Internet issues: the speed limit is coming from inside your house in most cases. If you're using a wireless router, it usually can't perform nearly as fast as a wire ran from your router. If you're broadcasting NEVER use the wireless on your production machine. There are too may problems which are easily solved with a wire. Speed is one of them. Security another. Wireless should only be used for non critical systems which don't need that kind of dataflow. Your phone for one. My work machines are never using wireless -- even if I'm using a temp laptop I use wired ethernet. These are the 3 weak links in your network: the modem must support the full speed of the ISPs connection. The router must be able to support it as well. Wireless can never be as fast, reliable, or secure as wired. Wireless has to heavily compete for signal bandwidth in cities.

The problem isn't that it's "the greatest movie of all time" overseas, it's the fact that Hollywood movies have VASTLY better production value than movies and TV series overseas at the time. That has changed to some degree in current times, because foreign countries (especially the smaller ones) have more of their own people investing in their local film industries, plus places like China, Japan and Korea have upped their film making game with continued investment in growing those industries. Indonesia and the Philippines are slowly but surely maturing as well, especially if you consider some of their earlier efforts were truly bizarre, VERY low budget and at some times, straight off rip-offs of popular franchises (in which they were not the only ones to follow this approach - the West did exactly the same). You also have to consider that the Asian countries have had a film making history that only filmmakers and film students are even AWARE of (and sometimes, not even then), and some of their films go back DECADES. :/

I thought anime was weeb shit and only really watched Naruto. Death Note completely changed how I view anime. The serious themes, the character study, the true evil, and the life and death mind games made me completely rethink everything about writing and what makes something a well written piece of work. It’s just a game of cat and mouse with a small supernatural twist. Other than that, it’s complete detective vs. murderer thriller.

The problem isn't that it's "the greatest movie of all time" overseas, it's the fact that Hollywood movies have VASTLY better production value than movies and TV series overseas at the time. That has changed to some degree in current times, because foreign countries (especially the smaller ones) have more of their own people investing in their local film industries, plus places like China, Japan and Korea have upped their film making game with continued investment in growing those industries. Indonesia and the Philippines are slowly but surely maturing as well, especially if you consider some of their earlier efforts were truly bizarre, VERY low budget and at some times, straight off rip-offs of popular franchises (in which they were not the only ones to follow this approach - the West did exactly the same). You also have to consider that the Asian countries have had a film making history that only filmmakers and film students are even AWARE of (and sometimes, not even then), and some of their films go back DECADES. :/

The next movie would be the best part of the next movie, opening with an apocalyptic last stand battle, and you would have to explain how Alice survives a fight that NO-ONE could. @@ArrakisHeir88 I think you could convince them to do Death Note and if they watch that I think that would change their opinion of anime. It did for me when I was like 13. I thought anime was weeb shit and only really watched Naruto. Death Note completely changed how I view anime. The serious themes, the character study, the true evil, and the life and death mind games made me completely rethink everything about writing and what makes something a well written piece of work.
It’s just a game of cat and mouse with a small supernatural twist. Other than that, it’s complete detective vs. murderer thriller.
I'm kinda curious now that we are talking miniseries. How do you all rate "The 10th Kingdom" and other Mini series from the early 2000's. Because I'm going to be honest I think that one in particular is cheesy as hell but way more enjoyable then most of the modern stuff.

I haven't played them all, but I know souls games are very lore rich. You just have to work a little bit to figure it all out ie reading item descriptions, repeatedly talking to npcs, maybe even killing the npcs to read more item descriptions, etc
