      Same, I absolutely hate glass backs. It feels too glassy in your hand, fingerprints magnet, and like you have said, shatters. Don't unnderstand all the negative feedback on this plastic back.

      You're welcome. I believe the Note 20 Ultra has the copper block or vapor chamber but the note 20 seems to have a 3D graphite/graphene layer or block which also is used for transferring heat. Not sure which is better but its a first I've personally seen being used in this method in place of a copper block or vapor chamber.

    Thx! Got me through a glass+digitizer replacement. Two things not covered though: (1) At 2:10, the Main-Sub cable in my unit doesn't just have two ends like yours, in mine there is a "T" off that cable that connects to a component in the side edge of the housing, which is held in by two screws. That component came out with no problem but it was a tense moment haha. (2) You didn't take out the "J50" hockey puck in the corner (vibration?). No worries, it just lifts out no problem. - - - The screen replacement I got was essentially the whole front housing for $200, expensive but I'm not cool with trying to install glass. Last thing, the new housing I got included the S-Pen charger, so didn't need to tease that off. Thanks again.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 года назад

      You're welcome. Yea always easiest and best to replace with the midframe assembly attached to the screen. Its a pain to do it without. And that's odd, wouldn't think there would be a difference as far as the cables inside for different region versions.

    Great video. My screen now looks washed out. The black is not black and the colours not vivid. Sometimes .. the vividness of the OLED comes back ... but then it becomes slightly washed out again ... is it the screen or could it just be the connectors not seating properly? I also notice my phones runs quite hot .. especially near the rear camera area.

    • @PBKreviews

    hi i live in germany and i imported note 20 ultra in snapdragon version. 7 days ago the mobile phone display broke and had it repaired. The display works but the selfie camara doesn't work. if I go into the Kamara app it says camera error. Repairman said bring your cell phone by tomorrow and we'll check it out. The display of my device is the N9860 (Snapdragon model) , but what the repairman put in is N986 (Exynos model) . The display works, the fingerprint sensor works but only the front camara doesn't work. Is it because the display of the Note 20 Ultra Exynos model is not compatible with the Snapdragon model or because the repairer forgot to connect the Camara?
    Thanks for the answer ❤
    PS. My english is very bad i use google translate

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  3 года назад

      Hi, the display would not be the issue since it would be identical screens and the screens have nothing to do with the camera connection. So it's probably they did not connect the front facing camera cable or they didn't click it in the connector all the way. Should be an easy fix and if by any chance they damaged the camera cable or something, the camera should be fairly cheap as well so does not seem like a major problem. As long as nothing on the main board was damaged (like breaking the connector or a chip) then all should be good.

    My favorite model from Samsung due to my daily tasks, but it got black screen out of nothing. It vibrates, it gets charged and it does the force reboot, but the screen doesn't show up any image. I apply many tricks found here in RUclips and it turned on once, then black screen returned.

      Can be many things, maybe the connector for the screen cable is loose or disconnected, maybe there is a hairline crack in the screen somewhere by the corner not visible causing an issue, or water damage etc.

It turned on once and the screen was perfect.😔 It might be the first option, because when the screen showed up the Samsung Logo and I used it for 5 minutes, I was massaging the screen below and magic happened😅, after my 5 minutes of replaying some messages it turned off by its own again 😕. I've seen some options about disconnect the battery and reconnect it after 45 s, now you mention the screen cable. So, I definitely appreciate your tips. I'll try!🤗

      Just a bit sped up and so forth to save time on video. You can apply isopropyl alcohol (www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/iFixit-Adhesive-Remover/IF145-400?o=4) to the sides of the battery and let it sit 30 seconds so it eats away at the adhesive under the battery making it easier to pry off.

      You do get the metal frame. I've been using the Galaxy A50 which is all plastic, the Note 20 looks and feels premium compared to lower end devices. The plastic back has a nice matte feel.

    • @deewinc
      @deewinc 4 года назад

      @@Gamers_Revolution ~ that's the point. To hoodwink current A-series users up to A7 2019 to think that the Note 10 Lite, S10Lite, and the Note 20 are premium despite having a plastic back.
      A-series phones from the A3 all had a Glass-Aluminium-Glass construction from way back in 2016.
      Plastics belonged to J-Series. Samsung re-badged the J-Series with A-Series and took away all that upper mid-range high quality premium build that A-Series had.
      That's why your current A50 is plastic and my 2016 A7 is All glass and Aluminium chassis. That makes you see the Note 20 with a plastic back and Aluminium chassis as premium.
      But to those of us used to owning true premium built phones by Samsung know it's a rip-off.

      I'm personally using the Note 20 ultra and loving it at the moment, but haven't used the Note 20. I feel the Note 20 would be best to wait a little for a price drop or good sale that people looking to buy would jump. Aside from the no easy pull tabs for battery removal and the plastic back (even though it has its benefits), I think the Note 20 is a well build device. The frame itself was lightweight but sturdy n strong and overall is a great phone. The price can be better though.
