@gpfraser1, it's a wonderful hike and I highly recommend it when the weather is good, you have the right gear and you have decent fitness.

My son and I did the Pemi Loop about 28 years ago. By the third day our legs were so beat we had to push each other over fallen trees on the trail. Checking out you list of videos and holy cow you must have worn out a lot of hiking boots in your days. Loved Franconia Ridge.

I had been wanting to do the Pemi for a few years when the group from work decided to g. I had to make it happen. I have been sciatica pain for a year now and it was difficult to complete the loop. I'll be getting some surgery before xmas to take care of it. Next year, I plan to get some more NH4Ks. How old was your son when you went?

    Hi John.
Impressed with your efforts to complete this hike!
Thankful you made it, especially without injury.
I enjoyed the video and the nice scenes you provided.
    Thanks, and God Bless!

Ken, you'll find that some of the Pemi Loop overlaps with the AT. It is difficult, but if I was in better shape and had my sciatica under control this would have been a little easier. The views from Franconia Ridge were very special. Thanks for your support!

@@OutdoorsWithJohnUSA I've seen videos of AT hikes over Franconia Ridge - some rate it as one otheir favorite places on the AT. I think that your doing this hike with sciatica says alot about your physical conditioning - well done!

I'm working with my doctors to do something about the sciatica. I'll know more in a month.

@@OutdoorsWithJohnUSA I've had some lower back problems with sometimes caused sciatica. After going to a doctor and chiropractor, it appeared (for me) that stretching and walking helped. God Bless you with His Healing Grace. 🙏🙏

Glad to find your channel John, I’m a CT guy as well and I’ve hiked all the peaks on the pemi except Garfield and Zealand. That is super rugged country. I wasn’t crazy about Guyot, too crowded. But great video and congratulations on completing the loop.

Sorry you couldn't grab Galehead, so close! But that South Twin climb is rough so you made the right choice. I've heard of the Guyot campsite being a mob-scene during the summer. I think I would prefer my winter trip there, haha. I'd ask if you made it to West Bond for the sunset but that many at people at Guyot I doubt there'd have been room on the summit. Great work on this tough hike!
I should start to compile that Terrifying 25 list. I may be getting close at this point.

Seth, Missing Galehead and West Bond have given me good reason to return. I am already musing on a trip that involves them and North Twin. When I saw the Guyot Shelter, it made me think of your trip. You should tackle the terrifying 25 or the 52 with a view list.
