Great tips, Ashlee! I definitely need my alone time. Every evening, my hubby puts the kids to bed and I clean up after dinner and then have some quiet time for myself.

I agree about the exercise - I don't get it everyday but I getting it consistently each week and is something I can count on. I notice a huge difference in my overall mood and attitude when I'm getting regular exercise and when I'm not.
Meal prep/planning is another sanity saver for me. I meal plan for the month and prep as much as I can at the beginning of the month so that each night is so much easier. Along those lines, I also try to make extras of a big breakfast once a week (which I'm in the middle of right now!) so that we can use the extras on other mornings and that helps especially if we're trying to get out the door quickly.
For homeschool specifically, don't feel like you need to do "all the things" (i.e. art projects, field trips, science experiments). I'm still learning and practicing this but, since implementing it a few months ago, I have felt so much less pressure in our homeschool which has made us all saner.

Sara Weston I agree with all of that! Especially the science projects art etc. keeping things simple is definitely another sanity saver! Thankyou for mentioning that. Also, practicing that one myself!

Great video. I have a morning ritual where I get up at 5 to pray and have devotions, then do whatever I want, think, plan, watch videos etc. so I get 2 to 3 hours by myself! Its the best thing I have ever done!

These r great tips!! I have hit a wall mentally.. I home school my 13 year old and my 8 year old.. I also am a full time online student finishing up my degree.. it has been sooo challenging lately trying to fit everything in.. like you said that white space is a must.. I try, but my courses make it a challenge.. I agree the alone time is a must.. I try to get my alone time in 1-2 times a week.. a lot of the times my alone time is late at night studying, but it is uninterrupted so it is nice.

Kim Vasquez hugs mama, I know how hard it is to be squeezing in school for mom too, I don't blame you for hitting a wall!

Rachel at day2dayjoys Yes, I NEED a break too! If we actually get school finished completely in the morning, then I try to sneak away after lunch and the baby is down for a nap. A lot of times, I just go to my room, close the door, fold a load of laundry, and watch some RUclips videos. At least it's a break of sorts 😂

    Hi Ashlee,
Have you thought of doing night time and morning routine videos? Also, if you have any tips for sahms about how to find time for exercise and the best and most effective exercises that would be much appreciated!
