Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign. I didnt like that
1. The cgi got worse from war.
2. Proximus looks like a cgi monster more than an ape.
The last trilogy thrived on it’s serious and realistic execution of this world. Very sad to see that the visuals have already taken a comic book direction, even tho the plot, acting and script seem to be worthy of continuing the last movies, I am very afraid that Disney will turn this masterpiece into another marvel cinematic universe bullshit. They made too much money off that, they want to do it again now that their last money machine dried. Hopefully they dont do this to what’s possibly the most consistent saga in cinema history. The quality of everything seemed fine so far, though it was unfortunate to see a worse cgi for the apes, and this impossibly tall bonobo is very ridiculous. Hoping fir the best tho
caesar was also kind of oversized too tbh almost eye level with grown men, when an actual chimp would be around 4 foot something 5 feet at best
It's been 300 years, I'm sure they sized up and are continuing to evolve, surpassing their ancestors.

@@RayanM007 there is no way they could have escaped for 300 years when the virus was airborne, and mutated alone after 5 years from infection, unless some became resistant to the mutation.
Proximus Caesar looks like a tyrant not unlike real life historical figures. He might be one of the most iconic villains of the decade. Looking forward to it!

This movie is going to be epic! Might be the best one in the franchise. I loved all of the previous films. It seems like the protagonist of this movie is a lot like Caesar. and Proximus Caesar sounds like he's going to be an evil dictator or something.

I don't get the feeling that Proximus Caesar hates humans like Koba did. I actually think he's intrigued by them and wants to emulate humans when they were the dominant species on the planet. Like an evil King Louie from The Jungle Book.
I think he’s going to have a high evolutionary motive. Humans killed themselves due to hatred for their fellow man (one of the themes of all the movies) apes together strong like he says at his rally. He most likely wants to make a world like how it was but with no racism, hatred or ignorance as apes are United . He’s probably kidnapping humans to study them and see if he can find the secret to this knowledge.
Like the lawgiver says in the og series (beware the beast man for he is the devils pawn) so I feel we are going to see Proximus wants a world for just the apes and man since they failed and killed each other have no place in it and will be reduced to animals because according to Proximus that’s what they are.

Proximus is huge for a bonobo , most likely because the apes are evolving, becoming more humanized. In the original series they were the same height as men . But they will soon lose their strength advantage

Why does Proximus look like a giant?
Ikr, its probably the camera angle to make him look threatning and intimidating.
He is a giant. He's a bonobo, the smallest of the great apes. Throughout the last trilogy all of the apes have been more or less the same size as they are in real life, just a little bit bigger. They've broken that trend with Proximus though because he's gigantic, he looks like a lean tall gorilla in stature. I've been wondering if they'll explain this choice.
I sense the presence of Koba in Proximus Caesar. We know in nature that chimps and bonobos mate with multiple females, and when Koba became ruler for a few days in Dawn of the planet of the apes he must have mated with multiple females carring on his generation after generation. He may have taken the name Proximus Caesar but hes just Koba reincarnated. Both hate humans and followers of the real Caesar, and if Proximus Caesar (Koba reborn) completes his mission to wipe out all humans and control all the apes, hes going to show the world "Baby im back"

I feel like maes gonna turn out to be the true antagonist of the new trilogy, or ateast the main villain for the next movie. That would be honestly a nice twist...
And a probably reasonable one too as for as long as she lived: she and her friends were hunted by apes. Its not absurd to assume this could turn into pure hatred for apekind and probably wanting to exterminate them, be "top species" again. Throwing all sense of morality put the window and forgetting about noa's kindness to her, Basically in a sense: Mia turns into a human version of Koba

So I guess the talking human girl's going to have to bite the dust eventually. Can't have her sharing her genes and potentially creating a world full of talking humans. It wouldn't line up with the 1968 Planet of the Apes timeline.

Sorry but I'm disagree with @puliraja4801, it wasn't "more food and natural selection", I think that Wes and 20th Century fails checking the special effects... definitely the head of Proximus is too huge, outscale, compared with Mae head...
