Paranoid way of disposing large amounts of old optical media

Needed to dispose a big collection of CD/DVD's
Some contained private or classified information,
thus the reason they needed to be detroyed.
Idea of breaking them occurred to me but it was too
much hassle + it was too time consuming.
Instead I went with fast and "clean" solution.
Destroyed them the same way they were made ...
by "burning them"

Samo jedno pitanje sta ti je radio jadni etch instalacioni disk ili stari slackware diskovi da ih przis? Mogao si ostaviti negde u neku kutiju za arhivu kolekciju ili pokloniti nekome koga interesuje kolekcionarstvo :)
Dosta njih su upotrebljivi i danas, mislim radili bi pokrenuli bi se na starom hardveru.

This is safer than just breaking in two, you can still with good tools in a forensic lab take a part of data, not sequentail a lot but it can be done. On this way specially if you srey it witha little liquid more or wash them before you can fry them inside and out. Cheers fooctrl

Lol! A good idea to put private info on a cd and label it "debian etch"!!! Nobody would want to bother with it.
