Still need more Dave? I post to r/reptiles pretty frequently. Check the place out.
See you around.
the way he washed the plant SENT ME omg lmao
Lol love the sarcasm of tossing the plant in the sink 😂 thanks for the video! Checking out your content on whites tree frog :) just set up my terrarium and picking up my frog baby in a few days! 💚🐸
I was soooooo scared when he through the plant into the sink.
Thank you so much , I recently got a frog and I was so afraid and didn’t know how to clean it, thank you :))
He is so cute 😍
Omg ur frog is ADORABLE
Very funny and helpful video. It really helped!
I have a new frog and I was told not to touch it with my hands. I was told to put clean gloves on and pick him up after rinsing the gloves. Makes sense to me!
I’m a Dave stan for life
Three questions.
One. Where should you put your frog if you're cleaning their habitat?
Two. What *kind* of habitat should I put her in? (I'm planning to get a red eyed tree frog)
Three. Do you have any tips on taking care of a red eyed frog?
Shotowo 1) You can have someone hold them or buy a separate, smaller cage to keep them in while you clean.
2) Id check this site out for tips on a red eye tree frog habitat: www.frogpets.com/tree-frog-terrarium/
3) I personally have never owned a red eye tree frog, but I would recommend you check this site out as well for info on taking care of them: www.lllreptile.com/articles/116-red-eyed-tree-frogs/
It goes pretty in depth and seems really well researched.
If you have any other questions don’t be afraid to ask!
Good luck with your red eye! Those guys are hella cool👍
When cleaning should you just use water since their skin sensitive(treated water of course)?
Tyyyyyy!
I’m 13 yrs. old and need a bit of help,What shall I do when I go on holiday my cage is 30x30x60cm for feeding and changing water bowl ,.
You’ll have to hire a pet sitter! Or find a friend or relative who can take care of him while you’re gone
Thanks
You sounds like Ferris Bueller lol
Do I need to clear out the poop from they’re terrarium everyday? Or every other day something like that?
Everyday. Their humidity is gonna be high so clean it out!
Winnie Ting thank you 😊
Is that no burnam art is dead playing in the background?? Or I am just hearing things
Is he a Aussie green frog?
He is. You can also call them whites tree frogs, which is the same thing as the Aussie green frog.
Lol. How did clean up of human habitat go?
taleandclaw rock it never goes as well as the other habitat clean ups believe it or not 😂
What if I wanna use tap water that is filtered which guarantees clean water? Or does it still harm the frog?
I was rlly sad when he said he wasn’t gonna give us a tutorial on how to clean the log 👁💧👄💧👁
Or or.... get some isopods to eat the frog waste. Lmao. Maybe some spring tails too.
Is that what you do?
@@evasmojang yep. I have both in my cage. They eat alot of waste.
@@evasmojang you'll still have to remove the poop on the wall yourself.
@@AfterAllWeAreHuman Oh okay, thanks.
This is great. Lol
My tree frog his tank is so messy when I go to clean it and when I do clean it 1 hour later he messes it all up
HA HA, NAUGHTY FROG.
Do you also have to clean the frog from time to time?
Tessa Fields Nah, I don’t think I’d recommend that
*aggressively throws plant into sink*
What about reverse osmosis water cause I’m going to be using reverse osmosis water filtration system
Hello! This is another random question. Are frogs able to have clay on their head? I mean if I make a mushroom hat that’s clay and painted. I’m not sure if it’s safe
If it were put in the kiln and glazed than yes, you should be able to (but your frog might be pretty confused while it’s on haha); however, if it’s just wet, molded clay, you shouldn’t.
Don’t use purified drinking water or RO water for frogs cause that’s to pure, they need vitamins in water. Just make sure you dechlorinate it.
What is that?
@@Zoda7 what is what exactly? :)
do i just have to boil a load of water and use that, or should i buy a bottle of dechlorinated water from a pet shop (or normal shop lol)-
@@beeboo2033 yeah I’m honestly not sure 🤔 but just to be safe maybe you should get some dechlorinator. :)
@@beeboo2033 oh Woops I read ur comment wrong, I had no idea they made already dechlorinated water! If that’s the case than go for it. But i do find it easier to just use a regular empty gallon, fill it up with tap water, than use a couple drops of dechlorinator in it.
That’s horrible to have to do that all the time. I wanted to give up because it smelled so bad sometimes but I love my little tree frog. I went to the Bio Dude in Clearlake, Texas!
They give you all the stuff you need to put in the terrarium And you don’t ever need to change it out. Y’all should check it out!!!
Also, they set you up so you can have live plants 🪴 And once again you never have to clean it out! They give you items to set it up just as it would be if the frog was in his own natural habitat.
And also I don’t do things just good enough I want the best for my frog so we could live a great life! Mama was wrong again! Haha (jj)
Also let’s not handle frogs because they don’t want to be handled!!!!
Hi I have a whites tree frog and when I was feeding it crickets this weird thing covered in small worms they were whiteish grey and it was this bark thing they were around can so,done Please tell me what that was and if it’s good or not? Thank you.
Sounds like termites. I’d take out whatever bark thing you have in there and maybe check the rest of the wooden stuff in your cage for them
Do you know anything about Arabian frogs?
2:23 💀
hi, Alex, I was wondering where you get your big branch is from?
I picked it up at a petsmart!
Here’s a link to it if you wanna take a look: www.petsmart.com/reptile/habitats-and-decor/habitat-decor/thrive-twigs-and-rock-reptile-decor-5290966.html?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI07vp8ZyE8gIV9wiICR09ZwLUEAQYFyABEgIvJfD_BwE
Are there different kind of tree frogs ? What kind is this ?
The Australian tree frog I think.
its an Australian tree frog also known as a dumpy tree frog or a whites tree frog
What do you do if the frog poops?
scoop it out he said
I've seen some people using paper towels instead of (or as a?) mulch, is it ok?
Yep that’s one way to do it, but it does require you to replace them pretty much every day, and if you’re going that route, id recommend reptile carpet since you can wash it every week and reuse it!
@@AlexLLWeeds Ok, tysm!
How many times a month/weeks do you need to clean it
Alex 8816 Animations I’d recommend once a month
AlexTheSwaggot thanks
I agree that once a month is sufficient for a full deep clean, but make sure you are scooping visible poop as you see it and washing their water dish in hot water daily.
Clean ur water once a day, then once a month for stuff.
What is your terrarium size
Awesome Aquatics! 2ft by 2ft by 2ft
Thanks
Do you know anything about leopard geckos ?
Active Shady I had one for a couple years back when I was 10-11, so I do have a little experience with them
AlexTheSwaggot awesome I have one two I have had her for about 3 years she is doing great she has been in a 10 gallon tank her whole life and doing good but I think it is time for a move up in size she is in a ten gallon with a green carpet on the bottom is it ok if I move her to a 15 gallon with eco earth substrate
Active Shady sounds like a perfectly cool idea to me. The bigger the better!
AlexTheSwaggot ok cool but that shouldn’t effect eating habits or anything like that rigt
Active Shady moving into a new environment can be stressful, so it might. Keep handling to a minimum and people traffic down during the first couple days of the move so it has time to make itself comfortable and explore

Can you use well water for frogs?
Hmm that’s a good question. I guess it depends on the ph and what minerals/chemicals may have leach into it, but to be safe (and since I don’t know), I’d go with bottled. Or you can buy something like a tap water treatment bottle/filter the water before you use it if buying water bottles all the time is too expensive.
how old are you cause you sound young!!
Sus
Why do you wanna know?
@@hakutheleopardgecko3053 I am just curious. And being young is a good thing so i guess it is a compliment!!!! I mean why not ask? no harm done!
The soil needs to be dampend
Looked a little dry but ok
What kind of bottled water would you recommend? I heard they need a pH level of 6.5-7.5
Birch Animations I personally use Aquafina, which is around 6 on the ph scale. But any water from 5-7 should be completely fine for your frog👍
@@AlexLLWeeds Thank you!
