i got a problem when i put bezier masking mine doesnt have 'Tracking' 'Option' 'Start' so i cant use my bezier mask anyone can help pls?

you kind of just skip from 'blend' to keyframes, and well...what keyframes are we setting? it appears you have some sort of auto tracking, but I don't have any option for that available.

In 16 version under composition no option to add ,when trying to add picture.anything else I can do???
I have a couple problems I cant figure out. When I do the bezier masking part, it only makes keyframes/tracks for the first 5 seconds of my 30 second video. Any way to fix this?
didnt explain how to remove the black background, you have to go to general options on the effect and mark "Mask FX" 3:22 is cutted in purpose

took me an hour to figure it out, not bad! i use to take 2 hours on normal tutorials
What was the issue?
@@VerticDesigns oh the issue is when I'm done with the masking the screen was black and only the masked part is the video
@@VerticDesigns I got rid of it tho by disabling the masking effect and it worked at the end

what if a want to track a video inside a video, for example, when using a green screen of a tv and the camera is moving, is it possible on vegas?
Yes it's possible, you'd need to set it to location, rotation, scale and perspective but the 3d perspective isn't the best so you may need to correct it
@@VerticDesigns oh i forgot to mention, does it work if a use vegas 11? i mean, i’m currently trying to rotate a text in a 3D angle but the “Z” option doesn’t appear, just “X” and “Y”
it looks unprofessional when i try to make it look like the text is attached to a wall, it’s like positioning an image without giving it depth
@@rogerdert yeh that's the downside of tracking in vegas its very basic and you can do it in vegas pro 11 but you'll have to manually do it because that version didn't have auto tracking but for 3D tracking id definitely recommend a third party plugin like Mocha because it's a lot better and accurate with the X,Y,Z
why does it stop making frames at a certain point when I use key intervals?
If you selected "track all forwards" then it should do the whole duration unless it finds a certain part which it may struggle to auto create the keyframes or it may have lost the tracking location / region
that's why it's best to sometimes break it down into segments if the tracking becomes more difficult

do you have a tutorial on how to motion track a person in a video? example - the screen moves wherever the person's hands moves and follows it. I believe it's called camera motion track but I'm not too sure
I know what you mean and I'll find a way to do it because at the moment vegas pro doesn't have an option to let you track the camera motion automatically but there may be plugins out there or some sort of trick aha

First you'd duplicate the video layer and add the picture in picture effect and flip the video vertically. Use the bezier mask to create an area around the eye. Then using the picture in picture effect to move the video in the start position and then track the rest

Hi VerticDesigns, I would like to know what happens when the object being tracked leaves the screen, but the bubble text is still on the screen. Example if you have a long text line tag thats following the car, the car moves off video frame. So then the tracking stops right but part of the text is still on screen ? SO weve got to move that manually off screen by key framing ?

Yeh the first time is always confusing to get your head around how it works but it becomes easier
What hardware do you suggest for doing this kind of work. I am a long time Sony Vegas user. I edit 4K video but only using 720p proxies. But even for that the system chokes when doing anything complex such as color correction or video stabilization (causes crashes). Id really like to know, in essence its editing a 720p file, what computer these days cant edit a 720p file with a few CC filters thrown on and some motion tracking etc ? Is it really making a 720p proxy or not ? Same thing when i take a pure 720p video from my DSLR or something and edit it, it runs buttery smooth on the timeline, with effects etc and even does stabilization well. I dont care about render times. Im only looking for timeline n preview performance.
Yeah vegas just crashes constantly on me when i start doing complex things. I've been told to lower the settings, and change preview window to the bare minimum, but still. I shouldn't have to when I built a tank for a computer system.

Yeh for that there's an extension that let's you track text or you could use normal text then use pip effect and track it as if its a picture

Select 2 clips:
Tools -> Extentions -> Copy motion Track to PiP
Next to video fx theres a cross and i clicked on it by accident so do you know how to bring it back
Go to *Window* 》*View* 》and find it in that list then click on it and to dock it back into it's area hold CTRL and left click drag it over that area

@@luiscivo yeh they've changed it now bezier masking is now just for mask tracking for motion tracking I've done a updated video on it

I've been looking at it myself and trying to copy the keyframes over to the event/crop but so far I don't think there is an option but I know there's plugins out there that will let you do it and extensions hopefully that will be added soon if it's not already with vegas 17

Have you got Vegas 18? With the new one they've moved it to its own separate panel so the beizer masking is just for masking only now

I don’t have « copy mask to pp » in tools…
when I tried to copy the motion track, its saying an argument is out of it's legal range.
Make sure there is only one bezar mask effect applied to your video clip.
It says “you must first add the Picture in pictuee plug in the event”

Dam, unfortunately crashing is a big problem with Vegas Pro even to this day with latest version. I'd say to try giving vegas more ram, run it as admin to increase priority, lower the video preview to lowest quality or just update vegas. Final thing is you could check see if you're running 32bit that can make the performance slow
