I had been planning my amazon prime day purchases for a while. I tend to just drop things in my cart and mull it over and literally wait for a big sale (prime days, black friday, sale alerts). Often times in between, a lot of stuff drops off the cart. No impulse buying allowed, but I get to window shop a bit by putting it in the cart. I am like you, prefer to click on the smaller affiliate links and do so very intentionally. The big creators don't need help from me.
