If there are any other reason you can think of that players are struggling early on vs BOSSES?
Because they're cheap, essentially go fight pyro roll under him and watch his arm follow you with laser accuracy thru his own body and out his back.
Enemy accuracy is aimbot levels to the point I don't think they even attempted to program a dice roll for hits.
Have a question can this info be used for general gameplay as well or is this only for bosses?
Biggest is the fact they fighting them way sooner than they should be. Seeing lvl 15 players fighting like 33 boss is nuts

@@keithbrackens1576when they do use their abilities, they don't even use the right one for the job.. I've seen way too many Bunny players get smoked by the boss because they're hugging its feet with their 3 active instead of hanging back and beaming it with their 4
@kazumablackwing4270 holy shit you just made me realize. I've played 40 hours and never seen a bunny ult in a single intercept fight. I forgot she even had it. And I've easily had 50 intercepts(more if you count the losses to pyro)
Elemental resistance is definitely important, I've also noticed people don't kill the adds either. Just seems like people have DPS tunnel vision lol
Yes resistance very important but also No Damage is so big
I mean you can combine both DPS and resistance, but it’s the lack of common sense thats the real fail, For example so many people fight bride with absolutely no situational awareness whatsoever, you get 3 lives and they don’t even bother to pick each other up. But you also have to have a high DPS for her at first because the time limit can be harsh for the first win.
Cos everyones builds are so dogshit they believe they cannot afford to stop shooting the boss unless they are about to die, and then they still die.
I think an in game chat would be super helpful in this regard . A lot of new people are playing and don’t really know how to play.

This is one reason why I haven't put this game down yet, it's the fact that you have to (or can) use different descendants for different boss fights

no you dont. ive killed them all with one toon. its only your abilities elemental type that does reduced dmg. but your abilities do maybe 25% of the work the rest is guns. put on a elemental mod for your gun and go to town its simple
Well of course you don't have to per say but I like to switch em up. I haven't gotten gley yet.

I hit a wall with the Dead Bride. I could not get past this boss and therefore, I could not progress in the game. I finally defeated Dead Bride yesterday running Gley with three random players. I'm working on the Devourer now.
Thanks for the video. The part about the right external components to use was really important, as I didn't know which ones to focus on. I was always focusing on shield. As a precaution I always kept one of each. HP, DEF and Shield.
Yeah shield seems to be not worth it compared to hp and def you will see the difference
So far, only problem I had is with the stunning beauty. I used Ajax which worked well because the ability to use the wall and the circle protection. The two fights I lost, out of the 4 of us, there were 3 bunnies and myself.

brooo ty so much for this! these stats and attributes were a bit confusing to me and made a huge difference now that i know about whats what im wrecking shop!
From what I can tell accessories add to your base DEF and resistances, then mods scale it up to ridiculous amounts. You can finish main story by just slapping on an accessory with the needed resist stat, they usually give enough res to reach recommended value without a mod. If you find accessories with high resist substat keep them, you'll be happy to have them eventually
Components can also roll dps stats as well so don't forget about that.
I been telling my friends they need to put resistance on and some HP they always dying 😅

Def need them resistance mods. I like how the descendants have mostly defensive and skill mods and the weapons have all the dps mods. Gives it a nice balance and you don't have to really sacrifice defense for dps.
Reason 1-5: Your teammates have garbage builds and don't know what's going on.
One of the reasons I discovered is that Im failing boss fights because I don't solo them. Tried it today with Gley for the first time in frustration and was surprised how doable it was.
Boss is nerfed if you are just 1 person, and if you, like I, can be bothered to spend time on youtube learning from you guys this is the way to go.
When Im overpowered for a boss I then play as a team to farm amorphous materials to help carry those who are struggling.
Forget building into skills. Farm a tank, build a tank, take resistance into account, build a BFG, and off you go.
Ajax and Gley have the highest H.P. and Defence in the game I reckon and Gley has some great self sustain.
Another descendant everyone sleeps on is Lepic😂 he’s got solid stats, and his skills hit hard. He was my starter character and I very rarely die in any mission, I’m usually reviving people.

Indeed, he has great defensive stats and makes for an excellent hybrid and youd probably never need another one.
In fairness, in my limited experience as Ive only reached hard mode yesterday, it seems to me that any Decendant can perform well in almost all content if they are built and played right.

Also try to play with your team in group play, don't run miles away when the boss is targeting you, chose to do circles and zigzags get close to your teamates so they will have less difficulty to revive you. Try to focus the same weakpoint. Keep your big cooldowns and burst damage for when the boss is stunned or not targeting you. Practice the boss solo first, prepare a weapon strategy based on ennemy weakness. Yes tamer is good, but maybe a good hand canon will do better against a boss weak to this type of damage and you will be much more mobile.
Skillz has the best coverage on this game so far that i've seen. I was definitely humbled over the last weekend in this game. I got stuck at the the Dead Bride colossus battle. I quickly realized after a few of these videos is that my character was simply not leveled up enough to tackle it as we kept dying over and over. I am going to go in and take a look at my mods as i have just been using the "equip recommended mod" option. Now that some of this has been explained better i will go in and adjust and prep for the fight as needed (gotta level up a bit more though). One question i do have is this...i have the thunder cage and really want to use it BUT since its level 1 and my character is level 27 or so, is it worth doing a level transmission now? I have seen some folks suggesting to wait until the end when everything is leveled up so you don't waste resources. I know i can play however i want but looking to see how you feel about it. Thanks!
Great video and the thing I notice is people also do not mod for DEF or Health. You can't DPS is your down all the time.

For Colossus fights I make sure I have weak point damage more than crit, and then a matching "adds Atk of X% firearms Atk, or find a weapon that dropped with the appropriate element. Devourer is weak to Electric but the Electric ATK mod for regular rounds isn't available until after you beat him ...
Randomly match a group who die instantly. Randomly match ppl who melt boss in 5 secs. Just keep trying it's pretty quick
I got Viessa, Freyna, Bunny, Lepic and Valby all to max level just for this element reason and it’s just fun to switch up your characters as often as you want!

You failed to mention that bosses are also weak to a certain bullet type. This is shown in top left of boss screen. For example the Stunning Beauty you were showing is weak to "crush". Different weapons use different bullet damage so try to match those up as well for a dps bonus.

Coming from Warframe, I already knew about the melee mod raising mod capacity, a Frame's Aura mod does basically the same thing, but it's good to tell new players here about that. Does adding a socket type raise the amount of increased capacity that slot gives same as Warframe does?
Also, I was reminded about team scaling for the Colossi. Should people try soloing the bosses if running in a team is causing trouble? Is it a big difference in difficulty?
I feel like I just “got gud” today/yesterday… and what really changed for me was every time I go into a fight, I change all my modules and possibly reactors as well… if it says weak to frost, you need to be putting chill ATK and chill atk boost on every weapon you have. Boost all defenses and atk boost/weak spot modules. Like today I got my HP, Shield, defense, and attunement defenses all maxxed out… night and day not getting one shot.
General question, what are your thoughts on the difficulty of hard mode?
Personally I don't feel there was much of a change compared to the end of the campaign on normal difficulty, even with all mods on a dungeon it's not challenging. With the exception of Colossus I don't notice much difference, so from what I can see these would be the only purpose of fully optimising gear?
Can I roll different weapons with those specific attributes instead of changing descendants?
Make a mod page for regular missions and make a second page to sub in elemental resistance. Getting 800 plus for any resist at level 20 is easy. Don't worry about skill mods on Colossus fights. Buff weapons for element attack and mods for resist and hp and defense.
I am not sure if those resistances on bosses actually work. I have tried to fight them with characters that are weak against them on paper and on characters that should in theory counter a boss yet in terms of damage it makes no difference. The shields and health still go do down at the same slow ass rate.
with regards to external components, as an Ajax Main I focus on Def because it makes my barriers tankier
Sorry if it been told before me, i didn’t read all the comment. I wasn’t able to do Piromaniac in a group of 4 but when i try solo i have done it first try. I use bunny lvl 40, 4k HP, gear lvl 65, maybe around 1.4k fire resit because it is on one element i have and not for outside buff. I do have die once, but i was able to kill the boss. All the try i have done in public group never worked so it not always because of your skill or gear.

Stuck on devourer, my descendent is maxed out and my modules and reactors are all in the 50s, but can’t get enough damage… I’m currently trying to farm to enhance mods atm but idk what else to do

I'm in the same boat! All the groups I end up being in are in their 30s and get dropped by his toxic within 2 seconds.
I think I have another one.. some players don't know what to do when a colossal went to immune-mode of sorts.. I think, not all colossal bosses are like this but most of the bosses starting from grave walker has it.. I'm talking about the pink-colour tube looking that will appear on their bodies.. most players don't know that you need to destroy it in order for the colossal to lose its immunity immediately.. most players just wait it until it's gone..
Grave walker I think is given since those pink-looking tubes will appear right in front of you.. But after that, it's kind of subtle though not entirely.. I guess that's the reason..
That is great point! it does tell you in the starting screen for those bosses but if your unsure of the mechanics you won’t know what it’s for
4 modules to prioritize. HP for your descendant, then the 3 rifle reinforcements. that will nearly take you to end game.
I was trying todo some boss fight last night an kept getting put in matches with guys using lvl 1 characters some people are just dumb an ive noticed alot dont use there skills enough an just shoot can at least use skills on little guys
Ah been in some gopd teams , resistance and dps teams actually helped alot overcame these big bosses first go , yes odd team member went down myself included but one of us always pick up our team member , im always looking at mods , weapons what to use etc before boss fight, a learning curve definitely, still learning no pro by long shot but in better place from when i first started ....😅😂
1 day matching with random to pass devourer. Fail miserably all the time. Solo him easy with lvl 53 assault gun and bunny. Save the ult for the things that heal him.
First colossal i had problems with as gley was pyromaniac. Once i added fire resist mod i got it
Also a weak point tamer helped
I’m currently on pyromaniac with valby level 20 and the game refuses to give me people who are on maxed level characters. I’m not looking to get carried, but I do my part. The game is more inclined to give me level 1-10 teammates than ones on my actual level or higher

Idk what region you're on but ive been playing with a good diversity of descendants. In the open world where i see more bunny just coz of how optimal it is to finish the story with bunny

The amount of people who just use Bunny because they heard she was meta is insane. Everyone I played with in 4 tries with Stunning Beauty used her. I used Ves. It was horrible to play. Then I got in one with no one using Bunny and we killed Stunning Beauty easily.
sure but I feel like the boss's resistance doesn't matter that much because early descendant are terrible against bosses anyways so you wont be benefiting from their skills against bosses, soo all that matter is your guns and your own resistance, well mostly at least.
I like how your tip is to research, stunning beauty is very strong against Electric, so don't use Bunny... Then shows us a clip of using Bunny against Stunning Beauty 😂. Still some really good tips though, especially about spec'ing HP and DEF ahead of shield. Thankyou!

Critical rate is practically useless on a general round weapon cuz their base crit is so low

First days yes. Nowadays everybody knows and boss is at 10% when you have to play the enrage once.
Resistance. Always...boost...resistance. at least up to the recommended number. So much farming for characters to get those elem damage matches...

you do no need to switch class. the majority of abilities are low dmg anyway you will do more dmg simply by shooting a weak spot with your gun. put a elemental atk mod of the element they are weakest to on your guns and go to town. also stack life def and resistance . if it say 1600 resistance recommended get more. going i normally have 2-3x more than recommended and with 8k life and 25k def i literally can stand and face tank the bosses attacks and it hardly hurts me.

Hangman boss was easy for me I only kill ads if I need ammo I just put out so much DPS with my mods being max. I run a good team always with one tank and the rest is DPS. Even on hard mode

Reason 1 for normal player.stop using bunny ,she basically not suit the boss fight cause low health and low defend,use the starter three characters will change your mind
This game is difficult, can't do those hacking missions or any mission that requires you to stay in a circle. Too many enemies spawn. They really need to reduce the difficulty.

Tbh for the normal bosses, you just need to dodge and break parts. Hit crits or weak points and elemental advantage. I’m fighting hard mode bosses rn, you’d be surprised the amount of brainless ppl who just join with bunny, she’s a cool character but she’s not for certain bosses. Level up multiple characters, level up weapons, and use elemental advantage.
I'm pretty sure people just don't know that mods exist...and the people who dont know aka the bunny mains...also arent watching a video...they turn the game on to shoot at things blindly for a few hours with no desire to be good. This is most gamers...its why cod breaks sales every year.

It’s the freaking blueberries I literally spent one whole day trying to do the hanged man boss in this sad thing is is it wasn’t even freaking hard. I was literally doing everything I could to explain to the blueberries what to do how to do it and they just wouldn’t listen or they would keep dying. I mean it was so freaking pathetic that I almost lost it. I don’t understand why people don’t listen to other people when they’re playing games. I should’ve never made the last boss where you have to play with other people makes the game really toxic

i mean, almost everyone ive seen thats struggling is complaning about taking too much damage and then you find out they havent modded there characters or leveled up mods at all. you dont even need ele resist for any of the normal mode bosses. put. HP. and. DEFENSE. mods. on. your. toons. if your level 40 and you have under 9k hp leave the raids and go finish modding your characters. p.s farm other characters and stop bringing bunny to fights, shes trash at bossing.

Do it solo. I had between 20-30 attempts with randoms who kept dying, killed him on my 2nd solo attempt.
Reason number one: Unlike most RUclipsrs normal players don't spend hundreds of dollars for fully kitted out guns and descendants because normal players don't buy multiple Catalysts and Activators in the shop.
I have only bought two skins and haven’t done anything to my guns but what I can by leveling. the activator I used I got at level 40 free. I been using my other character’s I have unlock free. You can play this game without spending mone

No, the only reason everyone is struggling with these bosses is because there is a stupid ten minute timer on them. It’s poor game design to incentivize players to the cash shop instead of fighting mandatory colossi to progress the story to farm items they need to be strong enough o properly fight the bosses in what is essential just a timer dps test. Its bad design, stop defending it.
In literally every other rpg ever, mandatory boss fights to progress a story are either not timed or allow you to go and level up elsewhere and coming back. This game doesn’t even allow you to do that because the module capacity has a hard limit that requires an energy activator or whatever it’s called to increase the capacity. Beyond the first free one(because it doesn’t apply to every character) without spending 50 hours farming it, it costs 25 bucks to buy the currency to do so. Its just predatory Nexon game design. Like I get it, you just love looter shooters and you get paid to cover and defend this slop, but let’s not pretend it’s some skill issue. Nexon was JUST sued recently for drop rate practices. This game is not good.
