Good and informative comparison. Not like most of the other videos here - where they go for 20 minutes, explaining the interior and exterior features of the car.
The G20 surpasses the F30 by a significant margin, offering notable enhancements across various aspects such as aesthetics (both inside and outside), technological features, and the overall driving experience.
Agree. I was given a g20 lci 330i as a loaner whilst my f30 340i was getting a service and I was very impressed. Definitely a massive heap in all departments I thought. B48 engine is actually very punchy too.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the iDrive 6 is something I wish my F30 has, especially for Spotify. I don't have an Apple phone so only in the G20 would that be of benefit. I might retrofit it to my F30 though 😁

6. Handbrake It’s an auto, what are you using the handbrake for? I got my first auto in 1985, and I’ve pretty much been auto only since 1996 except for a year or so with an 405 Mi16 when I just needed a ‘station’ car; never use the handbrake, ever.
I think you might've gotten it wrong about the weight. F30 is lighter than the G20 by a sizable margin. In fact, the F30 is the lightest generation since the E46.

Thanks very much!
Thanks, good review. Was looking at getting a F30 or G20. I think it will be the G20 now.
This comment makes doing car reviews worth the time. Thanks for watching and good luck with your G20 purchase!
Love the editing on this one. Short attention span generation.
Cheers Paul, yes in a world of audience retention being at an all-time low, I'm trying out shorter videos!
Great video! F34 328i guy here lol
Thank you! Love the F34. Out of interest, what sort of mpg do you get from that?
The G20 surpasses the F30 by a significant margin, offering notable enhancements across various aspects such as aesthetics (both inside and outside), technological features, and the overall driving experience.
I agree it's a step forward in most areas.

Should I get a 2018 340i or 330i g20 both will be under 30k miles need opinions and reasons
340i.
The straight six goodness is just too good to give up for the sake of a newer model.
My 2018 F30 has the idrive 6 which has Apple CarPlay Spotify and MyBMW app remote control features.

Is the idrive 6 an optional extra. Or does it come on the post 2018 models. ?
What is the engine difference between the g20 320d and the f30 320d ?

It's not essential but just habitual and an extra safety mechanism to not roll back down a hill?
I think you might've gotten it wrong about the weight. F30 is lighter than the G20 by a sizable margin. In fact, the F30 is the lightest generation since the E46.
Unless my source is wrong:
G20 1,450-1,965 kg (3,196.7-4,332.1 lb)
F30 1,385-1,769 kg (3,053.4-3,900.0 lb)
I think the F30 looks better.. but the Technology upgrade is UNDENIABLE
I like both looks wise but defo a big step forward in tech on the G20. Thanks for watching!
G20 is too big, size ruined it for me.
It's like an old 5 series!
If you don’t like the digital cockpit. U r too old.😂
