You have to get down at Kalpetta and catch a bus to meppadi. From Meppadi take a rickshaw to Zostel, costs around 100rs. Sight seeing when I went it was 1500 per day for a rickshaw. You can even share with the guests in zostel if anyone is willing to travel.
