I swear to God I'm the only one who loved the Green Goblin armor suit from the 2002 movie. It was much more realistic than a straight up comic book portrayal. So what if he looked like a Power Ranger villain costume? I thought it looked both cheesy and amazing.
Foxy Raccoon I love the costume
Me too.
Agreed
I never thought it was bad. When I first heard the critasicms I never understood it.
Foxy Raccoon i like it
Willem Dafoe is more than capable of making frightening expressions with his face. When I imagine him in Dehaan's goblin suit, I get goosebumps.
They had actually made an animitronic green goblin mask but willem dafoe rufused to wear it thats why they went with the power rangers mask their a video that shows the mask it was still a prototype but it was very promising
Sam did an ULTIMATE job on spiderman.
I see what u did there =℅)
I like the concept art! Green Goblin looks so scary in the concept art and Spider-Man has some really cool designs!
I like the design at 2:43!
everyone says the same Green Goblin Raimi suit looks ridiculous but if they put the original Green Goblin suit from the comics it would also look ridiculous
+Smooth Criminal Well.. The animatronic one he had was more awesome than ridiculous
It's kinda sad. No matter who plays Spider-Man, Tobey will always be Spider-Man. And don't lie, I bet when everyone saw Tobey in other films, they always thought of Peter Parker. Wish there could be a Spider-Man 4
These Concepts are awesome!
These designs of goblin should be reused in a future film.
Also, Concept Spidey looks similar to ASM2 Spidey.
wtf?!
why did they make the goblin look like a power ranger when they had these designs?!!?!?!?!?
snoopy super William Dafoe (actor who played the Green goblin) said the suit was too uncomfortable to wear so that's why they created another suit which is the one they used.
Guys the power ranger was originally a "spinoff" of the Japanese Spiderman show so that comment isn't that offense
Also, Sony was worried that the design might scare kids.
Those large eyes from the first bit of footage look so goddamn stupid. I'm glad they went with the sharper, slicker design in the final cut. It actually looked badass.
***** I'm talking about the Spider-Man eyes.
Back when Spiderman movies was critically acclaimed ;)
Lol he still is
Jonah Osburn Well... not so much lately in the movie world :/
Oh come on TASM 2 got mixed reviews . That means it got an even amount of positive and negative . Stop acting like this movie got terrible reviews . Ive read some very positive reviews for this movie . Also some very negative ones . All in all it was a good movie but nothing amazing . Most of it due to the studio interference . It had a lot of potential but fell short of it , which is why it got the mixed response from critics it did .
If you put together all the reviews from most of the critics you would get a 5/10. It's mediocre, and if you think otherwise that's cool to me. I wish I could love it like some other fans seems to do.
I love the first Amazing Spiderman, but it will never be remembered as a classic movie.
The first one is a classic, the upside down kiss, the score and of course it's the very first Spiderman movie. The second movie improved on everything from the first movie and even more, and that one is still, 14 years later, the best one of the franchise, loved by both the majority of critics and fans. The 3rd one got a pretty good reception from most critics and was hated by some fans. The reboot got mostly good reviews, and then the sequel got torn apart by 50% of the critics and 50% of the fans, and the critics that liked it hates every part that the other side of the critics, but the good just barely overshined the bad and so they gave it a ''positive'' review, with a 6-7 out of 10. One step from beign the modern days Batman Forever.
But who cares about ratings, what I meant by my comment is that the first 2 movies will be remembered as classics in the superhero genre, nothing after that, not even TASM1 (that I love), has proven that those 2 first ones can be beaten, which of course it could, in the future.
jose hernandez I've never taken the one from the 70s seriously, I knew this would happend when I wrote the comment...
I still wish spideman 4 was on its way. my 2 favourite spiderman movies are spiderman 1 and spiderman 3, and then would be spiderman 2
WHAT? Spider-Man 2 is WAY better than 3. The third one was shit thanks to Slutty Jane. Seriously. Raimi fucked way up with that character.
John Perez I liked spiderman 3 a lot. but that's my thoughts
John Perez opinions
Also thats just his thoughts man, jesus.
In my opinion, there has to be a Green Goblin in Spider-Man. He should be one of the first if not the first villian he fights. I want a Green Goblin like the one in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. That Goblin was organic and mutated and not having an exo type suit. I like the designs for Spider-Man and I think it looks really good. I personally LOVE the Raimi suit. I want a Goblin that shows Norman Osborn's genius and insanity. I want a huge, mutated, firey, goblin. Maybe he can have armor like in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show. Thanks for reading.
I think that Mark Webb went for a Hobgoblin in the amazing spiderman 2.
So much better than what we've got in SM1
Love your pic. Cx
John Perez thanks ;)
Everytime I see the early concept art Warren Manser did for the Green Goblin, I tear up a bit. The Green Goblin is one of my favourite characters, so even if I understand they wanted to to go the high tech route, it saddens me we most likely never see something like this on the big screen;
I really wanna see a Spiderman costume where his mask has emotions like in the comics anyone like how in the comics when Spiderman is surprised by something his eyes go bigger or angry you can see it in his face cgi it if you have to
I read somewhere that they tried that, but it turned out to be really creepy and Uncanny Valley-y, so they stuck with the unmoving eyes. I don't know if it's true or not though
Civil War?
Mysterious Enigma his eyes really can't squint or widen they can only zoom in or out which is what it looks like lens zooming in and out unlike the comics where they get real wide.
if this was for spider man 4 i would be like ANOTHA ONE
Those were some cool concept arts.
Better than Dane Deehan Goblin in my opinion
I agree
We need the ultimate goblin in the movies he's the best!
Are we talking Disney Ultimate or Original Ultimate?
obviously the original from the comics...
Then I agree!
Although I wasn't a big fan of the Green Goblin suit design in the 2002 'Spider-Man', it was definitely the right decision, the high tech approach worked for the character to justify the tech, as OsCorp deling with miliatry contracts. I honesty cannot see ANY reasoning for Norman Osborn to paint his face green, or put on a rubber mask (other than 'fanboy' logic) and I know for a while this was an consideration for the Raimi film (with screen tests available!).
As for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', Harry needs to mutate for every encounter, then put on the suit. REALLY(?)
Awesome I lire The Green goblin concept art
See, if they kept Spideys bigger eyes, and the webshooters and the original makeup they had for the Goblin with the animatronic mask, it would of been so much better. I love these Goblin designs and I also like the mask they originally had but it wasn't a smart move making his face hidden, with no expression.
Dude where have you been??
Its funny because I prefer all of the Green Goblin concept art over what we actually got in the movie
Why does concept art almost always look better than what actually appears?
does anyone have a link to the footage at 3:42?
Green Goblin has to have an animatronic head. HE HAS TO!!!!
I wish we had that Spider-Man outfit it looks better then the movie outfit
OMG!
They are AMAZING!!!.......
Why SONY?
WHY???? =(
Sony is stupid
Some of this concept art was in the 2 disc special edition of Spider-Man (2002).
Dang so spidey was going to have web shooters at first. Didn't know that
I just realized that the Venom movie is called "Venom Carnage". It so happens that in the "Venom Carnage" comics, Toxin was introduced and it was mainly about Patrick Mulligan adapting to a life as a superhero. Possible Spinoff???
All these art concepts and the darkness in it look like the Spiderman I have always wanted in the big screen. But, Instead of developing a SERIOUS film, we get some cheesy cartoonist Spiderman movies.
yes, the concept art reminds me of Alex Ross's work. A dark and adult themed Spider-Man.
***** He probably wanted to keep more of a classic feel to it, he, still, didn't really get it, but that's probably why.
If they want to bring Spiderman into the Marvel universe.
They shouldn't do another origin story. I mean come on?
It would be awsome if he would be introduced in Cap 3: Civil Wars
Somehow he gets related to Stark and becomes the Iron Spider
He should be a muscular, middle aged guy (30-37) and some facial hair. An experienced Spiderman.
That way they could explain where he has been all this time.
Hell, give the guy after that his own trilogy as the Ultimate Spiderman.
That way we could start inmediatly with some big plots and movies and he could have been kinda everywhere in the World.
Figting the Sinister Six, or Chasing down Venom or Carnage.
Maybe he goes back to his home town after all this time to see the Goblin again.
I would like to see an adult Spiderman. With some flashbacks to his past/origins.
A fresh, strong, moderne man.
The Ultimate Spiderman.
purepwnge1 They should do that if they brought Spider-Man into the MCU. The Alex Ross Spider-Man. That would be a pretty cool Spider-Man to see.
The Apex Predator I agree, I would even prefer it if they just rebooted spider-man and used Alex Ross's Spider-man as the basis for the new movies. I remember Stan Lee once commented on what made Spider-Man different from the other superheroes at the time, was his age and the issues Peter had to deal with ranging from zits, to high school crushes, bullying, rent/finances, getting a part time job, and yes even death of loved ones. I think they should definitely try adding more of the small things in the background of these films because all we're getting is Peter and Gwen + the Supervillain.
that thumbnail is awesome, where can I download it?
For anyone who thinks that Marc Webb is the one to blame for The Amazing Spider-Man series, you're sort of wrong. Sony is the one to blame. They gave him little-to-no control over the production of the movie which resulted into a bad movie.
All Sony needs to do is let the director take control and we'll finally get a good Spider-Man movie.
I agree, Spider man 3 was bad because of Sony. They wanted venom and Raimi wanted another villain but since sony forced raimi to put venom, the movie was bad.
Mr.Sharpshooter8 Exactly. They got greedy once Spider-Man became a worldwide phenomenon and they got screwed it up. It's like those Kung Fu stories when the master says to his apprentice to be patient in order to be a master, but if you rush it you fail it. Well, Sony proved those stories right since they can't wait before shoving tons of villains in one movie.
Yeah i mean Spider-Man 1 & 2 were amazing but then came the Sony decisions and screwed up 3, now they screwed up TASM 2 and is trying to get the series rebooted again
I like it a lot :)
Nice
The concepts are old news... but I agree with having a less high tech version. More mutated.
SevenWebHeads, will The Amazing Spider-man 3 exist in 2017 or 2018, or there will be a reboot with other cast?
it will be announced on febuary, If the franchise gets rebooted, then those movies won't happen, but if they will continue with the TASM franchise then it will happen
the winterassassin999 I see. Thank you!
I hope Sony won't reboot spider man again
Lord Vader what about the amazing spider man 1?
better then the force awakens
Where did you get the very first footage of Spider-Man from?
Mike Wilson a trailer
critical123 Either you're joking or you're still learning how to speak/read proper english.
I like most of these better than the suit they went with
Wait a minute... Looking at the concept art for Spider-Man... That's where they took the reference from, while making TASM?
The web shooters was cool
I would really love to see a Superior Spider-Man movie, but that would have to wait until after the Sinister Six movie....
Maybe an idea of Doc Ock movie is a better idea than the Sinister Six.
Bring on #SpiderMan4 and #BringBackTobey
I don't even want to call Danes green goblin the green goblin why one word HE NOT A GREEN GOBLIN ! he just some guy with sharp teeth and claws and this is he big one he DOSENT HAVE GREEN SKIN ! COME ON SONY are you trying to piss us off
Lord Vader thank you at least one person agrees with me
Lord Vader that true if only sony would give the rights to marvel so the spider man movies can get back on track TASM franchise had potential but it has little left to go on
We get it, you hate Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin!!!
The Apex Predator is that going toward me
The DCreader Yes.
1:57 Reminds me of the Grinch lol.
They might as well do the transformation goblin from the ultimate universe I prefer that goblin or the organic look instead of the suit
Concept art = better than the actual thing
Yep
Defying Gamer some are better, some are horrible. Depends on the concept art and subject matter.
Please, does anyone know where I can find the spiderman trailer that seven was talking about in this video.
The original SPIDERMAN trilogy probably would've been better with the web shooters
MEGA OZ in what way would that improve the movies?
where can you find the spiderman 1 footage
Where is Sevenwebheads from, because he's in Europe but his accents strong
its a shame with all the problems at sony. I wanted this spiderman to be in the avengers but now he has to be rebooted for it to happen???
Why could he not have keep the webshooters i Sam raimis trilogy?:-(
It was considered unrealistic to have a highschool student, making something that scientists or engineers can't build.
Collwil Richard but realistic to get bitten by a spider and get powers
Well then there wouldn't been spider-man, *Moonie iLLtrytobecoolwhenimactuallyabigloser939* .
Webb's franchise is awesome but I like the raimi films better
WEBBS franchise sucks
thats because he barely knew spider-man
and that sony took over the whole thing and fucked it up.
Doctor strange in the multiverse of madness
Any news from Sam Raimi? Plz?
Im gonna have to be honest, no one actually cares about tasm as much as raimi's spiderman, they never have that much hype to it
Unless he's wearing a grey vest and grey pants (that aren't like underwear) I didn't really like green goblins look so the Rami suit looked fine to me
they should kept the web shooters
Where can i find the clip you showed by last?
Can someone hook us up with that 2002 spider man early footage??
It does looks great better but it still is an armor which for me is still is the down side of all this Green Goblin look "i speak for myself".
If only
So rumor has it Marvel waas either Joseph Gordon Levitt or Johnny Deep to play Doctor Strange, you who would make an AMAZING Doctor Strange, Robert Downey Juni- Aw Crap.
WHERE ARE YOU
So glad they didn't use any of this. These concepts are pretty bad. What we got was *GREAT* for both Spiderman, and Green Goblin.
Alex Ross Spider-man is so cool,
and it even was inspiration for superior spider-man.
Hey seven the amazing spider man 3 casting call is fake !!!!
Spider man 3 had too much hype and disappointed way more than TASM 1 or 2
link do trailer no 3:42
Shut you're firsts XD Im 12!
The thumbnail made me cringe
First ✌️
Batman's gonna kick your ass
Anon Guy I`ll beat his.
