My dad's people were from Idabel Oklahoma. He would often tell me that we were descendants of either the chalk taw or the Chickasaw Indian tribes. (forgive spelling) We used to have the old pictures of my great grandfather's parents who were Indian of some percentage. In the old bubble glass oval shaped Pewter-like frames. I would imagine that that is how my father's people arrived in Oklahoma.
