Describe what it feels like to you to be standing in the circle. - Raelene You’d think standing in that circle would feel Iike all the Opry members from all of history are piled on your shoulders... but but it doesn’t. It is an eerie feeling but in a really good way. Maybe eerie isn’t the right word...reverent might be better. It feels like all the Opry members of all the years gone by are standing behind you encouraging you and saying “ we’re glad you’re here with us.”

I've been away from country music for years. I'm another '90s country fan, so Ashley is fairly new to me as I bring myself back to "modern" country. This woman makes me cry... with happiness, with sadness, with love, with pain. WOW. What a voice! What a song!! I'll be listening to more of her, that's for sure!
I know there’s a special dressing room artists get to use only once, on their Opry debut. What can you remember about that room? - Lesley I’ll never forget that room. Room 4. You only get to be in that room on your debut night. The only other time I’ve even poked my head in was to congratulate another artist on their debut. And I didn’t step all the way in. I just poked my head in to keep that tradition alive and pure.
I never make it through this song without crying. the emotion and the victory. I saw Ashley numerous times before "she went somewhere" she's talented and hilarious.

What advice would you give to a girl who’s dream is to make it to that stage? - Kelli First of all, if I can stand on that stage... you can stand on that stage. That’s part of the beauty of country music. You can be from anywhere and be of any status. The only thing you have to do is put in all the work. And if you love performing and writing and singing that isn’t too much to ask for. Hell, it’s hard to shut us up , those of us that have the bug. Just know this, The Opry wants you there. Country Music wants you there. Anyone whose dream is to help carry on the tradition of country music is welcome. The work isn’t easy and it can be really frustrating but it’s worth it to hear “We’re happy you’re here with us tonight“ on your debut.
It helps that you have a good voice, and your song-writing skills are excellent, Ashley. However, this song is an extra special example of your talents. It is so powerful, and tells your story well, kind of like Janice Ian’s At Seventeen, which touched me back in the ‘70s and I still love going back to that song when I need to feel, and enjoy a melody. I’ve watched you play this song at least 50 times, mostly from this Opry performance. I suspect I’ll keep coming back to this video for many more decades, Lord willing.

Nervous, excited and everything between, the most overwhelming feeling was that it felt like coming home after being homesick for a long long time. That choked-up, finally here feeling.

Do you think you will ever have the same feeling as you had when you first performed in the circle at the Opry? - Tracey What I’ve found each time I play the Opry is that that feeling never gets old or goes away. The first-time jitters may be a little less intense but the jitters are still there. The line up is so different each time that there’s always someone you’re over the moon to watch up close. There’s always someone you’re nervous to know is watching you and that reverent feeling of being part of country music history is always sitting in your throat. You know that that audience has travelled from all over to experience the Opry. Some for the first time! I reckon it’s always somebody’s first time... maybe that’s why that feeling stays in the building.

I’m a HUGE fan of ppl who can stand up in front of a crowd, behind a guitar, and pour their hearts out. Ashley McBryde is my new most favorite artist of any genre by far!!! My question is why don’t I hear her songs played more often on the radio? I’m a strictly country music listener while using radio in my car. I got to experience it in HS Basketball. We played in front of 500- 1,000 - 2,000 fans a game. Some of our crowds were bigger and louder than others. When it was loud and a lot of people were cheering LOUDLY it was cool. Got you jacked up playing in front of a big crowd cheering hard when you make a basket or a dunk. So cool to thrill the crowd as a former athlete.

This brings a tear to my eye. It makes me think about my Nashville and "King of Country" plans. I walked the Camino before I were going to Nashville. Now I have a spanish wife and we have a 3 year old spanish/danish daughter. I stayed here in sunny Spain. Who knows, maybe one day we will move to Nashville. My 3 year old daughter is crazy about music too and has a strong voice. I think she will be able to sing both Country and Rock. And she is the most pretty girl you can imagine.

Additionally, a principal disregarded a teacher's claim that I learned differently. Furthermore, a boss criticized my writing abilities and suggested that I would never progress. Online users frequently ridiculed me for my writing, particularly my spelling. When I was in college, a professor recommended that I undergo testing because my oral and written language skills did not match. An expert later diagnosed me with dyslexia and reassured me that I wasn't unintelligent. Despite these challenges, I obtained a Master's degree and became a librarian. I strive to assist every marginalized student who visits the library at the vocational school where I am employed. Providing individuals with the necessary tools can yield remarkable results.

She is an AMAZING talent. Luke Bryan says shes the BEST female country voice he's heard on idol in his 5 years on the show. After hearing Ashley's original version here for the first time I wept. I raised my daughter in mammoth spring. The teachers around here are small minded but the culture here is why I love it!! I'm 70 years old, and I can not count the time's over those years that I was told I couldn't, I shouldn't, or "you never will". Having looked back on some of those times through the years, two things became clear. One, they were typically said to me by someone I considered close, and two, again typically, by someone who didn't have the balls to try themselves. I finally got to meet her on March 7th in Indy..literally a week before the pandemic hit..at 2am after the show..my gf and I had been waiting about 2 hours..she finally came off her bus to meet the 20 or so people who had gathered..she could not have been more down to earth and nicer to us and everyone else..I told her I absolutely loved her music and if I could give her a big hug..got my pic taken with her as well..by far my greatest highlight from 2020.Hope you get your chance to meet her someday..she is an angel on earth!

What I’ve found each time I play the Opry is that that feeling never gets old or goes away. The first-time jitters may be a little less intense but the jitters are still there. The line up is so different each time that there’s always someone you’re over the moon to watch up close. There’s always someone you’re nervous to know is watching you and that reverent feeling of being part of country music history is always sitting in your throat. You know that that audience has travelled from all over to experience the Opry. Some for the first time! I reckon it’s always somebody’s first time... maybe that’s why that feeling stays in the building.

I’m a HUGE fan of ppl who can stand up in front of a crowd, behind a guitar, and pour their hearts out. Ashley McBryde is my new most favorite artist of any genre by far!!!
My question is why don’t I hear her songs played more often on the radio? I’m a strictly country music listener while using radio in my car. I’ve just recently discovered this completely authentic country music badass! I wish I would’ve heard her sooner! I mostly hear male artists playing. I got to experience it in HS Basketball. We played in front of 500- 1,000 - 2,000 fans a game. Some of our crowds were bigger and louder than others. When it was loud and a lot of people were cheering LOUDLY it was cool. Got you jacked up playing in front of a big crowd cheering hard when you make a basket or a dunk. So cool to thrill the crowd as a former athlete.
This song just hit in the heart of me like hearing ur story behind it and never let a teacher to judge a student's dream to be someone as famous anywhere. This brings a tear to my eye. It makes me think about my Nashville and "King of Country" plans. I walked the Camino before I were going to Nashville. Now I have a spanish wife and we have a 3 year old spanish/danish daughter. I stayed here in sunny Spain. Who knows, maybe one day we will move to Nashville. My 3 year old daughter is crazy about music too and has a strong voice. I think she will be able to sing both Country and Rock. And she is the most pretty girl you can imagine.

Additionally, a principal disregarded a teacher's claim that I learned differently. Furthermore, a boss criticized my writing abilities and suggested that I would never progress. Online users frequently ridiculed me for my writing, particularly my spelling. When I was in college, a professor recommended that I undergo testing because my oral and written language skills did not match. An expert later diagnosed me with dyslexia and reassured me that I wasn't unintelligent. Despite these challenges, I obtained a Master's degree and became a librarian. I strive to assist every marginalized student who visits the library at the vocational school where I am employed. Providing individuals with the necessary tools can yield remarkable results.

I am not a big country fan, but i'm getting more and more open to it. I uncovered this song when Huntergirl sang a shorter version of it on idol this season and I thought she did the sing proud. Take a listen, it's on you tube with thousands of views. I have fallen for Huntergirls music, ESPECIALLY her new single Redbird that she wrote and went #1 on a couple charts. She is an AMAZING talent. Luke Bryan says shes the BEST female country voice he's heard on idol in his 5 years on the show. After hearing Ashley's original version here for the first time I wept. IMPOSSIBLE not to if you have half a heart. SO BEAUTIFUL. NOW I have two most favorite country female singers, Ashley and Hunter. I hope and pray Huntergirl gets her shining moment someday in the Grand ole Opry circle like Ashley did here. I GUARANTEE, I will weep again 😢😏😉 TY

I raised my daughter in mammoth spring. The teachers around here are small minded but the culture here is why I love it!! I'm 70 years old, and I can not count the time's over those years that I was told I couldn't, I shouldn't, or "you never will". Having looked back on some of those times through the years, two things became clear. One, they were typically said to me by someone I considered close, and two, again typically, by someone who didn't have the balls to try themselves. Ashley McBryde is going to be around for a long time.

I finally got to meet her on March 7th in Indy..literally a week before the pandemic hit..at 2am after the show..my gf and I had been waiting about 2 hours..she finally came off her bus to meet the 20 or so people who had gathered..she could not have been more down to earth and nicer to us and everyone else..I told her I absolutely loved her music and if I could give her a big hug..got my pic taken with her as well..by far my greatest highlight from 2020.Hope you get your chance to meet her someday..she is an angel on earth!
