Arcade & Attica 18 Returns To The Rails!

- Hello and welcome back to another video. The date is September 28th, 2024 and we are in the town of Arcade, New York to witness and document history along the rails.
The Arcade & Attica railroad recently placed their 104 year old steam locomotive #18 back into service after an extensive rebuild. The #18 is a 1920 2-8-0 locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company (Alco). After a seven year hiatus, we would be able to document 18's inaugural revenue excursion since it's rebuild. The Arcade & Attica is currently the only railroad in New York State with regularly scheduled steam excursions.
Throughout the video we document 18's ceremony, experience the sights and sounds of the locomotive from the open-air car, and chase the train from Arcade to Curriers with railfans from near and far.
