My brother bought this after buying the omp m2. I got to fly it and it is a great heli. I found the servos were slow and not very responsive. A week or two later, my brother calls to tell me a servo died. He didn't break anything, but he was just hovering, and the pitch servo stuck and wouldn't allow him to return without killing it. Could be a bad servo. I'll let him fix and see how long it lasts, lol. But it's way better than blade!!
Sorry to hear his issues. So there was some issues with the Servos on a later batch. The issues have been resolved with the Servos so hopefully his new ones are better. But it is such a great little helicopter.
I've got one and I love it! My only complaints are 1) Flight times are really short so it's a lot of battery swapping, but they make that easy because you don't have to remove the canopy and 2) The tail blows completely out when I am doing inverted loops in FM1 and sometimes in FM2. This causes a brief loss of control. This could be a setup issue. I am not sure yet. A huge positive to this thing is its durability. I've had at least 5 pretty hard crashes and the only thing that happened was the tail boom has bent on two occasions. But I just bent it back in my bench vice with a rag wrapped around the tail to prevent scratches. I also LOVE how I can fly this in my front yard EVERY DAY to help me get the pilot skills like Jeff has, hopefully one day :--)

I am considering the Goosky S1, OMP M1, and maybe YXZNRC F120 as a next step. However, how well do all these take a crash? I just want to fly, not endlessly repair it. Thoughts?

My heli has been great but now when i throttle up it takes of vertically with just a little throttle and if i decend it comes crashing down in normal mode in idle up 1and 2 it flys stable but barely flys inverted. Any suggestions? Thanks
I have all three, the S1, S2 and the S4. They all fly great, are incredibly stable and can do 3D as well. The S2 is bigger and a tad easier to fly. I think the S1 could even be used to learn to fly except it's very small and harder to see from an orientation standpoint. For the price, you can't really go wrong, extra batteries are also very affordable, get more because you only get 3 minutes of flight on the 300 mAH packs. If you find you can fly this little guy around, you could transition to the RS 4 easily.
@@heeder777 I am jumping into the hobby. I really appreciate the building aspect. I also prefer the rotary wing over the fixed wing RC. I am currently setting up a Nano S3 to mess around with. I own the Goosky S2 and a Trex 470 from Align. Quick question, is throttle cut mandatory on the Nano? How do I set that?
@@bnty22 Even on the micros I use throttle hold/cut. Just assign a switch and set your desired direction for hold, set the throttle to zero for the hold position. It is a safety thing, but the micros will cut you up..had one hit me in the shins when I bumped the collective on a Align 150X. Three cuts in less than a second. Took weeks to heal. You can't auto a micro, no inertia to keep the blades running, you're using hold keep the motor off until you're ready to fly. The 470 is also a good one from align.
@@heeder777 in the manual it appears throttle hold and cut are two differing controls for heli control. I remember reading somewhere that helis use throttle hold but throttle cut I am no too familiar with
@@bnty22 I'm guessing you're running Futaba. Throttle cut is used for nitro helicopters to shut down the engine. Throttle hold, depending on where it's set to "holds" the throttle at a certain percentage and or shuts the motor down but tells the ESC "I want to respool up fast next time unless I'm past so many seconds, then spool up normally". When set for auto rotations on electrics the esc will spin up the motor rapidly from the off position and on nitro it will set a high idle. For the little helicopters it's mainly used to provide a path to keep the motor from spinning up inadvertently. Don't feel bad, it takes a lot of reading of the transmitter, motor and ESC manuals to fully understand a lot about helicopter functions and what they each do. Jeff's videos have given me lots of good ideas and information.

S1 all day, tail performance alone is night and day. I’m putting my M1 back together and I’m doing a comparison video on them.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 OH man that will be big thing ! I looks forward.
Been flying the XK K110S for 12 months. Well fly, crash, fly crash, repeat. It takes a beating quite well and I have only had to do minor repairs. I am considering the Goosky S1, OMP M1, and maybe YXZNRC F120 as a next step. However, how well do all these take a crash? I just want to fly, not endlessly repair it. Thoughts?
i m in the same position like you now,i had great times with xk k110 and i was looking for something "bigger" and more stable with winds in the small field that i use to fly,did you finally bought it?if yes,i d like yr opinion..
@@nektariosntikmpasanis1657 No I haven't. I read a few places that the S1 and M1 don't take crashes as well as the K110.
Is it as good as the m1?
It’s better! The tail performance alone is night and day!
Im having a hard time finding info or help since goosky has no tech support . My heli has been great but now when i throttle up it takes of vertically with just a little throttle and if i decend it comes crashing down in normal mode in idle up 1and 2 it flys stable but barely flys inverted. Any suggestions? Thanks
Quick question,How does it compare to the S2 Model?
Whats is better omp m1 o goosky s1 ??
Goosky S1 all day. Mainly just for the tail performance! Never seen a micro that has a tail performance like this!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I'm a beginner I'm going to order an xk 110s but I thought the goosky could be better but the advantage of the xk 110s is unmassable
Better than the M1 Evo? You know it's showdown time.
Yes sir! Way better. Tail performance alone is night and day!
HEY EVERYONE! I recommend getting the Microheli anti-rotation guide for this little monster. The stock one is plastic and the pins to attach the canopy is part of it which is definitely the weakest part of this roided out heli.
I have the omp m2 and m1 helicopter and the goosky2 I'm going to get the goosky s1 but i think omp fly better than goosky
Hmm! That’s interesting! I think the other way around. Goosky flys better and the S1 performance is far better than the M1. But get one and try it!
Its not a rc helicopter, but "helidrone with minimum settings available.. wast of money...I guess😅😅😅😅
Heli drone? How so? No GPS, No return home, no Auto flight…. What is a helicopter?
