Don't assume anything after one episode. I hope they will have the series be sort of a Loki & Mobias travel through time and universes, to try to make things right. We may see a lot of characters acting in ways we never expected of them, in other universes. This story has unlimited possibilities.
It does. However, with Feige in charge, I don't believe that any of the possibilities I want to see transpire, like the recent Marvel Television shows being brought into the fold, will happen. And that sucks.
If this follows the comics the TVA is a creation of the Time Keepers to protect the sacred time line. The Time Keepers were created by He Who Remains at the end of time just before the heat death of the Universe. They protect the time line in every universe born after the death of the universe. The Time Keepers are rarely seen in the comics. The TVA has always been a bit of cheeky fun by Marvel Editors and writers to clean up stories. Mobius is drawn to look like the editor at Marvel comics who was responsible for story continuity between different Marvel properties. This MCU TVA may be like that used as a story tool to spring of more stories while trying to protect MCU continuity. I suspect that if TVA will be a bit of an antagonist but not the main one. Kang the Conquer is tied to the TVA in the comics and Loki is the chaos needed to launch into the new MCU phase and we know the multiverse will be a problem so the TVA will be tied up in everything.
The 5 year blip was a demand of Tony Stark so that he could ensure the existence of his daughter. The multiple infinity stones are variants just like Loki is now a variant. I am thinking that, since Loki has a problem with not really controlling his destiny, the rogue variant that is killing TVA minutemen and stealing the reset devices, is full-bore ticked off about this. What might be cool is if this rogue variant actually serves as a catalyst (as Mobius describes Loki's role) to get our Loki to become his better self, though that doesn't necessarily mean he will agree with the sacred timeline as the only option.
Did you notice that Peggy Carter was being hustled through a time door? And Agent Colson appears to be dead. Looks like the TVA is erasing a lot of the stuff we thought was canon. I think Infinity Stones only work in the universe they came from originally and not in the TVA at all.
Really good first episode, will be interested to see where this goes with only 6. My gut says the figure in the hood isn't actually Loki - certainly not the same person anyway, maybe someone else using the name as a sort of title, in which case there could be not just one but a group of them.
Tbh my first thought was Mephisto, although maybe I'm taking the stained class Devil and "the Devil comes bearing gifts" a bit too literally. I'm really curious to see who the mysterious Varient is. Also I thought I'd point out a really cool detail: In the end credits a shot of Loki's file came up. Under "Sex" was written "Fluid", I thought that was a cool touch to link it back to Loki's gender fluidity from the comics
Loki in MCU's version of "Quantum Leap" lol I think the evil Loki is Lady Loki who has rebelled against the idea of a predetermined future and is collecting those Reset Bombs to eventually destroy the Sacred Timeline and the Time Keepers...yes? But the last episode will be a botched attempt that instead creates a multitude of Nexuses...which caused Wanda to hear her children's cry for help from another timeline, since she is a Nexus, which will lead to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness... My theory version 1.0 lol
I liked the episode but there are still some logistics that I don’t understand yet but I guess we’ll see if they get answered/resolved later in the show
Asking why did something happen, like the Snap, if things were just going to go back is not thinking like a Time Keeper. (I know, I'm being presumptuous 😁) But, if the Time Keepers protect "The Sacred Timeline," and they let things happen because they were "supposed to" happen, that means they can see all of time & know what one way things need to go in order for there not to be a "Multiverse of Madness" if you will. Dr. Strange said there was only one way they win & that was by losing first. We can assume now the TVA pruned the timelines that Thanos, Gamora, & the other Nebula left when they came to this main timeline and also the one Steve lived his life out w/Peggy, after he came back to the main timeline. Also, things didn't just go back after the Snaps. A LOT of stuff changed, including everyone's perspective how families, friends, governments operate & those changes dictate which direction the timeline goes. This is all trusting explanation Miss Minutes gave of how the universe & time works and that it's not what you suggested might be in that it's not "true" or is a deception. The TVA does seem to mean well or at least they truly believe they are keeping the universe from collapsing. The Time Keepers, since we haven't seen them actually, are an enigma. They might be just as the TVA described or might've just told that tale to the TVA when they created them. We'll see.
I don't think the Time Keepers know what the proper timeline is. They decide what the proper timeline is. It's correct because it's what they want and they say it's correct, not because of any special knowledge. It's like the variation of the Golden Rule - He who has the gold makes the rules. They who control the timeline decide what is the correct timeline.
I'm betting that the timekeepers consider the sacred timeline sacred because it's the one that benefits them the most and they are the big Baddies, and Loki will slowly realize that overtime , because I believe the basic gist of the series is The Wizard of Oz! Who is behind the curtain? He speculated and then admitted about himself that the illusion of all powerfulness was design because of true weakness to give the impression that one is too powerful to fight against so that they may gain compliance and ultimate control.I think that's what the timekeepers actually are doing and because in Norse mythology, and in the comics Loki has been both a male and a female and we know there's a woman playing Lady Loki in the series, and it says on his rap sheet that he's gender-fluid.I believe not only will he come in contact with a female version of first as an adversary and then as an ally, also there might be some kind of romantic connection after all we know Loki is in love with himself, already! But short of that I think they will team up in the long run to fight against the Puppet Masters aka the timekeepers and the entire organization that they run.Of course always unseen once again behind the curtains! They're the ones that won the time Wars, and I would suspect things are supposed to have an infinite number of possible outcomes and no one should be considered the best and one and only, over the other.Clearly for some individuals one will be better than another, but for other individuals the reverse is true so every possibility should be allowed to occur and that's the rationale they'll use to not so much destroy the sacred timeline, but to make sure it's not the one and only!
I have a question. Loki went to Mongolia and was there for around 2 minutes. Then the timeline was reset. So wouldn't resetting it also affect the avengers from the future still in new york in the car talking about having lost the tesseract? Or would they be okay as them being there was supposed to happen? If it is resetting to the original timeline then the future avengers would surely be erased. On another note, the TVA resetting timelines could explain how Cap going back with the mind stone without the scepter, the power stone without the ball etc to put them back in their respective timelines can actually make sense. He goes back, puts the stones back, leaves. Then the TVA comes to reset the timeline so that the stones actually have their respective containers.
It wouldn't affect the future Avengers because remember they explained in Endgame that them going to the past won't change their present because it wouldn't be THEIR past, but their future. So, you could think of it as them creating a new timeline only when things went off the rails & Loki escaped with the Tesseract. If he hadn't & things went off without a hitch, the events they did would've always had happened. They would've just been in an unseen background. I said in another comment also that now we can assume the TVA pruned the timelines Steve created when he lived his life out with Peggy (after he came back) and the one Thanos, Gamora and Nebula came from when they came to this one.
@@ldkinbote but the timeline Loki escaped from is the one with Steve, Tony, Scott and Bruce in it. After Loki escaped, cap then fought future cap for a while afterwards. The timeline would've been reset way before this. But as I said they probably kept the avengers there and then let them leave. Although that means it is another timeline to the main one so if there is only meant to be one timeline they would have to reset it again when the avengers left. I assume they were already going to/have reset it after the avengers left.
@@OverWims Correct. Once Loki escaped, that whole timeline, Avengers and all, would have to be reset. The Avengers then had to go back even further, which would be a different timeline and since that worked, that would be part of the history of the Sacred Timeline.
Kind of disappointed that we won't get to see how Loki's absence affects the splinter timeline.
