Fundamental Law of Infinty Stones: They only work in the infinity they were created in.
unconfirmed in the mcu. the show is clear that no magic works in the tva, and that includes infinity stones.
The TVA, the Time Bureau from DC, the Time Lords from Doctor Who, the Temporal Agency from Star Trek... just about every franchise that dabbles in time travel stories ends up making time cops. lol
time travel is one of the easiest and most easily grasped ways that a person might accidentally cause everything to cease to exist. audiences are reassured by the presence of some authority that's limiting the potential ramifications.
The TVA must exist out of normal time that why the infinity stone's don't work and there's so many of them taken from different time lines.Tom Hiddleston was born to play Loki he's so good at it,great reaction.

Infinity Stones only work in the universe that they were created in. That tesseract could be brought back into main timeline and used. The others probably came from timelines that were purged so they’re just paperweights lol
Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston were fantastic together in the really charming and funny movie, Midnight in Paris. Nice to see them reunited here.

The devil is Loki - or variant, or whatever. The show producers/directors went out of their way to point that out, after the rampant "it's Mephisto!" stuff with WandaVision. They wanted to be clear that this wasn't some hidden clue.
With his helmet on, Loki kind of looks like a devil.
In one universe, Loki kills Satan and takes over the Christian hell - he even has a son who runs around calling himself 'The Son of Satan'.

@@tuxedotservo There was also the 'Do that many people not know if they're a robot' line, I think that's in reference to Ragnarok, a robot built by Hank Pym in the likeness of Thor that actually thought it was Thor.

it's the butterfly effect -- being late when you're not supposed to be (or conversely, being on time when you're not supposed to be) might have tremendous second and third order consequences (such as being caught in, or avoiding, a fatal disaster, or causing someone else to).
One episode in to Loki and I AM HOOKED.
I love the show. 2 things.
1. The paper stack that Loki was told to sign should be a lot taller like up to the ceiling however I think that they are bending the fourth wall a bit by only using his lines from his time on screen. This takes place after the first Avengers movie. Loki had only been in the first Thor movie and the Avengers before this, thats why the stack of papers was that size. I think it would have been 1 word or sentence per page.
2. Someone on another channel pointed out that right next to the Infinity Stones was a Ton'y's little Stark Reactor that he would put in his chest. I'm thinking about re-watching it to see if it is the small Stark Reactor.
I think the writers in Marvel read a lot of classic Sci-Fi novels. Wandavision reminded me of Phillip K. Dick's Ubik, where people with superpowers were caught in an alternate reality and informed of it by some pesky TV ads ("Buy your concentrated Ubiks!"). And now Loki is reminding me of The End of Eternity, an Isaac Asimov novel about an agency of Time which tried to achieve the "perfect" timeline for humanity. I loved those novels as a kid, the themes where always so original and imaginative. I hope we see more stuff of that kind in these Marvel series. Great reaction as always Kazzy, thank you.

Poul Anderson's Time Patrol also comes to mind, the whole "sacred timeline" sounds more like self preservation by being "The only game in town".
I'm guessing you haven't seen Thor: The Dark World. Frigga's death is from there and Loki did send the invaders to her thinking he was tricking them into running face first into Thor. Dark World is panned by those who like to make lists as being the weakest MCU movie (maybe Captain Marvel managed to take the title from it?) but it's still a decent film.
Honestly, I didn't like it very much the first time I saw The dark World, but after the third time or so, I really started liking it. Everyone I know have said the same exact thing. I would advise people to rewatch it if they currently dislike it
i watched it because Thor is one of my Favorite characters/avengers but well it was less good than Thor 1 and 3
I do believe it's the weakest, tied with Captain Marvel, in the MCU. But that's just comparing it solely to the MCU. Looking at it with more movies for comparison it's still pretty good

I'm liking this as a two-hander between Hiddleston's Loki and Wilson's Mobius.
A Mobius strip is an impossible shape that loops back on itself.
The biggest reveal in this episode is that the magistrate played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw is Ravonna!
Ravonna is Kang's woman.
Kang is the Avengers' time-traveling foe aka Nathaniel Richards, a 40th-century descendant of Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four!
He is known by many names over the eons and not all are villains: Rama-Tut, Scarlet Centurion, Immortus and Iron Lad.
Jonathan Majors has already been cast as Kang.
I wonder what happens during resets and redlines?
I'm hoping we get to see the Lady Loki and Kid Loki variants!

IDIC: Infinite Diversity in infinite Combinations; a multiversal state is the natural order of things! The TVA is an artificially imposed autocracy with its own creation myth propaganda. By series end, 2012 Loki or his variant is going to shatter the cosmic underpinnings of the MCU which will lead to Strange's Multiverse of Madness and Spidey's No Way Home!

This is my most anticipating show, i love *Loki* and i wanna see how it turn out. The details in this ep1 is fantastic by telling us that something we don’t know much about Loki. The person in the hoodie is *Lady Loki* , she’s created by another timeline that’s why *Mobius* said *the variant we looking for* is *Loki* himself

It's weird how most people keep hating on Thor 2 but after Endgame and now the new Loki show its becoming more and more important as a plot device

My favorite ep1 of MCU shows
This is the best of the Marvel shows so far...with the exception of Jessica Jones.
No one will watch Owen Wilson as a serial killer in the minus man, but that was a great performance, and it really gives depth to his character here.
I like this show so far but not more than WandaVision or The Falcon and the Winter Soldier tho I love your reaction to it Kazzy.🙂👍

This is the series i had been waiting for since wandavision and the first episode did not disappoint
i agree with Loki, that 3 space lizards shouldn't decide the fate of all of existence across the multiverse, and there is no more multiverse because of them. i think they are inside the city in the Quantum Realm that we saw in Ant Man 2. that might be where Janet was living. and they are outside of time, that would explain why Scott didn't age when he was there. and that would explain why the infinity stones don't work there, but Loki should have grabbed a bunch for when he finds his way back.

no, the tva is clear that a "variant" is only one who strays from the "sacred timeline", tva's pronouncement of everything that is and isn't supposed to happen. if the tva decides that 2014 gamora is supposed to jump forward in time and captain america is supposed to go back and live out his life in the past, then they're not variants.
Both 2014 Gamers and Old Cap fill that role to a tee.
2014 Gamora will never joins the Guardians, Groot and Rocket sell Quill to Yondu unopposed, Ronan probably gets the Power Stone and destroys Xandar. Ego destroys the universe with his Expansion while the monster kills the Sovereign people. The Guardians never rescue Thor when Thanos blows up their ship and the remaining Asguardians don't find a new homeland
As for Cap, he's got nearly 80 years to try to stay out of history. He can't do anything about the McCarthy hearings, the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam, Watergate, JFK assassination, the near Regan assassination, 9/11, Peggy Carter's Alzheimer's and more
Besides ALL this, Peggy Carter has already been taken by the TVA.

Loki is a good show so far. The TVA is going to be a hard concept to grasp. The mythology from the comics is the exist outside of the universe at the end of time. No time-line matter except the sacred time-line. In the comics the TVA is meta for Marvel editors and writers. Mobius in the comics is even drawn after the editor that worked with Stan Lee and Kirby that was responsible for Marvel comics continuity. It looks like that will be the same with the MCU. Something is afoot at the TVA and we may see a number of surprises and links into the next phase. Kang the Conquer has a link to the first episode of Loki and we know he is the main bad guy in the next Ant Man so who knows what is going on at the TVA.
Even though all the Marvel Disney+ shows are from the same studio, all of the writing is different. Sure each will have Comic Book Superhero Action at some point like the movies, but each has it's own tone and feel. WandaVision was a huge departure, almost Twilight Zone. Falcon and the Winter Soldier had the feel of Captain America: Winter Soldier and Civil War, so was very familiar territory. But they also included very real racial discrimination. Now Loki is at another Celestial level, Time Cop meets Quantum Leap/Doctor Who meets Twin Peaks lol So they're all VERY DIFFERENT, and love each one! Remember, they say Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will feel like a "Horror Movie"....

BTW I watched a video that talked about one of the biggest misteries on the aviation history and guess what !??? That scene of Loki with the bomb on the plane actually happend in real life, and the guy was never found alive or dead 😐 that guy jump from the plane (with a parachute ) but no one ever see him again. Weird, right?

Technically, Infinity Gems only have power within their own universe - and the TVA is *outside* of all universes, so they basically do zip. And that's kinda the thing that "broke" Loki there: *The* most powerful artifacts in the Universe, and the TVA not only had several *sets* of them, but compared to them, they were literally nothing more than paperweights.
The TVA is not god, not even by Marvel canon (and trust me, there are a *lot* of "gods" and god-like beings in Marvel canon). More like if Doctor Who's Timelords took a *far* more activist role in preserving the timeline, rather than just protecting a handful of "fixed events" and not really caring that there were other timelines. But by virtue of controlling time, it is probably the most powerful *organization* in Marvel.

WandaVision was brilliant. Falcon and Winter Soldier was good but you could feel how the pandemic gutted the story. Loki has the best/most intriguing start of any of them.

The TVA exists in a place called the Void. It’s adjacent to the sacred timeline. Infinity Stones only work in the universe they’re created in. They’d be useless in the Void. As for his magic, the TVA uses a dampener for magic users.
I can’t wait to see your thoughts on episode 3 because the fan base is split on that one.

@@engineer4854 they serve a greater purpose and there’s a hierarchy in Marvel when it comes to cosmic beings and organizations. The TVA maintain the flow of time and watch over it and they only intervene when necessary.
That’s like classifying the Celestials evil for deeming their experiments unworthy and cleansing planets to start over (like you saw in GOTG with Eson the Searcher using the Power Stone) or that Galactus eats a planet with an entire civilization on it. They’re not evil. They are just part of the greater Marvel universe all serving a purpose. The Celestials are what helped created life across the universe and Galactus eats planets to maintain his life with the Silver Surfer scouting and finding planets for him to eat. That doesn’t make them evil. They each have a role to play.
Like when The Living Tribunal (the literal judge of the multiverse and second to TOAA (The One Above All aka Marvel’s God) declared that Thanos didn’t break any cosmic laws when he snapped half of all life during the Infinity Gauntlet storyline, that doesn’t mean cosmic entities like Eternity, Infinity, The Living Tribunal etc are evil. They are above everyone and serve a greater purpose

This Loki is Alt-Universe Loki. I suspect by the end of this series he may replace our Loki who was killed by Thanos
But wasn't the clip that loki saw was of his own timeline, then wouldn't it have shown him being alive and not dying. Unless the tva showed him an alt-universe own timeline to make loki join the tva.
@@aasnnithiamhuanok4389 they are trying to reset him back to Avengers tower so he can be sent to Asgard so the events of Thor 2 can play out. But Mobius needs him to help track down "Loki" first.

@@KoolMB reset means killed in TVA talk. His alternate universe was already killed without trial when they captured him. The sacred Timeline already has its Loki. They weren't sending him anywhere but to death. TVA are the biggest mass murderers in the MCU. Make Thanos look like a puppy.

Based on the pilot episodes, I would say Loki is by far off to the strongest start. Loki has implicated more in the first episode than the entirety of WandaVision and TFATWS. Not that those shows are by any means bad shows, but you can tell that the director and/or showrunner were able to tell the story they wanted to tell with Loki. The ending of WandaVision was a little underwhelming, but so far, it’s a close second for me. TFATWS is third solely because of time constraints and according to statements by Marcus Spellman, there was actually supposed to be a storyline that involved a sort of virus-based subplot, but this was removed due to the pandemic. But overall, I think Loki is off to the best start, and I’m ready for the next episode!

Thor and Loki are more like demi-gods. They are very long-lived, but not immortal. They are very powerful, but they are not omnipotent.

I’m always late to the party, but MCU is next level compared to DC apart from B v S, JL (Zacks), WW and Shazam… DC animated kicks ass though!!!
Although Mobius said they're after Loki, I still don't believe (or to be honest, hope) that's Loki at the end of this episode, but another super villain (one of my favorites), to set up a multiverse for the future of Marvel movies (which Marvel Studio has announced).

What's disappointing is that all the Infinity Stones they have from other timelines can't be used anymore once the TVA resets the timelines they're from, so they're useless.
