Great tips...What I have started doing for namkeens is that I have got one huge round stainless steel dabba from bartan store..I also have purchased stainless steel straight glasses that fit into this dabba. This dabba can have 7 glasses in it..So this way a very large masaladani or masala dabba kind of thing is made..Now I open packets of different namkeens and empty each packet in one glass..I usually have 7 types of namkeens like Bikaneri bhujia,Plain sev,Besan mungfali,small papdi, mixture,roasted and salted peanuts and some kind of sweet sour namkeen like khatta meetha or marathi chivda etc...This way there are no loose packets now,once anyone opens this dabba,all namkeens are clearly visible and itis easy for me to see which one is getting over so I can refill also or get a different packet also...Plus we can make bhelpuri or chaat in a jiffy..

Hello Ila, I'm your long time subscriber and really like your detailed explanation in the videos. You have always provided quality content. But there are some points, I would like to mention here and pls don't take them negatively. As a subscriber, I am sharing my point of view. So first of all, snipping plastic packets, means small pieces in landfill. The scope for them to be recycled reduces. I remember you mentioning in one of your videos to not snip off milk packet tips, till date I appreciate that effort and ardently follow it. Secondly, in the name of organising we should be mindful how much more plastics containers/boxes we are buying. Infact, reduce our efforts to use disposable cutlery. Indeed if we already have we should use them.

Thank you Shilpa ji. You’re absolutely correct. I too don’t believe in disposable cutlery but in the video I am talking about the spoons and forks that we receive with food orders. Most of the people throw them away. I am only showing how we can use them and not throw them. 😊

Thank you. If you’re storing food items directly, glass is better. If you’re storing packets like Maggi, or for pantry.. you may go for plastic containers 😊
