Great video. We bought our Sky Track last year and will be upgrading the subscription to include the E6 Connect, especially now that it has Bandon Dunes (we just moved to ID from OR and miss getting the resident rates there 🙂). Looks like the only real downside is you're not penalized for a miss, e.g. bad lies like below your feet out of the rough or from the sand. The rest of it looks awesome and a great way to keep the swing dialed during the snowy Idaho winters.
Looks like the putting and chipping is actually pretty decent. Some people have complained about both (especially putting) on the SkyTrak. I ordered mine Dec 7th, still don't even have an estimate on when I should expect it, but I can't wait! These videos help the time pass. Thanks Jay!
I have a skytrak. For best results. Wedges and flop shots, put ball one inch in front of dot, logo to tracker. For driver, put tee one inch behind the dot. Never get misreads. It's annoying to keep moving it around if you have a fixed rubber tee, but that's what you have to do.
Really enjoy your videos! I played Jeremy Ranch last night and scored really well off the white tees. I think I swing about the same speed as you and I found the ball was travelling quite far - maybe due to the altitude of the course? Also interested to hear what clubs you use?
Thanks. Yeah this was from the Blue's. There was elevation off most tee's and yes I think the course is at altitude, funny I did not even check. I am currently playing all Callaway. Rogue driver, 3w, 3h, Apex irons, and MD wedges. I had a few people ask for a what's in the bag. I am going to get fit for a driver as I am spinning the ball too high, maybe I will do that after. Thanks for watching!
Couple questions about E6... Does it take lie into consideration when calculating each shot? Such as ball above or below feet and rough/sand versus fairway? Also, does it automatically align your puts? That seems a bit advantageous.
So there are many different options. They do have penalties for rough and sand. I plan on doing a video demonstrating that. They also have several putting options many people just play with a line to break which is what you see here. You still have to hit the ball straight but it has you lined up to the ideal hitting line if you hit the right speed and direction. It does not take lie into consideration to the best of my knowledge
If you play without the "line to break" option in putting, can you putt to the right or left of your break? Or do you have to aim the screen to your break and putt straight?
Glad I found your channel, great info. My question is Skytrak is to me the best simulator but does not show club head data. The new Garmin R10 does however right? The unfortunate thing is that so far reviews of the R10 focus on its accuracy and spin data rather than the club head data - obtaining which costs a fortune with CG Quad, or Trackman units. Have you looked at the value and accuracy of the R10 for clubbed data? Finally, I have a SkyPro unit which I think can be linked to Skytrak, thus able to obtain swing data along with other basic numbers. What's my question? Value of R10 clubbed data especially for the cost, and possibility to combine SkyPro with SkyTrakto obtain valuable swing data. It seems to me that the R10 has great value in this regard.
I’m in the same boat as you. Would love to get the club data. However, the R10 doesn’t technically measure the club data. It calculates it based on the ball data it collects. And, like you said, it’s not very good at the moment. Not sure what’s screwed up with their software, but watching many RUclips reviews, most, if not all, are getting vastly different calculations from what their ball is doing (inside and outside). So, until they fix that, the cheapest thing you can get that actually reads the club head data…
just purchased a SkyTrak and will be using it with an iPad until I decide which projector to buy. Love your graphics....which projector are you using???
I run the E6Connect/SkyTrak combination with the most recent iPad Pro and get a 4 second lag between hitting the shot and seing it on the screen. You have 2,5 to 3 second lag. Do you use a PC? Which processor and video card do you have?
I really don’t recommend any as they are all very unique and it generally always comes down to personal preference. I try to demonstrate them all as much as I can as they are all different and offer various features, games, settings, etc. Thanks for watching
Jeremy, what do you use to record both your actual swing and the shot itself? These videos are awesome and I’m just wondering what software you use to make them. Thanks!
@@DangerousDeng9 Here I am using high end video equipment and professional studio software, nothing I would really recommend to anyone looking to record a swing. First I have heard this! I only use USB and it works great. Are you sure your usb driver are all up to date and you are not using at aftermarket USB cable or extender?
I would not recommend that! Sharpie will rub off on your screen and it is really not necessary as you can see here. I am using a Titleist Pro V1 which does not even really have a big bold logo and it is really very well. 1 misread the entire 9 holes and that could have even been me missing the dot or facing the logo that time.
I have SkyTrak and am up for my yearly renewal of the game improve and play plan. I haven’t had the E6 on it before. Does it easily load up on an existing skytrak?
Thinking about setting up a sim space in my single garage with skytrak. I will have to hit from off center of the net/screen. Will that work ok still? Can the unit be easily moved to the left side and back during gameplay (my wife is lefty and I am righty)? Or is the set up to fiddly to get accurate readings moving it around?
Hey great Content! cool to see Jeremy Ranch on there, its a local private course here in Utah. So I downloaded the demo and notice about a 10- 20% decrease in distance. is that just on the Demo game? also I noticed you didn't add for any rough or sand penalties. does it not take that into consideration?
