Warhammer 40k players the entire video "i'm going to apply nuln oil here and there... and there"
That would take several pots of nuln oil so I better get ordering
@@ilikerunescape1100 Nah, skip the nuln oil, siphon the car, dip it in that, then coat it in clear sealant once it's dry. Probably less expensive.
@@dashiellgillingham4579 nah man, NULN OIL is the only way
For those who don't know - Nuln Oil is Games Worshop's brand of a black acrylic Ink "wash" - designed to get in the recesses of a miniature to enhance a shading effect.
As for the name; it comes not from Warhammer 40k but it's elder brother Warhammer Fanasty. Nuln is a major city in that setting.
well no some aren't worried about but some are wanted to know is there going to more parts coming. you know hard making ball joints are without any machinery molds especially getting to polish perfect sphere on a stick ? yea be good challanger. oh about nuln oil, there was youtuber did done tutorial for making closest to nuln oil. i normally use pigment brown and black oil paint with clear oil paint. if it too thick mix thinner as you go for your liking. won't be the same but to me give better contrasts for my liking.
Pre-painted? No glueing or sanding the seams? Heresy!
Lol!
It hurts my inner Primarch.
I was also expecting a model kit
Don't worry, the McFarlane one will have an unpainted one alongside the painted version.
No mono-pose? EXTRA HERESY!!!

Fat mood. My wallet cries upon entering gamesworkshop.
All my space marines are worth around £100
Robo should definitely watch the “Astartes” series on RUclips it’s a super short animated series about space Marines and it is absolutely fantastic
Came here to sugest that!

well it might be some sucessor chapter of salamanders: 'blue cobras' that uses some kind of biologic weapons instead of flamers. :P
@Paul Schwartz ssshhhhhhh
HERESY!!!
That’s a power pack, that’s power armor.
It’s a mini fusion reactor, without it it’s only as tough as a tank.
With the power pack it’s as tough as a tank , can move faster than a unaugmented human can easily follow, and can be used under water or in space.
But its plastic tho
seeing normies first encounter with WH40K is always a delight.
let's hope he will not fall in that money sucking black hole !

@Expired Milk where do you think the black Templars originated from Rogal Dorn
If the arms came off easily than that wouldn't be an Ultramarine, it would be Abaddon
When a Bandai figure is actually larger than Marvel Legends:
Imagine an orc holy shit they woul look good together or The Emperor HOLY SHIT THAT... THATS A STEAL
Bandai has tons of figures that are larger than marvel legends, if you care to look beyond SH Figuarts.
Let’s see
1.) hulk(infinity war)
2.) hulk busters(either mk1 or mk2)
Those are the only big guys I know bigger than legends
I mean an intercessor should be huge
It's a space marine, I believe that they get to be about 8 feet after around 2 centuries???
10:50 That, you Heretic, is a Bolter.. the most Holy of Holy Armaments.

jack murray Puny Weapons when compared to the Holy Bolter, the most awe inspiring and fear inducing firearm ever produced in human history.
Just some infos, for Robo and other people who aren't familiar with Warhammer 40k:
The Space Marines or Adeptus Astartes, are genetically engineered super-soldiers. Think Spartans from Halo,on steroids,on illegal steroids. Among other things, they have 2 hearts,3 lungs, can breath toxic air and even switch part of their brain off,so that they can fight for a week without sleep.Needles to say, they have superhuman strenght, reflexes and senses.
This guy here,is a Primaris Marine, which are the new improved variant that have been recently introduced in the Warhammer40k Universe.
Their power armor,is powered by an internal mini-fusion reactor and is linked to their nervous system. That means they can move with this thing, like we move wearing normal clothes. The power-armor can withstand pretty much everything from small arms fire, granades and even lazer-type weapons.
The ''gun'' they use,is not really a rifle but a ''Bolter'' which shoots mini-RPG's that penetrate the target and then explode from within.
Astartes are divided in ''Chapters'',this guy here belongs to the Ultramarines, which are the most ''vanilla'' of all chapters and the but of many jokes and memes in the Warhammer40k community. They're called ''Smurfs'' and what not.
Other chapters have specific characteristis, that make them stand out incl. their own memes.
You got the Space Wolves (viking-werewolf barbarians),the Black Templars (modelled after Crusaders),the Salamanders (they love incendiery weapons and are pyromanicas), the Blood Angels (they're like vampire-mutants) etc. etc. etc.
I highly recommend the 'Astartes'' fanmade series to get an idea on how these guys move and fight.
I can’t wait to see how McFarlane’s compares
least with them there is a grey blank Marine ,at least there was a plan to do one so you can paint it your own chapters
@@tycondrius23 Yeah, that's the way to go.
I'd like to see some Chapter specific add-ons, like wolf pelts for Space Wolves etc.
The Bandai one was just too expensive.
My appraisal is it'll be cheaper, taller and have less articulation than the Bandai figure. Oh well.
@@mariochaosspear Sounds like a McFarlane "figure".
I mean one is an premium action figure targeted at manchidren with disposable income and the other is a Walmart toy.
The aesthetic is fantastic but honestly, what's keeping me from getting it is the size. A Space Marine should be, at the very least, 8-9 feet tall on average. They're all practically Hulk-sized.
Yeah that scale is all messed up if it is supposed to fit with 6 inch, the Astartes RUclips video gives a good look at scale. m.ruclips.net/video/2bko5GgK5v8/видео.html
It's specifically Primaris, too. So, it's supposed to be even bigger and badder than a normal Space Marine. It's incredibly undersized for any other 1:12 or 6" line. :-/
Not trying to shit on Robo but whoever told him that figure is sized as it should be for 1/12 scale was either lying or stupid. He should be larger than Broly in his Mark X Tacticus. That's a 9 foot Primaris Marine in power armor. Imagine if Iron Monger there started out Hulk sized... then layered on Veronica.
For the money, this squeaky piece of shit can gobble my nuts. McF, save me please!
@@kiltedcripple lol, McFarlane can't save you, the only thing he saves is money.
Indeed. "Space Hulks" you could say. 😃

The symbol on the shoulder is the logo of his chapter, the Ultramarines. They are Ultramarines because they are blue boys. Other than that, great review.
Aha! I knew it wasn't just an Omega symbol, didn't want to call it that for fear of it being something else.

The Black Templars ones should be Glorious Brother
Seems like it’s all Primaris Ultramarines and Necron these days, eh?
@@snactimusmaximus I get pushing Primaris models as they try to make that the new normal, but there's no reason Ultramarines have to be the only SM Chapter. Canonically, Ultramarines are still trying to push back Death Guard, now they're fighting the Necrons on a new front? There's only supposed to a a thousand of them.
Everything pales when compared to Ultramarines
Yeah although I can't fault them for going with the poster marines. I already got plans to make the unpainted mcfarlane figure into a space wolf.
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.... and im waiting for the McFarlane version :P im not going to pay the crazy amount of money they want for this guy, especially since its a Ultra Marine xd Salamanders for life
Vulkan Lives!!
looking at how mcfarlane pulled the doomslayer, really makes me concern how they make bulky figures
Honestly I was waiting for a warhammer figure, saw the bandai's were coming, I put in the preorder, they then sold out right afterward and THEN i found out about the mcfarlane figures. I decided to keep it because outside of the preorder I got, other sites were already marking them up to twice what I was paying. If anything it's a nice item for a collection......probably will get the mcfarlane's too.
There's now a salamander version
"It's meant to be a brute"

Applying Cobra symbols?
Heresy, but also correct.
Grats on you for so accurately sussing out the fandom by design signals alone.
The Marine is covered in 3 tons of power armor so that when he's hit by artillery fire it doesn't kill him. So I feel like it works for the target audience by being kinda non flexible.
I could only see it really irking the PURISTS as Space Marines are supposed to be so strong that even with 3 ton armor they are supposed to be dodging and flipping around like batman. Of course with that armor no figure is going to be THAT flexible but you do what you can.
Regarding the small panels on the back of his knees they do extend fully into place you just have to extend the leg fully until it clicks
Its gr8 they painted him in this "clean" style, due to the fact when we army build them people can add any detail they like. If they did him with scratched, battle worn paint job there would be no room left for custom paint details, the way it is now its awesome =)
You wanna customize a figure that Costa almost 300 bucks lol be my guest. No thank you. Amry building this figure is damn near impossible unless you got lots of money.
Army build with a price tag of 200+ a pop? Darn
I'm not a huge war hammer fan, but I've always loved the design of the tyrannids. It would be awesome if they made some of those.
if they're making teeny primarus, imagine how small nids would be.
THE EMPEROR PROTECTS
Brother Robo is now inducted into the adeptus ministorum
but FR tho i am praying to all that is holy in the eternal carnage of space that Bandai, at the very least, makes a way cheaper version of this fig, to mass produce and sell. Either that or turn it into a model kit
damn Robo if your ever getting rid of this give me first dibs :P . I foolishly cancelled my pre-order on BBTS as I thought Mcfarlanes one would be out around the same time !. in any case the Gun is Bolt Rifle commonly known as a Bolter . the backpack is a generator for powering the suit as its Power Armor and in the lore those suits are basically welded and screwed into place by a team to get the Marine into them . Marines can remove it but it a pretty time consuming process without help. yup the Ultramarines chapter symbol (a inverted Omega sign) is on the left shoulder the right shoulder denotes where the marine lies in the army that arrow is used for tactical squads . any your right about the height a regular Marine stands around 7' Primaris is 8' tall roughly
I'm finding an hard time looking for the differences between this and McFarlane one. can you tell me more?
Oh man, BBTS was marking those up almost 2x the games workshop price . It's one of the reasons I kept my preorder on games workshop because i knew I was not going to be able to get this figure at a lesser-outrageous price afterwards if I changed my mind about wanting it. At roughly $100, I still think it's a bit over priced but I'm not sorry I bought it.
The symbol on the right shoulder is basically stylized U(which actually is literally an upside down Greek omega Ω letter but it's supposed to be a U in this case) standing for "Ultramarine" which is the chapter of marines this guy comes from, there are many chapters but the Ultramarines are the poster bois of 40k. And that's a power pack for the armor not a jetpack.
The bane to online figure shopping “It looked hefty, I thought it would be bigger.” I have the 1000 toys MasterChief on preorder & I’m trying to not think it as a big figure incase it’s smaller than I think it should be.
It's decently sized so don't worry.
When is the release? I missed the preorder but my country's aftermarket pricing usually ain't that bad.
Yosua I think Big Bad Toy Store still has their preorder up for a not crazy marked up price.
Tilden Cats If the synthetic human didn’t get them on the map it’s that beautiful Hellboy for sure, still need to get him too.
we all now what is need it for moments like this for 40K content......FOR THE EMPEROR!!!
I had forgotten about the mad scramble for this guy. Giving me some flash backs to my old wargaming days. Now to wait for the McFarlane
When I heard the Footloose music I was like “was that part of the video?” 😂
I’ll wait for the McFarlane one (I don’t know anything about Warhammer but I wanna paint one of those). Really nice work with the Footloose Robo.
4:42 "Blemishes?" Brother, those are the scratches I got from purging heretics!
The McFarlane version of this would be easy to turn into a cobra version when it is released

Great review, Robo. Hey, I know this isn't a playday video, and you might already know about this, but there's this guy here on YT called 3d Zip Guy who created a fully articulated Peely figure using zip ties. Weird, I know, but I figured with your interest in the character and other people's customs, this might be something to consider getting if he does commissions.
I love when you put the little song bits into the videos when certain keywords invoking said songs come up, 'cause that's seriously how my brain works, words kinda trigger certain songs to start playing in my brain.
"I only got this because it's a neat looking action figure..." - preachin' to the choir, reverend. Same here - don't know, but it's cool!
Looks like this thing is built like one of Bandai's model kits.
At first I thought it's a model kit.
honestly, i think this could have been better as a Bandai kit, like the ones they do for star wars
I'd suggest watching Astartes and Hellsreach if you're interested in getting into the 40k universe, they're both great fan films that capture the feel of 40k very well.
I think you might be right about the intent of the removable parts. They might be planning accessory packs down the road, as there are a ton of different variations of the 40K space marine
Both copies of my Space Marine arrived last week (in Australia) & it is a TRUE beauty to play with - given I am a LONG TIME WH40K Groupie ! I waited 33 years for an ARTICULATED WH40K Space Marine action figure & it was WELL worth it. THANK YOU Robo for showing how the rear knee covers "drop down" to allow kneeling poses - I didn't want to push mine too hard - so thank you STUNT ROBO ! The scale is easily 6 inch & not as big as the protoypes appeared (they looked 7 to 8 inch) . I am also glueing on my elbow pads - no biggie. This Marine is my 2nd favourite action figure now - with the Astrobots STILL at #1 because we know how good they are ? BANDAI PLEASE release this as a kit so I can army build this baby (the design leans towards a kit). I do not think the McFarlane one will have as good articulation as this, but we'll see. I highly recommend EVERYONE check out the Warhammer 40K Universe, even if just for "Imagination Fodder" - you WILL be hooked ! The huge palette of races & variations of Armour & weapons is up there with Star Wars ..... plus I'm old so listen to me kids. PS: The Symbol is the Greek Omega symbol upside down = U for Ultramarines.
Grenades in the box:am i a joke to you?
13:20 as an avid Warhammer 40k fan, he should be closer to Iron Monger, but this is passable. Dope review as always Robo.
Everything coming Off was meant to happen, as it makes it easier to Paint, as most Warhammer Fans also love painting Miniatures/Figurines.
Congratulations,Trazyn, you got one of us in the collection, but we won’t leave it that easy
The Footloose audio was genius! 🤣🤣
I picked up this figure myself and quite like it. Like you though the elbow pads kept falling off (even without touching them, mine were super loose) and fixed them with a bit of glue, they're not going anywhere now.
A warning for those seeking this figure now though, the resale prices are through the roof, but Bandai and GW have said more are coming at some point. I wish they'd do a Ork as that would be awesome!
12:40 Oh,jump packs are more bigger)))
As someone who's worked with injection molding, this thing is beautiful.
As a guy who loves WH40K but doesn't know shit about painting or doing any of those things I'm glad this comes already painted! I'd love to buy it
I wish they'd done this one as a model kit. I would've bought several of those just to customize them in different ways.
1:53 Look. You were immediately hooked to the 40k universe when you say "sorcery"
well...it's not a jumppack but good on you for unknowingly knowing the name for jetpacks in warhammer 40k
You mentioned glueing the shoulder pad. Just curious what kind of glue do you use ?
I used to use any old super glue but got sick of fighting it and never knowing if it will stick, now I use JB Weld Super Weld. Has a brush in the cap so I don't have to worry about clogs and can put it exactly where I want it, plus it's held every time.
for a figure this blue, I would have been on board with a background color swap. Plus, I just wanna hear Robo nail that script/explanation. Best figure review channel hands down. Plenty of heavy hitters supplementing the feed, but Fwoosh is top dog as far as im concerned. Stay awesome pls
This is very neat to see. I didn’t know Bandai had a 40K figure. Might have to pick on up if there’s a Space Wolf version.
they should make a blood angel version or some orks or something else to have fighting on the shelf
That art is on pretty much every space marines product ever...
That sorcery must be purged in HOLY FIRE!!!!!!
Just got mine today and I love it, chunky little smurf boi!
I will say though I had to glue the elbow pads on mine as they kept coming off and I think the arms are meant to come of at the bicep swivel to make it easier for the hands to be swapped out, kinda awkward with those shoulder pads in the way.
Oh yeah, as seen here, the elbow pads piss me off and will be glued when I get back in the booth.
@@TheFwooshJust to kinda comment on your statement that you're not very knowledgeable on the whole Warhammer universe and sizing, I think the McFarlane ones at 7" will do so much better against regular ML figures as Space Marines are supposed to be pretty big and this guy just doesn't cut it.
Whats up Robo? Great review as usual my man. I missed the direct pre-order from games-workshop.com. It's 215.99 through bbts. The pre-order is sold out. So after handling the figure and considering its pretty much sold out everywhere, at least I couldn't find it, do you think its worth the bbts mark up? Thanks brother for reviewing this one.
I don't think I'd pay over the original $100 price for this. If I were you, wait and see what the McFarlane versions are going to look like.
I love the figure tbh and awesome video as always! how hard was the head to remove? I’m sending mine off to have a Friend paint it
Not bad actually.. How much does it cost? Could be a good army build for some evil alien empire or such
Edit :100 dollars?! No thanks.. I'll wait for McFarlane to get their out.
Where are you finding it for $100? I'm only seeing it for $200+
That was the original price.
@@TheFwoosh gonna wait for the McFarlane.. Still amazing figure!
I wonder if the ease of taking parts off is to have some kind of interchangeable aspect on the figures
I'd like to think so but knowing bandai it was probably just so you're more likely to pull off the arm and be able to re-attach it rather then it snapping in half and being un-repairable. I find it tends to be a more reoccuring thing in figures made in japan as opposed to the US.
I never played Warhammer 40k or otherwise, but if a company (Bandai, McFarlane) starts making a Harlequin troupe, I'm in.
It feels good to hear nice things about Primaris Marines concerning their design from someone who isn’t acquainted with 40k lore, considering most people hate sperg at the mere mention of them.
It's constructed very much like the Bandai Stormtrooper model kit. I'm hoping we'll get other chapters and they work out the bugs.

Great review 👍😁
So now that Mafex cyclops is out, when do you think Thor is coming out? I’m hyped for him and the promo shots look good, but I know Mafex has had a rough history with face sculpts
I feel that the use of balljoints and ease of taking and putting back on parts is a lil way of helping those who have intention of painting or customizing it as not everyone likes the ultramarines
Ah, that makes sense.
Ok, I just got mine from games workshop and I so far of the prelim reviews i've seen no one has mentioned this so i'm just putting this out there...........the slip cover for mine was basically fused to the box. Not sure if it was just a manufacturing error of the box itself or what. Honestly I don't care, figure is still great. I do like to preserve the boxes when i can, and hell even If i can't remove the slip cover, no big deal it's a nice box regardless, but MAN i've never seen anything so.....STUCK together without any visible tape or adhesive. It's just unreal.
Updated: Ok, I finally managed to separate it without tearing or ripping. I don't know if it was some left over adhesive on the box or interior of the slip, or if the slip cover is just SKIN TIGHT to the box. I just carefully ran a pocket knife blade around both openings and used minimal pressure to inch the interior box enough that I was able to separate them eventually but now I'm terrified to put the slip cover back on the box. :)
I remember hearing about these then saw the price... i was surprised that Bandai would not offer this as a build yourself kit. The first time I heard of Bandai was when I got a Gundam kit when I was little, it was awesome never seen anything like it before.
Gotta say, The Fiend shirt saying, "Let Me In" is the perfect slogan for us toy collectors because every time we see a cool figure it screams at us to let it in 😂
Haha, yeah, I never thought of it that way but it's perfect.
In wh40k space marines are 6ft but they go up in height which is where the difference sizes of hammer comes from primaris are normally 9-10ft tall with armor
Got mine yesterday, will soon undergo a bit of remodeling and total repaint as it will become a Carcharodon space marine. I agree with the final comments a lot: a very nice, detailed figure taht catures the look and feel of warhammer 40k almost to perfection. Ineresting engineering solutions, pretty decent paintjob. Would be, though, at most in the 50-60 dollars price range, to be fair. What you pay for it is (in true Games Workshop style, it has to be said) frankly too much.
Hey Robo Did you get your from GW or Big Bad Toys?.. Great Review!!
I got this from Games Workshop. I think.
Funny enough those elbow pieces pop out in the books as well. Huge oversight by Cawl.
I never played Warhammer, but I always liked the lore and aesthetics of it.
It's an awesome, among the many awesomes in the 40K universe! Too much, but looking forward to more 40K figures anyway!
Neat figure for shure, and I think it’s easy to take apart for the fans who paint and build models. Shure it’s a ultramarine (that toilet seat looking crest) but why not change it up and add on extra detail to make it your own chapter. And for the gun handle being so thin and flimsy scares me a little. But otherwise it looks like a great figure to add to the collection, a little on the small side of the lot. But still looks worth it . Sorta
Could add a plastic friendly oil to reduce the friction of the plastic rubbing together.
Some parts really remeber me more of a gundam model kit than an action figure . I hope bandai release a bunch of model kits of space marines in bigger scale
It was first announced as a model kit in Tokyo Hobby show, but it was changed for unknow reason.
Yes, it looks like a pre-painted and pre-assembled plastic model kit. Very pricey. And yes, it was announced as a model kit. Bad decision making from Bandai.
@@MemoGGG16 that explains a lot, when i saw the arms popping it really showed that is more a model kit, too bad they didn't keep it that way
The opening sketch amusing because the primaris are - in both production and canon - the new upgraded generation of space marines (or Adeptus Astartes for their in univrrse name).
So yeah for someone unfamiliar with the franchise you were right on the money.
It’s an omega symbol on his shoulder, I think
Darkseid has entered the chat
It's the upsidedown Omega symbol to represent the Ultramarine symbol.
There it is. I knew it was an Omega symbol but figured it was something different in Warhammer.
@@TheFwoosh The Eagle is the Imperial Eagle, the "good" guys of the 40K universe who basically are under command of the Emperor of Terra.
Very nice looking Ultra Marine
When I get mine, I'm spray painting it red because I like bloods more than smurfy crips :P
That's a cool looking figure. It's tempting.
I played a bit of boardgames, but still unfamiliar to Warhammer 4K. But I gotta say that the rifle has been sorta "cartoony" since the beginning of the franchise if I'm not mistaken. But damn, this figure looks nice, Bandai did the job as usual.
I'm so sad I missed out. He's going for stupid prices on Big Bad Toy Store (literally scalper prices) which is real frustrating. Plus $300 on eBya is a no go. :/
the price is that high on BBTS cause its a P-bandai Exclusive and Import figure so they have to pay more then the GW stores had to, to be able to sell them. Not saying its fair and I'm in the same boat. I wish I had jumped on it in my local GW store but it was sold out before I even finished work for the day to get there.
@@tycondrius23 I know why the price is higher but it def has no reason to be over twice the retail price of it, exclusive or not. I know McFarlane's won't deliver, at least not in the articulation department, so who knows. They are selling painted as well as a blank so maybe I'll just buy one and make a Space Wolf and stop crying about this one. :/
