Practice makes perfect! It took me a year of painting for hours every day before I was able to do a transition on a space marines eye lenses. I find the key is doing it after you base coat then clean up around the eye with your base colour before you apply washes and highlights!
I really hope McFarlane Toys didn't expect us to sit around and wait for our favorite chapters/heretics... sculptors like you give us mere mortal model-builders aspirations LoL

Echo the above sentiment, and agree w/your decision to switch the eye color. Green would’ve worked if you were doing Alpha Legion and had a cooler blue/blue-green pallet on the model. Yellow/yellow-orange works better w/your warmer red/bronze color scheme
The World Eaters are my favourite traitor legion. I was really hoping this was going to be a Khorne Berzerker when I clicked on the video, but he's still awesome!
I will revisit Khorne at some point in the future, but this guy was heavily inspired by the 90s plastic World Eater models. Other than the bunny ears and a world eater symbol he's almost there. Without the thumbnail, I would have thought it to be a Black Legionnaire at first, then the paint came on and I was blown away by the complete product! Very well done indeed.

I think you should make another one, send the parts to Mcfarlne toys, and see if they can cast it, making sure you get some sort of percantage on sales of the figure.
Not only was it another great kitbash, it was also fun to learn (from the comments) that he was originally intended to be black legion, before you instead decided to make him a world eater. It really shows me your adaptability for when things don’t go to plan. I’ve got to honestly say, every time I see your conversations, I have this deep child-like desire to play with them, despite them being make for display purposes. It’s probably the fact that they are action figures, but if I was in your shoes, I honestly would feel this urge to occasionally take them out of display to play with them a bit. I have since painted a lot more black armour and felt confident to tackle it again when making and painting Abaddon. I generally don't fuss with my work once they go in the display cabinet, only really coming out when people want to see them, or like last year when I enter them in competitions. I can see that. I see it as he is aiming at a downed enemy and about to put a bolter round in its head. Tbh I was overly cautious about moving the figure as I didn't want to scrape any paint off. 😆

But I'm also pleasantly surprised you didn't make the mistake many people do on this kind of project and have scuffed silver battle damage on the armour, since Power armour isn't actually made of metal

That is a super reproduction of a Chaos Marine and not one I'd have thought possible but now I know what techniques to use can see several applications for converting my Marines into Space Wolves complete with iconography depicting the Iron Wolves. Cheers for sharing.

really amazing stuff, I originally got this video on my recommended while I was drunk yesterday. I came back to watch it again. Use of sculpey, putty, and some bit of scratch build(using lego parts etc) works together so nicely.

Thanks Eric. Been watching your videos for some time now (through my personal account). Fantastic stuff. I keep wanting to make some Eldar terrain, but I have literally no space to put it if I did. Yes, good spot. At the time I only had the one chainsword so made a blue stuff mold and used apoxie sculpt (with a polystyrene rod set along its length inside) to make a duplicate so I could customise one without damaging the original. I mean I am nowhere near as skilled in sculpting as you, so that's probably the reason, but my sculpting material never behaves that nicely when I try to sculpt with it. That said: Damn that's some skill you got there. It's so satisfying to see a part, thinking "Meh, that does not look good" and then seconds later you added something to it and it's perfect.
13:00 Wow those old _Skeleton_ _Horde_ skellie arms, that was a blast from the past! One of the first truly revolutionary plastic kits. I bought so many of those. Great source for skulls too.
I loved that sprue! I think I bought all iterations of it, skeleton hoard, Skelton army and then just the boxes of ten skeletons. Amazing for the time. But never enough spears... so hence having a lot of them in my bits box now. Great that you recognised where they were from! I have since painted a lot more black armour and felt confident to tackle it again when making and painting Abaddon. I generally don't fuss with my work once they go in the display cabinet, only really coming out when people want to see them, or like last year when I enter them in competitions. I can see that. I see it as he is aiming at a downed enemy and about to put a bolter round in its head. Tbh I was overly cautious about moving the figure as I didn't want to scrape any paint off. 😆

That is a super reproduction of a Chaos Marine and not one I'd have thought possible but now I know what techniques to use can see several applications for converting my Marines into Space Wolves complete with iconography depicting the Iron Wolves. Cheers for sharing.

really amazing stuff, I originally got this video on my recommended while I was drunk yesterday. I came back to watch it again. Use of sculpey, putty, and some bit of scratch build(using lego parts etc) works together so nicely.

Thanks Eric. Been watching your videos for some time now (through my personal account). Fantastic stuff. I keep wanting to make some Eldar terrain, but I have literally no space to put it if I did. Yes, good spot. At the time I only had the one chainsword so made a blue stuff mold and used apoxie sculpt (with a polystyrene rod set along its length inside) to make a duplicate so I could customise one without damaging the original. Mcfarlane plastic would not survive the oven at all. More videos to come, and plans to do more Chaos marines soon too! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I mean I am nowhere near as skilled in sculpting as you, so that's probably the reason, but my sculpting material never behaves that nicely when I try to sculpt with it. That said: Damn that's some skill you got there.

13:00 Wow those old _Skeleton_ _Horde_ skellie arms, that was a blast from the past! One of the first truly revolutionary plastic kits. I bought so many of those. Great source for skulls too.
I loved that sprue! I think I bought all iterations of it, skeleton hoard, Skelton army and then just the boxes of ten skeletons. Amazing for the time. But never enough spears... so hence having a lot of them in my bits box now. Great that you recognised where they were from! Gotta say as someone who works in the creative industries I love watching work go from an idea to a finished product. Watching the process of it slowly building up from a concept bit by bit is amazing. Definitely gonna have to attempt my own mcfarlane conversion
