Nice deconstruction! Slider on SM64DS is just as amazing as SM64. Looking at this, I feel like I made several mistakes when extracting slider from SM64 (Possibly because I was lazy at the time.) Since SM64DS is very similar in terms of instrument usage, this is definitely the case.
Sm64ds slider sounds a little different from the ingame slider in sm64… is it because of one of the instruments being slightly louder or for another reason?

It's feel kinda weird hearing Chanel 1 alone
Omg its makerk6 from the sm64ex coop
@bup Ayo didn't expect someone from the sm64ex-coop server to recognize me
What's up ?
Really weird with this not being a Flintstones rip
3:45 This section with just the bass and drums sounds like it belongs in a Crash Bandicoot game
I know the original too well, my brain kept filling in the other instruments even though I knew only channel 1 was playing
I keep filling in with flintstones because of Siivagunner
A classic. Can never go wrong with an iconic theme.
I would love a mario level that would have the slider theme that just builds like it does from 3:45 to end.
they made the bass louder
The poor piano
THE BANJO
Of course I know this track but I never realized what a masterpiece it really is till now, damn
It’s really hard to tell with the terrible yet iconic ds speakers

Channel 1, 2 - Fiddle
Channel 3 - Whistle
Channel 4, 5 - Banjo
Channel 6 - Acoustic Steel Guitar
Channel 7 - Acoustic Bass
Channel 8, 9, 10, 11 - Percussion
(if you dont believe me, try using an sm64 slider midi rip with these instruments)
hmmm….
6+3 is a banger in itself
the bass sounds pretty funky on its own honestly
3:45 New Song
Thank you algorithm for blessing me with this K I N O
I think i have listened to too much SIlvagunner cuz sometimes my mind went crazy over thinking it might become something else.
Is it me or the bass from this version is louder than the N64 one
that would make sense, because DS speakers had very little bass so the bass tone in a lot of DS games were louder. dunno 4 sure tho
The whistle is alot smoother
I live for this banjo
Nice that you did the DS version, it’s by far less popular yet it’s my favorite and has better bass
RUclips finally recommended me something worth watching this is fantastic!
3:45 impossible not to bop to
I can still ear all channels together
Could you do Records from Mario Kart DS?
3 and 6 sounds like someone trying to do cover
One more time amazing!
i love these breakdowns, nice to hear each part of the song and how they all come together to make our classic songs we know and love

Iconic.

channel 1 sounds like an electric guitar
How would one get the sort of effect on channel one on a midi file? Like the quick sliding up to the correct pitch after the note starts playing.
