Quick correction that you shouldn’t try to force constant trades early because you run oom in 6 casts. He will try to proc manaflow with e in lane and try to base on tear/shroud and then you can start really punishing your laner. If you want an early kill, take press the attack and ignite, such as lanes vs Warwick or Renekton
Taric has one of the highest winrates at 54.5%, with arguably the best late game WR for supports. This fact should make him perfect for lower elo, where games drag on. Only problem is that people don't find his kit interesting enough to play, so his pick rate is very low. (Thresh is about 12x more popular)

I recommend trying rod of ages as well, sounds like inting I know but its a super good item in taric, just put points into e qq w then max e and become unstoppable with catalyst of aeons
