    I've known for years that when you price to prune a hedge you should look to see how wide it is but unfortunately this isn't always easy to do . I got a real shock when I started on this laurel hedge. Let me know in the comments if you have been caught out with an extra wide hedge . So..on with cutting the WIDEST hedge EVER in LHL history 😁..

    Regarding cutting hedges, when cuttings fall into the neighbours garden do you go around and collect them or just try your best to keep the coming to your side when trimming the top?

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  5 лет назад +1

      I would be a liar if I said I never drop any over but it's very rare. I pull the shears towards me when I cut and this makes the cuttings fall my way.

    Laurel hedges are the worst - an absolute bugger to cut! Think you'll agree!

  • @DavidC1
    @DavidC1 4 года назад

    I notice when you are cutting on the downstroke when doing hedges in a few videos, and it is snagging into the hedge and causing holes/unevenness because it pulls the branch down and then cuts. I think if you were to cut only on the upstroke it would give an even better finish. I watched this over and noticed that it cut too deep when you were cutting on the down stroke pass. I do a ton of hedges so i just wanted to point this out because i think you do a great job but maybe were unaware of this. Keep it up. been big fan for a few years
