Hey man! Watched your build videos, really enjoy them. I played a crit shattered strike build and died at about 250c.
I want to try an ailment shattered strike build next and this looks great. I have a decent eraser shield I could equip. Anything else you would change for hardcore besides running the sword and board planner?
Will freeze work on bosses with just single frostbite affix, if i don't focus on DoT, but rather crit/cold melee damage oriented build ?

Thank you for posting this build! I'm glad someone's pushing shatter strike as far as you are. I'm going to try and make this build work using either a battle mage's endeavour or a claymore. If you have any advice about swapping out other gear pieces for this to work I'd appreciate it!
I use 2 Shard of the Shattered Lance. This way we get a balance between frost damage (Dot) and shatter strike. So far I feel great at 300+

@@theferkesdos8665 I'm sticking to two-handed swords for this build but if I ever want to try dual-wielding I'll give it a try since that sword is easier to get.
@@gh0stdfm175 two-handed? Hmmm... I really liked the sword from Lagon. Just don't drop LP2 to upgrade speed attacks

Not really.. well if your fine being at 200-300c then pretty much any skill works. But going past that and you will need 6-10k+ ward consistently.
Other spellblades skills just don't have enough hit speed to generate a lot with on hit. I guess you can always just go low life for those...
@@Bigdaddytehpwnerereerr Will you play spellblade again in cycle 2? Also could you explain why you dont take the razor ice node on the shatter strike tree? Is it because it only applies to frostbite applied by the shatter strike iteself, and the boots already give global penetration? 60% is a lot though, and I imagine the bulk of stacks are applied by shatter strike.
@tripleraze321 yea probably will. I think I didn't take it because I already had enough pen from boots and points on shatter strike are scarce

I see you are using flame ward on your bar. Do you find basic skill to be enough, and is the extra damage/immunity from teleport worth to specialise in instead of flame ward?
I've been using flame ward during leveling (only level 32 or so) and like extra damage/protection from it, but I don't know if it falls behind later on?
At the moment non specialized flame ward is fine. There have been moments when I wish I had the extra DR but overall stun immunity is more important I think.
Great Build! Curious if this would work in a duo setup with a healing hands pally, where ward can get out of control. Would the humming bee passive take this to insane levels?
Maybe yea, but it's increased damage and you would need hundreds of thousands of ward to make it worth it.

Are septors, armor, and shields used as the next best option before setting them up as rare items?
Or is it used as a build-up?
They are example alternate items. For the final endgame version, check the build planner. And good luck

Flame ward is one lvl only?
Still loving this build levelling takes ages once you hit 80 but at least your build makes it easier , and i have finally hit empowered monoliths woohoo . i havent been using teleport as my reflexes are slow due to loads of medications so that may be why my levelling is slow , i cant get your gloves to drop did you get them in normal monoliths or empowered ? Love this build as it usable for me with just 2 keys and my mouse.

I'm doing a variation with last steps of the living and exanguinous which gives me a ton of ward how much is the snowdrift boots needed?
It’s more the Frostbite Shackles you need to make this build work as well as it shows in the video

Why is frost claw in the build guide?
Is it me on such a bad luck with 0/20 runs of the Blood, frost, and death timeline to get the glove, or there are certain conditions I should meet to get it?
I managed to get the Lich's Scorn, but not Eulogy of Blood or Frostbite Shackles, which all drop from the same boss in this timeline.

Outside of the shield you showed, why are you heavy cold resist stacking?
The last affix on the gloves gives you 1% ward retention per 1% uncapped cold res

Not for this build, this ones a DoT build. Even so, Nib is a bait imo.

brother i been fighting through 600 corr on my spellblade. Its a challenge with ranged just like u said. Theres something wrong with spellblade as a whole, its not quit where it should be.

i really like the idea of relying fully on frostbite for damage and scaling with freeze rate. Im currently a crit build, trying to phase into frostbite. Its hard to get enough freeze while running crit and still have enough damage. Frostbite seams to fix this problem cause they scale with the same stat.@@Bigdaddytehpwnerereerr

Hi, why you have many cold resistance ?
Because of the frostbite shackles gloves. It gives me ward retention.

For gloves (frostbite shackles) 1% cold uncapped = +1% ward rendention
