When I first came across Heloise it was her playing the harp. My love of the harp goes back many years. When I heard Heloise playing, I was immediately in her thrall. When it comes to playing the harp,it is probably the most difficult instrument to master. When you the fingers dancing over the strings, that is only part of the playing. Please forgive me if I am being presumptive with my next line. Many people forget to see the pedals that a harpist uses to change the timbre of the strings. It must be a magical place to be in the Jenlis house. In recent times Heloise is joined with her sister Mathilde. When ever I see Mathilde playing violin, it is as if she is about to fly up to the clouds. Her enthusiasm with her playing violin, is beautiful to see. I have not forgotten you Axel. Your cello is the base line for your two sisters. All I can say to the three of you is my humble thanks for the beautiful music.

heloise is so clear in every touch to the string, you can hear the way it rings. with the violin, the touch and intonation is even more important. love, david
Absolutely celestial playing, Mademoiselle de Jenlis! I would love to purchase a CD of solo harp music from you, as well as any music the Trio Jenlis put out...hoping that is in the works.
lovely! I can't say for sure whether you got my "request" a while ago, and I generally don't ask, but your trio...have you ever considered the Brahms Trio, Op. 40? I think some of it - not all perhaps - would be a delightful read-through. If you get the B&H score it comes with an alternate viola/cello part I think, and not just the Horn part. My favorite horn recording of Op.40 is the Dennis Brain version, but there are many excellent ( more modern, available) to choose from. Thanks for the wonderful Sunday concert! I loved it when you're all playing 'pizzacato' about 3/4ths into the tune.
