In Yangon, you’re totally safe, most of wars are happening in country sites and ethnic states, I assumes that most of Burmese people can speak in English , mostly among younger generations, if you want to know some like where to go or what to do, feels free to ask me
Im myanmar and i will say yangon has like 90% safety of this war because sometime military does do some things here but is safe tho don't go aside when 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

in yangon rn tommorrow I will go to the naypyitaw. rebels in the northen parts of the country wants to estabilish a new country named after their ethinic group: kachin their capital city and the way to get that dream of becoming a country lies MyitKyina as a person who lives in myitkyina it is still thriving a new shopping centre is being built the rebels don't want to destroy that city they turned their eyes to other minor cities. not to mention that the rebels leaders and goverment leaders are casully on good terms and going out toghter as friends while their soliders are dieing. the rebels also closed roads so let me just put a handsight on how much thing got bad car fuel got up to 13000 MMK u can use a exchanger for that. Thats all I know about the northest state which I live in At this point the rebels can just take the city right now tommorrow anytime they want because there's like only 1 big military base to the city.
I am heartbroken to see the pain, the oppression, the harassment, the loss of our loved ones, the innocent arrests. I want to tell the majority of Burmese people who are ruling and benefiting from this that we, the minority that you call separatists, are actually just protecting our children from rape, from burning down our homes, from being driven out by the Burmese military.

Plenty of well-filmed stuff here, but please note that Yangon is not Myanmar, which is in the throes of a Revolution. You don't seem to have seen much of the 'civil war' you claim to have 'survived'. Come back when you can meet the warmest and most welcoming people in South East Asia across the whole country.
Yagon is just a luxuary jail cell. You can see people living their life normally at daytime. But only lower and middle class people with no strong background know the real silent fear. Esp the enlistment paper aka the death note.

Foreigners may think Myanmar people are honest and kind,. In reality, there is a kind of racism between burmese people and ethnical people. Being ruling people, burmese people are somehow superior to the ethnical people but they are very friendly with the foreigners. Burmese people are jealous of the ethnics that they do not want to give autonomy to the ethnics. They want the ethnics to live under their rule. I wish they would be educated to treat with the ethnics equally.
I see it differently. I feel that some of the other ethnic minorities harbor more resentment toward the Burman majority than the Bamar do toward them, especially the Rakhine people.
