I'd say drop that bitch in for now, because it seems counterintuitive to buy the tranny new *(vs. used)* just to tear into it and build it. At least rock it like that till you decide to up the power in that beast. Either way I'm excited to see what's next!
..well im glad you got the money...my dealership did after market work on my car; lied to Chrysler saying it was warrenty, 2k miles later since getting it back, few days ago, oil pump pressure light came on, towed it to the dealership, they called me yesterday saying they found metal in my oil snd the mechanic is saying thr pump pickup tube is completely destoryed; and one other guy is saying the lower half could be gone and I need a new motor. Long story short. Talkednto the service manager again and he pretty much told mento fuck off they're not taking responsibility for it. And then tried fo persuade me not to get Chrysler involed because "it will void your warranty" so i did get chryslar involed because other managers I know said what they're doing is wrong. So yea...my brand new car not even 30k miles is sitting...in limbo... I will never do modifications to my engine again...and all it was, was a cam. I got the money for a new motor and really to get a new car. But why woukd I do that when I have a NEW car.
You got bit by the bug already! Most of us behind this screen know ur going to build it anyway. So just do it right and hope your content pays u back for it. Im sure im not the only one that lives through on this car shit.
Hi I am from Houston too, can you tell me the place you went to to install your pro charger I have a charger 392 also and wanted to put a pro charger on it
Just look back in the videos. The short answer is 10k but there is a lot more to it than that. Doesn’t need to cost that much depending on what you want. I got it done by Serious HP performance in Houston. I think they’re an ok shop but to be honest I didn’t feel like I was treated the best when I kept having to bring the car back with tube issues. But as far as a good competent shop they are for sure. My current shop is Peitz performance also in Houston. I prefer Peitz but I think both shops are good. Maybe I can sell you my procharger setup when I upgrade lol
Titan looks like a beast with the new lift and wheel set up. Nothing wrong with Titan content ... lots of us run trucks alongside our muscle cars. My set up is a 2018 Silverado 5.3 daily, and 630whp Paxton supercharged 2015 Mustang GT for when I am running late for work. Lol
Hi i have a 2019 Dodge Charger 6.4 with hellcat blower and i want to know if i can put a hellcat transmission. Will it work with all my original cable work or would i have to change that too?
Hit up Peitz performance or Hellraiser performance. They've done the swaps. From what I understand it's VERY easy. Peitz made it sound like it was just unbolt HP70, bolt in HP90, reprogram computer = (hey computer you've got a HP90 now not a 70, oh yeah I know what that is). Boom, no issues. My car honestly drives the exact same as it did with the HP70. If I didn't know better I'd say he didn't even swap it. Seamless. Just hopefully stronger. You do need a different driveshaft as the HP90 is larger thus driveshafter is shorter.
Dude is it just me or is that a big a ass Tarantula spider on your hood near the front air scoop. Go back and watch the video between 3:38- 4:23. Tell me if I’m tripping.
So the missing variable to make the decision for me would be how much money $ to have it built. You're basically 6k into the tranny about 2 and some change to install... how much more would you need to spend to have it built for that extra price of mind. Honestly, itll probably be okay, but price of mind is worth something too. Also consider how much more to have it re-built after it has been installed in the event you do blow it up.
Good point. I'm not 100% sure on the cost to build it. That's another huge variable. The costs I do know of is to remove and replace the trans is just a few hundred. So not a big deal to NOT build it (in terms of risk) other than damage which is pretty unlikely according to my research. Pulling it out again isn't a huge deal. I just can't figure out how much power this magic hellcat trans will actually hold. Keeping in mind my HP70 is doing just fine at 800hp+. But I do like reliability which the building would help, but also hurt in a sense because right now it's 'factory' the trans builder adds another variable since their tolerances and accuracy would vary more then ZF (although it might still always be better I have no idea).
If you can afford it, then have the HP90 trans built before installing. If you install it as is (stock) and you worry/fret about it breaking then it probably will break (self fulfilling prophecy)
If there are build kits that can bulletproof the hp90 and if it doesn’t hurt the pocket too much I’d do. It’s always good to overbuild a project. You won’t have to worry about push the limits
Send your HP70 to Southern Hotrod and let them build a war viking for you. They built my NAG1 war viking transmissiona couple years ago and it's held up great. My car makes over 900 whp and I've put almost 30,000 miles and a lot of 1/4 mile passes on this transmission. Get you money back for the Hellcat trans. Just my opinion...
Build the transmission. Rather be over gunned than under gunned. No problems when you start cranking up the power. Seriously doubt you will stop at 1K ponypower.
The HP90 will be good. A Procharger at 1000hp doesn't hit as hard down low as a a roots or twin screw type of supercharger. You are also foot braking it compared to Hellcat guys using a trans brake. I say use it as it.
I'm gathering the parts to do the hp90 swap myself. Found a good used hellcat transmission with driveshaft, crossmember, brackets, and park release cable. Did you go with the hellraiser swap software then have it tuned from there? Any issues with codes or shifting problems or did their software take care of all of that?
True. But now many of them actually drive them, and how many are the heavy Charger boat variant? Remember my race weight was 4800lbs. Although if I never put it on a tire it'll never matter anyway lol.
May as well get the transmission built. You're going to do upgrades occasionally. No need in spending money twice on the same thing if you don't have to. Why wait for it to a break?
There were guys running stock NAG1's to 1000hp and they are only rated for a little over 400lbft (even putting them behind 392's making more torque than their ratings), the hp90 is 664lbft, I think in both cases the power ratings are extremely conservative. The 90 could be double its rating for all anyone knows.
You already know what you should do and that's build the trans before you put it in the car. That way you turn the power up and get the most out of the motor. Sale the trans you have in the car to cut the cost on the build. Not saying you don't have the money but why not sale it if your not going to use it anymore. Just think how cool it would be to have a 9 second sheet car!
Was talking about the new transmission. He said he paid over $5k for the new hellcat transmission. If he is going to boost the car up to 1000 hp I would have the new one sent directly to the shop for an upgrade. He states that he doesn't want to put a cage in the car which brings about another series of problems. I've been going through similar situations and the money adds up fast. I like the idea of not using the car as a daily driver keeping the mileage down. I would like to see that car running 9.50's or better.
Tim Connell it’ll definitely run that, or better but my bad brother, yeah he definitely needs to build the transmission to take the beating and not using a 1000hp car as a daily should be a must.
I need to price out the full cost of building the trans. I've never had a hellcat trans to use as a core before. At that it's a brand new trans. So they probably won't have to change parts they otherwise would which might reduce the cost? Who knows. But all the aspects of pricing I've researched have been based on me having an HP70 and having to pay the core fee. But if I wasn't going to build it I wasn't going to waste my time because I can't make any decision without over researching it these days so if it doesn't matter I don't want to even look at the costs. But it sounds like I should at least figure that out. I might be able to save a bunch of cash if I end up building it anyway.
Advanced Aspirations there’s a possibility the electronics won’t let the swap happen (limp mode) due to different gear ratios the computers will see between the components...might have to use everything out of a cat for it to work, all the down to the last wiring harness
Pretty often... Sometimes I drive it a lot sometimes I don't. But in general these days I don't. But with that being said I want it to be drivable. I hate having compromises.
That stock hp90 is good for over 1000hp. Can’t remember if you still have the stock getrag and axles, if so, that would be the next upgrade I would do.
Just put a real nice clutch and b throw out bearing, along with a clutch blanket to protect yourself with a nice shifter .and start having fun with it💯👓👍

Nunya Biznax there’s nothing unique about another hellcat , especially with the extra insurance premium. My quote was 600$ more per year. He’s probably right around the same cost as a cat , but he’ll be making more power and it’s a build worth talking about. My .02

Don’t waste your money beefing up the hp90. There’s Hellcat’s well into 9’s on stock transmissions(900-1000whp). I would spend the extra cash on axels/driveshaft/demon springs
I think core charges are garbage I mean u payed for it already and about to pay for another why give one up for one you are paying for. Should do away with core charges

WOW, that is awesome. I would definitely "beef" it up before you put it in... Now is the time to do it! You have a ton of $ and time invested in this beast, a "stronger than stock" Hellcat transmission is just what that motor needs!

Great 👍🏻 content! I think you should throw the HP90 in your super charger 🤪 this way you can have your other transmission sent off later for a power build. I would love to then see you destroying every challenger and vett and anything else’s you see while in “Mexico” 🇲🇽
dying to see some performance videos from you. i know your waiting for the trans 1st to avoid breaking anything but man im excited for you. would love to see your car in person
Should’ve just bought a HC to begin with.
Nunya Biznax Fr doing extra
Pay 25k more for the car so I can have the 5,000 transmission? No thanks.
@@DadMods Haven't you spent more in total on the engine swap, pro charger, and other upgrades to get roughly the same RWHP that you could've gotten from a stock HC? Don't get me wrong I like the channel just asking a serious question.
Nunya Biznax there’s nothing unique about another hellcat , especially with the extra insurance premium. My quote was 600$ more per year. He’s probably right around the same cost as a cat , but he’ll be making more power and it’s a build worth talking about. My .02
@@ronan9784 There is something unique about the hellcat compared to his modded out scatpack, resale value.
I find it weird to have a new car that sounds like that
Does anyone here know if ‘GB Reviews Everything’ on youtube is related to 'Hqen2000'? I swear you guys are related somehow. You sound and look almost exactly like each other. Someone please answer me!!
Don’t waste your money beefing up the hp90. There’s Hellcat’s well into 9’s on stock transmissions(900-1000whp). I would spend the extra cash on axels/driveshaft/demon springs
SupraStringing11b agreed, having it rebuilt will probably make it worse especially if it’s not built by someone that builds ZF’s daily
Go stock hellcat tran people putting smaller pulley belts and getting damn there 1000hp with running a stock tran
I think core charges are garbage I mean u payed for it already and about to pay for another why give one up for one you are paying for. Should do away with core charges
Nice swap will u be going to wam2020
What’s that?
@@DadMods do u have a instagram
Hqen2000 mopar meet, big one
It's at Texas MotorSpeedway in March 2020 8 months away
yes in the description. @hqen2000
So Is Your Car Worth Over 100k?😂
? I don’t get it.
Hqen2000 With The Mods And New Engine You Did With Your And Now Putting A 50k Trans, Your Car Is Going To Be Worth Around 100k But Dealer Would Price It As A Used 2018 Hellcat Which Will Be Around 60 - 70k
WOW, that is awesome. I would definitely "beef" it up before you put it in... Now is the time to do it! You have a ton of $ and time invested in this beast, a "stronger than stock" Hellcat transmission is just what that motor needs!
Lol you should of just bought a hellcat ....... at the end of the day that’s still just a scat pack
Funny and how many hellcats making his power 🤣. I’ll wait cause I eat hellcats all the time in my “scat pack” …. Built not bought lot more fun than a cookie cutter kitty
At this point just buy a hellcat 😂
HP90 is good to a 1000! I would do that and put money into the truck!
