The dOhm wasn't at full volume. You can swizzle the side to make it louder. I can see that she has it on the lowest setting for that. Having watched other reviews though it seems the Lectrofan still has a louder max volume though.

Been getting no sleep this year as my neighbour has decided she wants each household round once a week (7 households, all have kids), and will be up till midnight, 1am, 3am making noise, or up at 7am the next day, and then they don't stop during the day. I've been on about 5 hours sleep each night for a month.

@@rifleman542 You can vary that quite a bit depending on where you place it. If you place it at the opposite of the room it's not nearly as loud as you hear it in this video. You can also place it in a closet and partially open or close the closet door to where you get the amount of sound just perfect.
Does it remember where you left off the night before? So if I pick 4 settings in and mid volume will it start there again the next night or do I have to set it every night?
thanks for the comparison. i have the dohm and i like it but in my new apt it can't drown out the heavy traffic from the street. i might get the lectrofan though the rain videos on youtube do a pretty good job but moving the laptop can be a pain and it might wear the battery down if i use a cell phone. i wonder why they don't include some rain or beach sounds with these fan and white noise. i have a homedic that has the nature sounds.
daveheel I know it's been a bit since your comment but I found out there's a LectroFan Jr that's meant for children. I believe it has nature sounds, but I'm not quite sure. I know it has melodies at the least. For me, it's a positive thing that this only has white noise and similar sounds.
I don't have pets, but there are so many options with lectrofan that I'm sure you can find one your pet will be okay with. The white noise sounds a lot like a fan.

You would want a quiet setting when your loved one doesn't have problems sleeping and doesn't want the truck sound in his ear while he sleeps.
