I play piano, clarinet, drums percussion, and violin and cello.....but my greatest gift is my voice...................so much feelings....................hummmm?
Maestro Mintz, would you mind to proivde also the other recordings of this evening? 🙂 I was in the audience, at this time, I was a student of music at University of Music Vienna. This was the reopening concert of the Ronnacher Theatre in Vienna after renovation. At least you also played Carmen Phantasy... 😀 Thank you!
@@ShlomoMintz Thank you, Maestro Mintz, for your reply. Meanwhile I was able to find the whole concert in youtube (although with less good sound quality), with additional soloists Barbara Hendricks, Cheryl Studer, and Paul Gulda. As it is not clear for me, whether or not linking this vid would be comfortable for you, I'll send you the link to it to your youtube channel e-mail address (with asking the agency to forward). Maestro Mehta was a little bit surprised of your breakneck fast tempo in the finale of Carmen Phantasy, as can be seen in his facial expression. ;-)
Shlomo Mintz has a nice sound... If he only knew that it is a Viennese Waltz then it would be a great performance. But he played these as some kind of "Dumkas"...
No, the title is “ Liebesleid “ which means “Love Sorry” or “Love Pain” . If think the meaning of this tune is: You are deeply in love with somebody, but you are not sure if the feeling is mutual . OK that’s my thinking and I don’t think this interpretation really reflects that. I prefer a “softer” version. Check out the version by Kerson Leong. By the way, this tune is technically very easy to play, but to play it beautiful with a lot of soul, that is difficult . In my opinion that is the strength of Kerson’s interpretation.
God, Liebesfreud was shockingly bad, sloppy technically and maudlin with ugly hacking sound. Sorry, Kriesler! And in Liebeslied, he doesn't play the double dotted rythym, but no one ever does. No one. It ruins the Viennese flavor, and it is a complete mystery why no one ever plays it correctly.
Hey random RUclips commenter, care to show how it should be done? Being randomly mean doesn’t really do much. This is a fine interpretation from a master, while there can be differences in taste for a live interpretation and even unintended mistakes; calling it sloppy and ugly is just trying to show off your apparent “refined” sense of music as trying to be hurtful to someone who spent hours and years to perform at this level.
Gorgeous , loving , colors that can be only made in music by a few. What natural timing ! Brilliant .
Formidable interprétation,pleine de sensibilité ‼️😃👍🏼
Sweetness itself! Kriesler must be saying, as i do, "Bravo, maestro!"
Kreisler!
Wunderschön! Klingt so nach Sehnsucht, Schmerz und viel Gefühl!
Bonheur total grâce à la magnifique interprétation de Schlomo Mintz..merci..
Extremely well played

Amanzing Bravo Maestro!!!!!

Wonderful
bravo Maestro!
I first heard him play this in the late 1980s, in Amsterdam, when he was really young. This pales into insignificance
Best Violinist in the World! and best Violin Strad and best Vibrator!
Very disappointed...the best performer is Kreisler himself.
@@icebaby6714: Try this more recent performance by María Dueñas. I love it! 😎🎹

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately we don't have more videos of that concert.

I think the conductor name in the description is wrong.
Zubin Metha, he is the conductor, one of the greatest conductors of all time !!
@@isaacaizenman3040 Mehta, not Metha. It's an Indian "eh", not an English "th".

Shouldn't the title be "Liebeslied" (love song) instead of "Liebesleid"?
