@l33 Lee, thanks for doing this one. I promised you it was a great one and well worth the 28 minutes- it looks like you loved it 😎 I must have seen this thousand times and it still flies bye Outstanding musicians playing classic music and having a great time doing it! Glad it was a fun ride my friend ✌️
Thank you for this my friend. Was an amazing ride. I love Frank’s music so seeing his son carry on his mantle basically is heartwarming and absolutely enriching
Zappa was, as you said, one of the greatest composers of the 20´s century, and the skill of the musicians that perform his music just have to be outstading. I had the privilige to see Zappa and the Mothers twice and it was absolutely fantastic - a musical adventure.
I hope to get Beat tickets. Two Zappa graduates, the drummer of Tool & Tony Levin. 4 professionals doing 81-84 King Crimson. Vai & Belew are national treasures.
Well said Lee! Zappa’s been #1with me since I was 15 (1973) I’m glad there’s kids and younger adults closer to your age who appreciate his music. I never saw this clip before. What a live banger of a beast it is! Thanks and have a great weekend.
I’ve known Zappa had a son named Dweezil for years, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen him. What an ensemble he created! All the duels were neat. “Improv” is an understatement! It was fun watching Lee follow the drum solos. 😃Almost lost his headphones. Lol What a great performance! You’re right! I think Frank would be happy. It was a great reaction, Lee, the way you share your joy in the music with everyone. I think your Dad would be happy and shining down on you, too. Thank you, FD!
I was lucky enough to be at this performance on the first ZPZ tour, it was phenomenal. Saw them in Denver and Seattle, and was able to chat with Dweezil a moment at a sound check. He and the whole band were very gracious. Thanks a ton for the reaction, Lee.
Imagine him like Gen Grievous w 4 arms, Hit me slinging those drumsticks like lightsabers all over the place. 😮😮 what a ride! Thank you this is a first for me.
I cannot really express in words how happy I am that Dweezil is finally touring again. Going to my 4th show September 1st. That said, this performance has become a somewhat of a staple for me. Great request, great reaction Lee. I’m thrilled you dig Zappa and I love Frank Fridays!
I saw Frank many times and in this performance he lives. This music spawns this kind of musicianship. Holy shit Batman. How can his brilliance not engender more people to produce more recognition of his genius, a word used for musicians and composers that is WAY over used. But here it is.

This is a monster! this will be so cool you are in for a treat.
Don’t stop at the drum solos
Go All In
Steve Vai and Dweezil! You can't go wrong with that!
Dweezil is touring now. You oughta see him, great show. Got tickets for my area in August.

I always loved this performance! I just saw Steve Vai over the spring and am seeing Dweezil in August!
That is awesome!! Have a great time (I know you will lol)
taking my daughter to see Dweeze in August as well, enjoy the show! It'll be my 5th time seeing ZPZ I believe.
@@L33Reactsthanks! Yeah it should be a blast! Also for a Zappa suggestion I would say Cocaine decisions from the Halloween 81 performance.

I’m glad you enjoyed my friend! I miss you on patreon haha hope you are doing well
Ive seen every zpz tour including this one
Cant wait for fall for Roxpostrophe
If you get a chance go see DZ and his band
Sheee, Frank would watch this performance with one eyebrow raised with awe and eyes sparkling
That was insane!! 😳
Guitar madness, drum barrages, sax appeal, nice path through 30-odd minutes.
Such a great version of a superb track. Love it.
Vai's "FLO" guitar has a Fernandes Sustainer in it (which allows the long notes).
Dweezil can summon so many people from his father's time telling you what a nice and influential guy he is

“Zombie Wolf” from that same show is a scorcher! Vai plays out of his head!
This was...WONDERFUL!
Zomby Woof from this show has one of Steve Vai's best solo's ever. And Black Page is pretty cool also.

Yes Lee, I knew you would be surprised!
Surprised ? I was gobsmscked! lol
Thanks Lee, that was really special and fun
I have to comment because I couldnt take my eyes off these guys to comment in the chat. This was insanely awesome .. speechless.
Right?? Absolutely incredible. What a performance
Steve was Dweezel's first guitar teacher.
Extraordinaire ! Vive FZ et vive Dweezil !
The first rap song ever.
Truly one of the best of his era? (Bozzio) You don't mean his time has passed do you?
Stevie Vai white guitar
This is why i say i have a favorite instead of saying someone is the Best. Cause there are some on that stage that could make that claim
That’s very true Gary. Favorite is a better term lol
