please do paint patroller🙏
Please do
Unpluckable
Versatile visionary please
paint patroller video please!
I think this actually is the correct way the game should be set up. In reality, great blockers don’t mean great defender. Like Whiteside, young McGee etc. I think this actual makes you have to play “positional defense” instead of solely relying on block rating to save your day. Of course, this doesn’t make sense in this game “visually”, but I think this is the right basketball logic.
Solid points
@@nba2ktutes right. In real life when we play basketball, if you play your position defensively and body up (having high per. D)prior to the shot, you will be amazed how difficult it is for the jump shooter to make the shot. This I think this is well translated to the game this year.
Very well said, I know I have 97 block and 88 interior defense on my 7’1 Center and I give so many people problems because I have HOF High Fly Denier it’s fun lol 😂
@@Gregory8412my 6’10 , lowest weight . have high flyer gold and paint patroller on good (max+1).
With 88 blocking . It’s great to use
McGee was a bad example considering he is one of the perimeter defenders at the center position lol but i get your point block and perimeter defense is different i agree
This is the first 2k where theres a difference between shit blockers and rim protectors
Shit blockers😂
We need the threshold ratings for the block animations. I would much rather take a person out of an animation than actually block the ball and it goes out of bounds. With a more aggressive jump I would assume we would make more contact and be able to use our interior rating to get a better contest and or take them out of the animation.
We need to see interior vs block vs paint patroller badge.
Thanks for the suggestion! It's on the radar
Hold y button for blocks instead of tap it. Makes big difference. It saved me lol.
These videos are great but i’d prefer if you’d test 70-80-90 ratings not just 99 to be more realistic to my careers players
Yeah I have a 6’8 center with low perimeter last year but high block and steals. This year is literally impossible to make the same build plus every attribute matters in this game so far.
@@jstar0737 last year I had one too lol 58 perimeter but 95 strength
Paint patroller next please 🙏🏽
Thanks for the suggestion! It's on the radar
I need this. Don't know if used the Cap Brakers for HoF Paint Patroller and Rebound Chaser or go full Rebound Chaser Legend
@@nba2ktutes Pretty sure its just intimidator. Will force layup animations as opposed to dunks to make them more blockable.
@@anthonygomez9918 rebound chaser for this current meta is it! paint patroller is good but unless you also have high flying denier on gold ur still just not gonna be able to catch the rim runners. just based on my experience, you may have a different setup for your runs.
@goonerinit I'm using +1 Badge for High Flying on HoF. That's why I'm debating if also having Paint Patroller on HoF with Rebound Chaser on HoF or Rebound Chaser on Legend 😅. I'm nearly Starter 1 so there's still time to see if they nerf or buff something
Had multiple 3+ BLK games with a 78 on my center lol
I'm getting 2 steals with 25, I honestly think I could get 3 blocks with 60 block
Height and wingspan on player?
@@MrLiveness 7’ 7’8
Im a 6’6 SG with 60 interior and 74 block with bronze blocking badges and 70 vert. I do get blocks and even grab blocks sometimes. But most of the times it results in really great contest.
Physical finisher next please. Want to see contact layup consistency.
That's done
For Centers that want to be an interior DEFENDER as a big part of their game, 85 D and 84 block are the minimums. I’ve already made multiple centers with all kinds of levels, and badges. The best defender I have is an equal mix of the two stats, more so than the badges you get. If you can only afford one or the other, interior will be the better attribute for you to get more stops.
I'm assuming you meant you created in the builder and tested in the builder multiple centers... Otherwise how would you have the time to upgrade and grind badges for all of them?
@@durapokerhe been on the game since it came out lol
I agree. I made a 7 footer with a 7’3” wingspan with an 87 Int D and 87 Block and I get about 2 blocks a game and I contest pretty good as long as I keep a player out of the restricted area
@@TayTopDon how about in the future you let ppl speak for themselves considering you don't know anything about him and what i commented.
i always felt like interior defense may have mattered a little more than block lol. i’d rather contest a shot than chance getting a block
Tutes working overtime for us 🙏🏽
Day 5 asking for dimer
bruh nobody cares about dimer fam smh lol
Way more important badges than dimer
Day 200 asking Oprah on a date. Some things in life, you have to be patient for
The village idiots are here guys. Look! 👀 What are the 2 biggest complains from the community right now? Missing shots and lane steals. You know what helps with those problems? Pass acc AND DIMER. But keep complaining about things without working on figuring out a solution. People like yall are the problem.
@@las2go hope you get the date if thats what you’re into mate. No judgment here.
Oh yea tutes back again
That’s a wild pic u got up there of my goat but aye I fw the vid i appreciate you for being for the people bro
It’s not just the strength it it’s the arm length. A lot of players sacrifice arm length for shooting. This affects your ability to defend the paint.
Nah the paint d is trash
i disagree 96 block with 95 vert goated
@@TealJaguarbro who the fk is putting vert and block in the 90s?
@@sixnine9048 me, and i average 4 blocks a game. does wonders.
@@sixnine9048a rim protector?
You wont see 2k content creators talking about this cuz ut doesn’t benefit their play style…..
Good stuff, How about vid about height, rebound chaser vertical and strength. Also offensive o boards are a little crazy this season
6"9 80 spd, 83 vert 82 interior, 88 block gonna cap it to 93, my build counters small ball and lets me play helpside so ye block is quite perfect on something like this.
I have been testing a 6'3 build with 60 blocks, without a chase down artist, I played around 30 3x3 games in the test game, not being able to block even once while being side by side with the opponent. However, when I put 60 on the inside, together with 60 on the block, I started to block, being side by side with the opponent.
I have high perimeter defense and gets an hand up but the game still says open... THE CONTEST SYSTEM IS BROKEN
I say the same thing it’s annoying . But based of this video it seems that having block helps with the contests . Interesting
I need a statistic on the Challenger badge cuz if Mike decides to buff shooting i wanna know its before and after effects
I don't understand how the same animation can give them and 'Open' shot, but then also give them a 'Smothered' that's just ridiculous. They've gotta figure out a way to change that, maybe different animations or smaller jumps for a bad perimeter defender? Idk but to me that's ridiculous. His contesting hand was in the exact same spot! 😆 such a wierd one
Vertical to dunks/layups/rebounds; do they get better animations?
I put 68 for bronze high flying denier on my 6’4 purely for the occasional chance I have to chase down a cherry picker so I have that however low chance to at least do something, plus it was dirt cheap and I didn’t have to sacrifice anything
Anytime I see “best build” I gotta 😂
Great videos keep going 🔥
Thanks for the support!
I can get blocks when just playing hands up on drives. If im strong enough to stay in position. It’s more important to have a balance in every defensive stat then to have one outlier.
It just makes bigs spend more points in spots that guards just don’t have to.. it’s really unfair. Even with high block/interior it still doesn’t help stop simple layups
Great info not locked behind a paywall
My theory is you don’t need anything above a 88 perm or interior , not even for the badges but ONLY if you know how to play great defense , if you don’t , you might want to up some
Shot blocking is very fun in this game
can you do a vid on why we miss wide open layups🤣
I will never put block on another build, half the time a block just gets scooped up for another open shot. id rather just max my interior and perim d and be an elite rebounder and shot contester. 2k25 is the most fun ive had in years, thanks tutes
The same thing is happening with my 92 steal. Get it strip and the end up back with the damn ball, lmao. The best defense is bump steals. 💀
Can you please test out the posterior badge, wanna know if I want gold or if it's worth to go for hof
I have a 6’6 all around pf and I’ve got silver anchor and I get snatch blocks pretty often. Honestly the build itself is kinda wild but you don’t need anything above silver.
Unpluckable. 93 block has been very good for me with gold paint patroller
interested in seeing a post move lockdown badge test for years i swear that badge was useless on my inside
Its is i have it on gold and i get post spin drop step and backed down every play it literally does nothing vs post scorers
90 int and 84 block has been more than enough for my inside big
What height?

2K needs to hire this man
They gotta fix shot contest. I understand perimeter defense and stuff should matter and it 10000% should but if we wanna be “realistic” like everyone keeps saying then a contest should be a contest. That 25 per defense contest should be a tight just like the 99.
Blocks work. Im running around screens and still catching my man for a chasedown.
you might need to dive into badges and badge levels so people know where to put their +1 for badges (im lvlv 36 of the season close to my perm badge upgrade). The blocks MIGHT be more dependent on the badges everyone like this up so tutes can see it
Always useful keep them coming!
I have 63 guard with a 68 block and with timing it lets you get good block animations on driving animations
Tutes where is a good place to practice ur shot? Rec? Mycourt? Gatorade area? Whats gonna give me the same feel for rec and pro am??
Literally get light pressure most of the time in the paint if it’s not a block lol smh
If you’re a big you better have block and interior
Close shots + real player percentage = OP
Thank you for clearing this up
I like it, if block affected contest then it would make ID useless and vice versa.
My center out there doing volleyball spikes 😂 93 block 88 interior 85 vertical 7’0 max wingspan
I think if block had an added bonus of contest when paired with a certain level pf perimeter d since at 7ft i can't get chalenger, that would be good.
Completely missing the factors of paint patroller badge which requires both block and interior
Same test on stand still post shots could help us bigz
Could you do one to test which is more effective, standing dunk or close shot?
Can you do Posterizers with and without strength to see how often youll fail meter dunks with high driving dunk and high strength vs low strength
I have a 6"5 guard with 62 block and I get Chase downs and blocks at the rim only if I'm in good position. 90 vert and 82 interior 62 block 85 speed. I feel like the speed and vert is getting me in position.
Strength versus interior defense
“Con TEST!” Come on, you can do it.
2k players is is notorious for ignoring strength. I’m sure strength is tied to block. A lot of these badges don’t work in isolation but are dependent on other ratings
It's actually speed and agility. You cannot get high flying denier without a certain speed and agility.
It's not really tied to block but it definitely helps on interior contests. I have a 6'2 3 and D mini lock with 65 interior and 93 strength but only like 52 block (minimum allowed) That's good enough for legend immovable enforcer but I haven't got it there yet but from silver through hall of fame so far if I'm riding the player's hip all the way to the hoop and I play right stick defense I have gotten a lot of great animations for contests, strips, and blocks. But if you're not on their hip when they start to go up you won't get any animation since you're not in body contact with them.
@collenrivers9762 that's cheesy bro all them little guys shouldn't be able to get 93 strength shits crazy and then they still be fast asf and get all the badges being a 7 footer should mean something even if the the strength isn't maxed bc now everyone just building cheesy 6'7 centers bro it's so goofy that It even works
@@collenrivers9762 being tied to block mean it’s correlated. It helps. Thats all I was tryn say. None of these ratings or badges work in isolation ..they stack
@@xXXdaniel210xXx nah dude I promise short centers aren't the wave this year like they were last year. Being 7ft is definitely more valuable than being 6'7 and fast. (In 5s) Because if you're a 6'7 going against a 7'1 pure inside you're gonna be in hell all game grabbing no boards and just getting mashed on all game
Is there a sweet spot where animations start to kick in?
I get these with just a 68 block and bronze flying denier badge
can you find at what rating new animations are available. like you did for rebounds
Please look at the physical finisher and layup mixmaster badge
The goat fr 🐐
Thanks for the support!
All the badges and attributes work this year and that’s awesome but we can’t use enough overall points. At least when we could cheese the game with low attributes they were still functional. Now you try to make an all around build and it’s just a**
Can you test brick wall
84 block and 85 vert is wild
Can you do The difference between Bronze to legend Hustle Rebounder
Great video bro!
What was the offensive players driving dunk, and what was the defenders wingspan in the test? I'm curious how long my arms need to be to chase down these driving PGs at the rim.
Pls Test the 6‘2 height against contest so we can see if the drop is between 6‘1 and 6‘2 or 6‘2 and 6‘3 thank you! 🙏🏼
We need a height and inside D vs scoring badges my 6/10 be getting babied
What's your defensive stats and wingspan bro? I was planning to make a 6'8 center lol
@@MrLiveness I’m at work rn I’d have to wait till later to lyk but if you do make a 6-8 def get high inside if you plan on playing 2s
Paint Patroller badge next!
Posterizer & shifty shooter please
Limitless range test plz
Wow I wasted Mmmy money on 99 block low interior
How important is vertical for rebound? Please test that
We need to see challenger badge.
That shit is ass
man you gotta have a good vert to really block good thats why i got my block on 88 my interior on 77 and vert 85 for my 6'10 sf and i be throwing shit
Bro🤦🏼♂️ did you not just watch the video, he said all you need was block and he proved all you need was block for the animations. I swear yall will say anything.
What should you get for paint patroller and high flying denier? Sliver, Gold, or HOF?
Gold paint patroller
Difference between plus 1 badge and actual attribute level
Tutes i messed my first build up man 😔 I put higher block than interior because block rating is tied to the paint patroller badge and I only have 70 vertical when I could've had 85
What about the paint pattroller badge? Does it change to much from silver to gold?
Thanks for the suggestion! It's on the radar
I gotta 88 block and lock everything down in the paint lol with bronze pogo …you have to know how to be in position
I need opinions: right now I have an 84 interior defense and a 93 block, with my cap breakers I could potentially get my block to a 97 for the hof rim protector then up it with the plus 1 upgrade for the legend badge. This sounds good, my only issue is I feel like I don’t get good contest like I should bc of my low interior.
Is legend rim protector a better percentage jump for contesting down low than if I were to up my interior to an 89?
Thats why my 82 interior 94 block dude gets yammed on
Need 88+ interior
i got a 74 interior on a 6'9 260 and get bullied constantly
Hey tutes, i know you told me shifty shooter and limitless range are not high on the priority list. I‘m gonna ask anyways also for engagement for u. Can you please test them :D
PLEASE TEST LEGEND REBOUND CHASER VS HALL OF FAME VS GOLD VS SILVER VS BRONZE
Do you think 88 interior with 78 block w 91 strength is viable on a 6’6 pf?
Thank you
It’s a weird one but I’m trying to figure out how to get those animations where the center knocks the dunker out of the dunking animation. Is it related to block, interior or is it stick defense.
Ain’t just centers, a Fkn guard broke my standing dunk on my big.
Layups need to be punish more way to many bad attempts going in
So what's the perimeter d attribute sweet spot?
How does paint patroller play into this though?
