    Thanks for the webinar! The first half was great but the Q&A is hard to follow without visuals to understand more clearly what's being referenced.

    can we make it mandatory for the approver to complete a specific field prior to approval?

    • @Jotform
      @Jotform  2 года назад

      Hi Prince, Approval element has an "Allow Comment" option that is enabled and required by default. This is where Approvers enter their comments before they can approve or reject requests. If you want it to be a specific field, it is possible to edit the submission, fill out a specific field then resubmit the form before approval. Unfortunately, this can't be made mandatory. Anyway, we have also escalated your request to our dev team via our Support System. Here's the request ticket www.jotform.com/answers/3464082. Once this is implemented, we'll let you know.

    Can I approve certain sections of the form rather than approving the entire form on jotform? I am creating a registration form for my students and want to be able to approve or deny certain classes rather than the entire form. Is this possible with jotform?

      Hello Lindsey,
      It is possible to show only certain sections of forms to the submitter through conditions if that's what you're trying to achieve. Here's a guide: www.jotform.com/help/316-How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer. However, keep in mind that approval is a post-process, you can only approve submissions after the entire form is submitted or after another approval process. We can recommend a workaround by customizing the email notification of the specific approver so you can only show information you want the approver to see when they receive the email. Check this guide: www.jotform.com/help/1414-how-to-set-up-an-approval-element-in-jotform-approvals/. Or, you can create a separate form and use it for a specific approver using the Form element.

    Does the inbox section allows to upload attachments? .. For example, our form is for equipment maintenance, in order for it to be "completed" we need the evidence(picture or document) in prder for the manager to "approve/complet" the form. is it possible?

      You can only upload attachments within the form when you edit the submission on Inbox. To do that, you must add a File Upload field in your form. Guide: www.jotform.com/help/332-how-to-create-file-upload-forms/. Then you can create a condition that shows the file upload field only on edit mode. Guide: www.jotform.com/help/389-how-to-show-or-hide-fields-on-edit-url/. Please contact us at www.jotform.com/contact/ if you need further assistance.

    Can the approver sign on the actual form and can that signature field visible for the approver only?

    • @Jotform
      @Jotform  3 года назад

      Hi Boby, Approvers can only leave comments upon their approval. There's currently no feature to sign them on the approval/inbox page. The workaround is to add a Signature field to your form then hide it (example: link.jotform.com/EA50iAdCyQ). Then in every submissions you received, you can update them and write your signature before proceeding to approval (example: link.jotform.com/BZfimFal67). If you don't want respondents to see your signature, you can remove the signature field in the approved/denied emails (example: link.jotform.com/MbtRPOIlbq). I have also escalated this as a feature request in our support channel here www.jotform.com/answers/3143435. Once this is implemented, we'll inform you here. Please contact us at www.jotform.com/contact/ if you need further assistance.

      @Boby, Approvers can now approve with Signature by simply dragging the Approve & Sign element into your flow. The signature and comments are only visible for the approver by default but they can also be added to emails if you like. You can also check this request ticket www.jotform.com/answers/3143435 to learn more. Regards!

      @@Jotform What I assume is still missing is the ability to approve and sign AND have the signature land on a form (versus only in a table) - and, (hopefully one day) with more than one signature from the newer "approval workflow" process "onto" the form itself - When I checked last December, seemed this still was not yet possible. :(
