Awesome video. This project came out beautifully. Love the aesthetic on this one. For the body, I'd recommend giving resin printing from PCBWay (or other places like JLCPCB) a go. I've been really impressed with the quality and price point. I use FDM for prototyping, but I've switched over to ordering resin prints for my final builds. It saves me so much effort on finishing, and the results are great. This build came out amazing, but this may save you a ton of time and pain for future builds 😀 Anyway, keep up the great videos. Looking forward to more!
@@EvenTheDogAgreesi doubt, based on my work with epoxy. You have to drill undersize then tap them. But I don’t know how easy it would be to perform at that small scale.
I'm incredibly impressed by your videos and the cool things you build! If you keep this up I foresee a bright future for you on RUclips :P And please do, because I wanna see more projects!
Man this is the perfect DIY video. The photography, the quality and quantity of point of view, good timing of shots, music. Really enjoyable. The same for the product, the result looks amazing ! 🥹
Salim this is seriously impressive on all levels. The build quality, electrical engineering and design, the sound scape, the editing, everything! Blown away and inspired man keep it up! 11/10
Really awesome project, @salimbenbouz ! Question about the pcbs -- do you also have a gerber where you've panelized the pcbs? It looks like pcbway and other fab houses will only help with panelizing the same design and I'd like to order up a set similar to how you had yours laid out. Thanks again for the sharing your work!
wow man, i just watched your 3d knob video, and i thought "he surely has at least has 1 mil subs if not more and lots of vids this video quality and editing is exceptional" only to to see 3 vids and only 28k subs. man you are the definition of underrated. i loved both videos now going to watch the third. keep up this beautiful work 👍👍🧠

god dayum that's so cool and very well made. Love it. Also very envious of having a "local maker space" haha, my room has no room left for anything and a home lab was one of my dreams, for now i have all my stuff (as well as the dream) in a drawer
Awesome video ! I just discover your channel and I'm so impressed by the quality ! Thanks to you I discover L'espace Maker place in Montreal, it's so cool. Is there a community in Montreal or something to join to talk and share this kind of 3d print and creative projects ?
Thanks! I'm glad you found l'Espace Maker! I'm not aware of any local communities personally but if you became a member at the Maker Space you can use the 3D printing shop, attend events and workshops. @fbujold François is in charge of the intros courses is that department, very knowledgable and very helpful!
You might want to consider printing parts in a non-matte filament if you are going to paint them anyways. Matte filament tends to have less strong layer adhesion than non-matte types from what I saw in a CNC Kitchen video. Printing at higher temperatures also helps with making stronger parts. E.g. 230C for PLA
Montreal metro!! didn't expect that! I'm gonna have to check out that maker space! Did you know the BAnQ also has a free fab lab ? maybe not as complete but worth checking out anyway just found your channel. been watching a few videos, great content, great projects!
Awesome DIY, great job ! The UPS can output 5V 2.5A, it seems a little bit light for both the screen (5V 2A) and the Pi (5V 2.5A). Don’t you have flickering on under power issue with this setup ?
Assuming this is about learning electronics. I’m still doing it my self. You can try beginners projects on Instructables and sites with step by step instructions and learn things as you go. There is a lot of resources just gotta start somewhere
Looking forward to more great content from you. Love everything about both of your videos. Your format is seriously top notch. I would definitely watch more in depth videos if you made them though. Inspiring me to learn about PCB design.
This projecf is awesome, the video is excellent, and your channel deserves to grow like a weed! Just wondering do you happen to have a background in engineering?
wow, this is absolutely incredible. The filming, editing, product design, and electrical engineering you displayed in this video really speaks to the skill you got under your belt. Very inspired! Thank you for making this.
The case looks really nice after the work you put in. You use PCB way for custom boards as a progression from hand made to a more refined product. Maybe for another project you could see the 3d printing as stage one and when the design works you could also have that send off to be printed with something like shapeways?
Thanks! Yes, that could work as well. @pcbway offers 3D printing, CNC and a lot of manufacturing services. They could have done all the entire production and I can assemble on my side, but as you said I need to be sure that my design works first and when I need to produce more then one.
Hey i have question about the headphone jack and how you have it wired? Is the purple wire connected to the switch leg of the headphone jack that switch between the headphone and speaker.
NO?! It's not perfect? Are you kidding? It's GLORIOUS! Your level of engineering is incredible and I can't get enough of it! All I could think of when I saw this little masterpiece is it's something Ripley would have used on Aliens as a travel computer! Weyland Tech certified! Amazing work! Thank you for being inspiring!
Impressive work! Stumbled upon your video by sheer serendipity and had to watch until the end, it's so satisfying 🤩 Can't wait to see what you'll came up with next 👀
amazing content and production... went to sub and noticed 5k followers and was shocked.. you will be there in no time with this type of quality. keep up the great work!
Amazing build and great video. The only feedback that I would give is the editing of this video. The places where you spliced the videos audio was distracting. I thought I had issues with my wife or my computer because if you said the word “the”, it would cut the “t” off. I’ve seen another person have this as well and not sure why this is happening. Maybe it’s the millennial pause over correction
@@salimbenbouz wow, I was amazed with a reply but keep up the great work. I just found your channel a few weeks ago and have already ordered all the pieces for the macro pad! I just need to put it together now. Can't wait to see the other cool projects you get up to.
Very reminiscent of the work of @limoneworkshop. You have a similar eye for design and internal bracing that makes all of Limone's projects so wonderful. This is an enclosure to be proud of.

Hey Thanks a lot!
Agreed, I will try that next time 100%. It's cool to finish projects by hand but it gets old and tedious very quickly 😂
The man even has proper closed captions. Not that automated crap. Lol
Do the threaded inserts work with resin? Because he used them a lot in this project.
