@@tehfeezsadik8700 Time to educate you son! Michael Jackson spent more than anyone else in history on his video commercials. THAT is THE reason he had the largest record sales. Kids with no appreciation of music or lyrics were so impressed with his werewolf videos and investment returns that they joined the bandwagon and his finances spiraled out of control for a while before his popularity dwindled in the 90's. Only after his death, the businessmen rekindled the hype and millions of little children got suckered into believing his music was great.
You need "officials" to tell you what is good. That's why you'll never know what is good. I come equipped with my own pair of ears and a fully functioning brain to analyze it and I can hear that Prince was off the charts. He never paid little girls to faint like MJ did (he learned that from The Beatles) and he didn't lip-sync like Jackson often did. He didn't make excuses either. One time I flew to another country to see him play and he had a sore throat so the concert was canceled. I was disappointed but I never wanted to see him lip-sync because that would be pathetic...but that's what MJ did. Took the money and pretended to sing. The only jokes are the ones who think that is greatness.
As for MJ being the richest in 2018.....he was already dead for nine years. Only an idiot would measure a persons wealth 9 years after their death. Laugh at that!

I’ve never seen him do that. On the Musicology tour he performed covers of a number of reputable artist including MJ, Sly and the Family Stone and Beyoncé.
There were no way Prince could have done these tributes to MJ so many times for so long if he didn't respect him.... So Rip MJ and Prince...
And MJ probably had some love towards prince too because he wanted to collab with him so obviously MJ saw some talent there. They were both great artists

"Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" (Michael's lyrics) sung to the groove of "Cool" (Prince's music)...anybody else notice that? The "beef" they had was only ego driven. They RESPECTED each other's music.
There was never any beef. His sister talked about it in an interview and stated some journalist made the story up to stir up the masses. (Fake news) Prince just let them run with it.
@Luna T Quincy and LA Reid both say different. Something was going on in the 80s. I believe there was some beef but it got patched up at some point in the 90s, you hear lots of stuff. Apparently they mailed each other CD's before their albums came out, members of the NPG say they shot hoops together at Paisely Park and also there's that concert in Vegas where MJ went to see Prince and they hung out backstage according to reports. I think they left this world at peace with each other.

WOW! Never knew Prince did this. I love it, showing respect for Michael. I always thought it was a shame they were not friends. I have heard both be described as the loneliest person in the world. #Prince believed in God & so did #MJ .. God is infinite & resides in our best talents, skills, etc. but Men R limited, fallible, with short-sightedness & weaknesses. However, these 'huge little' egos of those in the industry such as SONY's Mottola & Geffen's David Geffen can never take away their accomplishments (tho' they try) & never pit the Fans against one another. #Prince & #MJ were both competitive, but they were on the same side of the #Music .. Just to follow up on comments made a while back, Prince never had a problem sharing the stage from the earlier performances to the later performances he never had a problem highlighting other artist on the stage and always gave them them spotlighted solos, So to break it down he was not afraid of being staged up at all... He respected all artist MJ included... Love them both💜💜💜💔
