- So what happens after you graduate boot camp exactly? Well I'm glad you asked! So I got a question from someone about to ship out in march and he was wondering how long it takes to get to A school after graduating and when he can get his phone and whatever else he's bringing with him to school. So I'll be talking about that in this here video and also giving a brief tour of my barracks because your A school barracks might look similar. Anyway if you have any questions feel free to drop them down below and of course slap that freakin subscribe button and I'll keep the content coming!
even though you graduated from navy bootcamp,you still can get stuck in the bootcamp if your order hasnt arrived,but good thing is you will get liberty and they treat you as sailor.but you still have to follow bootcamp rules.
ajith kulasekara yeah but THU has gotten really strict because people are being stupid and not following rules like coming back after curfew, sneaking alcohol on the ship and fraternizing with seps. Sometimes they wouldn’t drop liberty til 2000 so you only get like two hours and they secured phasing up so you always have to be in uniform.
thankfully i didnt get stuck in the bootcamp after graduation.Most of our division got shipped out after graduation.i know some of kids got restricked to the base in A school not following rules.
So funny watching Booties with no clue. After a year in the Fleet you'll look back your video and be like.. Damn! Nevermind. This shit is Real!

FATboyFAME basic advice I can give you now is while you’re waiting to ship out make sure you’re getting in shape to pass your PFA running, push-ups and sit-ups. Even if you’re playing video games and just pump out a few pushups as many as you can do will help and try to run a little bit every other day if you can. And at the very least memorize your 11 general orders and sailors creed before you ship out. Everything else they’ll pretty much teach you in boot camp. And if you’re not already E-3 then try to refer people to join cause pretty sure that still gets you a promotion before shipping if they’re still doing that or volunteer for a job in boot camp like Yeoman, Rpoc, MA, or Aron if you can sing well and have a loud voice. Other than that lemme know if you have any other questions and wish you the best of luck!
CTIs go to Monterey for language school at DLIFLC then they go to Hawaii, Virginia, Georgia, or Texas depending on the language. Asian languages so to Hawaii, Russian and other European languages so go Virginia, Arabic and Middle Eastern languages go to Georgia, and Spanish goes to Texas.
Kaylee, my son is in Bootcamp now for CTI . Do you go straight to Monterey after bc? How long is A school?
Bobbi Wingard most people go to Monterey right after boot camp. The only exception I can think of is if one graduates right before Christmas. Time in Monterey varies by language, I believe it is between 6 and 18 months. I haven't enlisted yet, so I can only tell you what I've heard from others.

My family probably won't be able to come to my graduation due to it being basically Christmas time (expensive flights), so how much time will I have to go buy clothes and other things?
A Pimentel what’s your rate? Depending on where your A school is you’ll have either one day or all weekend but even if you have to fly to your school the next day you’ll still have the weekend to go out and buy clothes and stuff before starting school on Monday.

i plan on joining in 4 years :/ i just turn 14 few months ago i am for sure i am going i going to try my best to keep the us navy my goal and i plan on staying 10 years if i dont know were to go when that time up ill stay for 10 more

My son is going to Navy Police? Shore police? Where does he goes and how much time will he have with family?
for the family that cant make it into graduation. should they come to see him after graduation or should they wait for the sailor to get liberty?
If you want to be in the area so you’re close yes. They should get liberty that afternoon depending on if they need to check in with the A school across the street which takes some time. But they’ll have that weekend for liberty too so you could wait til the next day.
@@garrettdumler5362 thank you for answering my question. I guess my question is does the sailor get liberty at A school? My family that cant make it into graduation is undecided to see him after graduation is over but limited hours or wait til Florida when he gets liberty. Not sure if they get liberty while at A school in Florida. How soon will he get it? Sorry just trying to decide and make the best decision.
@@FoxFireFarm they’ll have liberty during A school too. The family just needs to coordinate with the sailor to find out when they have a duty free weekend so they have more time. They’ll have liberty during the week but with school and training free time will be limited. I didn’t have much free time at all during my A school I just went to school, the gym and did homework and went to bed during weekdays.

Hey I have a question if you get this on here I’m just curious my daughter is 18 and she went to the Navy Boot Camp in Illinois great lakes how long does she go through the intense training I just wanna know some more about it anyways if you could give me some answers I’m really worried about her
The training is about 8 weeks long as long as she graduates on time. Sometimes they get pushed back tho.
It's ship 12 just recently got moved I'm here now had to get a waiver and reclass due to tricare.

Little tips about boot camp
1)bring everything with you, TV, your dog, lots of money, lots and lots of it. Bring your cigarettes because you will be allowed a 45 minute smoke break every day.
2) shave your head prior to leaving. The RDC's love it! Saves them work
3) make sure you bring your laptop
4) rent a car while in boot camp so you can get around base.
5)DO NOT sleep before leaving,they let you sleep 24 hours the first day there
6) bring some weed
7) bring some alcohol, some girls in your division might be willing to get drunk and dirty with you
8) establish dominance by not listening to the PO's.
9) and most important have fun😋

After bootcamp can you go home?
Yes after bootcamp you’ll have to wait til you get to your A school wherever it is depending on your rate. Then also depending on your school schedule you should have an opportunity to take leave at some point. At the very least once you finish A school before you check into your first command before your report no later than date.

Have you ran into any RP’s? Thats my rate. I ship in a couple months for bootcamp. Lol cant lie fam the anticipation is off the charts for me
Adam Mcfadden I was in boot camp with an RP but that doesn't really count lol and you'll sometimes see them around the chaps at chapel on Sundays. I don't really know much about them other than they pretty much are like the bodyguard of the Chaplain. I'm an engineer so unfortunately I don't have much experience with them.

I do have a question im a little on the older side going in i not long turned 29 will that play a roll in the community of bootcamp. I mean i know age doesnt matter,but i also do know my future shipmates will be alot younger than me if not older. But thanks again for replying back. How do you feel about the new uniform an the new retirement plan that they have?

Is there liberty in A school? Are you allowed visitors?
nicole mills yes there’s liberty in A school in the evenings m-f usually around 1800 at least where I was and then on the weekends if you don’t have duty. And you’re visitors but they have to check out on the quarterdeck for you to leave.
So while in C school( Dental Assistant school), will they send us home during Thanksgiving?
Jay Man good for you on getting a C school most people don't get that. And it depends on the command you're going to. Typically they'll have the whole base leave for Christmas but for thanksgiving you'll have to put in a leave chit and put it in super early and just pray they approve it.
Rett Dumler JESUS is the only way it happened man! Plus with my rate Dental Techs are no longer a single rate due to them combing it with Corpsman. Instead of DT we’re called HMDA(Hospital Corpsman Dental Assistant) now. As soon as I get there will I go ahead and turn one in. By the way what’s a chit sheet and how will I get my hands on one. Also with thanksgiving being on the weekend won’t I be able to leave and be back within 48hrs due to liberty? I definitely appreciate the immediate reply though man.
Jay Man yes with it being a weekend you could do that only if your family is close by and you'd still have to put in a deviation chit in order to do that. And a chit is basically any kid of form in the navy like if you were going on leave, getting a tattoo, or getting a wager for shaving, etc.
Rett Dumler ahh I see. My family is in Atlanta and I’ll be in San Antonio for C school. So my best bet is to fill out the paperwork first thing when I get there?

ルイジ スマッシュDX no you literally can’t really bring anything with you to Bootcamp cause it’s all getting sent back home in a box. You’re basically only allowed your wallet, an address book, and maybe a small bible and that’s it.

How long is A school like how many weeks?
It depends on your rating. Some A schools can be months to a year and others as short as a week. Did you pick a rate yet? If you tell me your rate I can give you a better answer.

Hello i have a color deficiency. But i dont know wht type it is bc i can distinguish red from green color but when i will do a ishihara test i cant see it. Can i be enlist in the us navy even if i have color deficiency?
Yes there’s just some jobs you can’t do with colors deficiency. Like most aviation rates and anything electrical

Philly Gromer my A school is here in Great Lakes so the same place yours is gonna be but I'll be gone by the time you get here cause I finish school in a couple months. I'm just waiting on my orders so hopefully I get something good! QM's a good rate though. One of the original 4 rates so good choice.

When they have you stand on the machine to let you know what type of shoe or boot you will need,will it gove you what size your foot is? Just a curious question.
Adam Mcfadden I totally forgot about even doing that lol no that's more for like seeing if you're flat footed or where you tend to put most of your pressure when you stand. You'll get your New Balances which we call Go Fasters that first night you get there and you won't get your boots til like a week later I think it's all kind of a blur honestly haha. When you get your boots tho they'll have a thing to put your foot in to see what size you need and even if you select the wrong size for the New Balances just tell them you need a size up or down and they'll get you another one. Just make sure they fit good cause you'll be wearing them for the next 8 weeks

I mean yeah they're gonna be yelling at you for pretty much all of boot camp and it's a huge culture shock when you first get there plus you're super tired but when it comes to your shoes and all the clothes and uniforms you're issued they really do wanna make sure everything fits the way it's supposed to so if something isn't right make sure you speak up

Kayy you can have people of the same sex in there that’re also navy but they can’t stay the night and no civilians are allowed in the barracks other than in the quarterdeck area.
Do all PACT people go to Florida? Or just aviation
