Jin mori loses his power midway through and just perfects his martial arts to the point that he was bout as strong as before and then he got his powers back and was basically unbeatable.
If they hadn't skipped most of the story and just straight up ruined some of the fights, the show would have mattered. They skipped too much plot, that's why it sucks. The real plot is not bad. Solo Leveling is good because they followed and adapted the story correctly.
