    This is actually an excellent idea ... do more scenarios like this ... and maybe even some dynamic ones with "real" bad guys

    Great idea for a video. Way better than dry firing at the tv while my kids watch cartoons. Thanks again for such an awesome channel.

    i just found this video and absolutely love it. would love to see more of these. more pistol variants, rifle versions, and maybe even some set up to involve switching between pistol and rifle. maybe even some rotating/flip targets for other drill types.

    I've heard that the dynamic training at Bill Rogers School is some of the most difficult because of time & accuracy.

    • @adamw4469
      @adamw4469 3 года назад +2

      In all of the training world, Rogers is the most intimidating to me. There will no doubt be extremely high level shooters in any Rogers class (beyond what is considered a true "very good" shooter otherwise), the course fee alone is $1200 and you'll shoot roughly 2,500 rounds of ammo. That's a lot of cheddar if you don't have your shooting very well together.

    Question about dry firing: My firearm is an M&P and I am unaware of a dry fire kit for the gun. So, for this drill, should I pause the video to reset my trigger, or learn to cock the gun and resight faster?

    • @TacticalRifleman
      @TacticalRifleman  7 лет назад +9

      Excellent question. While a dedicated dry-fire weapon is preferred; you can get away with making one yourself. Using a small piece of paper, fold it up and place it near the extractor. The goal is to keep the pistol slightly out of battery. This actually keeps the sear from releasing. Thus, the trigger springs back and does not need to be reset. This trick works with most pistols, including the Glock. I’m not 100% sure it works on an M&P. So, please try it out and let us all know how it works. Thanks for trying it for me. Strength & Honor, TR.

      Can you expand on how to make your glock reset without racking the slide....maybe a link or a better description on where to put the paper on the extractor?
