Martin Lawrence was just simply continuing the tradition of Fred Sanford vs Aunt Ester, George Jefferson vs Florence, James Evans vs Wilona, JJ vs Thelma etc black comedy roast dynamic.
Haven't laughed like this in a long time. It's amazing how the writers and actors in the Jefferson's and Sanford and son days had the same chemistry as did the writers and actors in the martin days. And even tho it was thru comedy it felt good to see the black chemistry as well as the black love on all three sitcoms nice. And I forgot how good Pam from Martin actually looked back then..
