  • Hello friends,
I recently bought for this year the Econo Floss Cotton Candy Machine it's by Gold Medal. The Cotton Candy machine works great. It's very fast and it's very user friendly. There are two buttons one is the power and the other one is to turn on the heater. Once the heater gets warmed up it's pretty easy to start using. To support me you may buy me a cup of coffee on Kofi .com. Thanks guys.

hi you need to buy flossine which is the concentrate 2 table spoons of concentrate to 5kg sugar you will save a fortune believe me i am in New Zealand and i am a gold medal dealer been selling there great product since 1996 go hard

Good advice. 2 tablespoons might be a bit much. I would start with 1 for that amount of sugar. Too much produces a darker color.

Correct. 5 lbs of sugar and 1tsp of flossine. The premix sugar is too costly. I have been selling cotton candy since 1967 btw

Cotton candy sells best in the fall. Summer heat causes it to .eat faster and humidity makes it sticky. You don't need the floss sugar. Regular granulated sugar is cheaper and 1 can of flossine will flavor 1000lbs of sugar or more

As someone who owns one of these machines, I think you forgot to add the "floaters" on the part that spins. They keep the cotton candy from flying up everywhere and keep it more uniform. Great work though. I use this machine a lot.

Don't know where you live, but in Texas, its too humid here to use the cheap cc bags. It shrinks. We HAVE to use the tubs! The tubs have held cc full here for a full month! We haven't tried past that... good luck!

You gotta start in the inside and lift it over the middle. You’re mushing it, and when it hits the spinner, it’ll melt. Your machine is too high. You need the top of the machine to be even with a tabletop if you’re gonna get a plastic dome. You’re starting too high on the stick. You should mix your own sugar.

Can someone please tell me why whenever I make cotton candy it always shrivels up within minutes? I've been thinking of starting a cotton candy business. I bought a cotton candy machine for home use to to try and get the feel of it first. The cotton candy always starts out great, (round and fluffy)but within 5 minutes or less, it shrivels up😢. I don't know where I am going wrong. Would be helpful with any tips.

You have to seal it in a bag or container. The heat and moisture in the air is what effects the fluffyness of your sugar.

How are the cotton candy sales going? I'm in Maryland too and started selling cotton candy online but have been afraid of our weather to sell at markets. How are yours holding up on hot days?

So far so good. I'm gonna make a video of this soon.
They deflate. So. I sell them at a discount or give them away. I still sell 30 or so a week. I put a few out for display and then keep them in the shade and put them in deli Cups. They sell pretty well. I charge $5.

@@DanielSchmidt94521 I hear ya' Daniel but the classic I just miss w/o all that coloring. The last I tasted white cotton candy was the year 2011 at an indoor amusement place named, "Enchanted Castle" and there, they had an automatic cotton candy machine which delivered warm white vanilla cc on a stick. Delicious!!!
      Thanks for responding though.🤗💕
