I just love watching your videos, your ideas are good, and I always have a little chuckle listening to your funny little comments at times, always brightens up my day so thank you.
Love this card! Love your voice so soothing. Really enjoyed watching your tutorial. I was looking for more recent ones but only found this one. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Clara - Welcome to the Channel! There are a lot of videos on to backwatch if you're interested. Here is the Christmas card playlist, including some of my faves from other RUclips artists - ruclips.net/p/PL3czOqB_FoIuLUbWcr89lI8auNCNg_-OJ
Good Evening Julia, Great torn paper Christmas card. I have the same picker you have. I bought mine, where I got 2 in a plastic container. I used to have alot of stamp until stamp set. But I always had a hard time getting my stamps to stamp evenly or clearly, so now the majority of my stamps come from Stamping Magazines. The Stamping magazine had the best buy for your money because you would get a page the size of the magazine full of stamps and sentiments! I prefer the clear stamps that can be used on the Mist or Tim Holts Stamp press similar to the Misti. Love to design cards for family and friends.
Thank you Roxanne! Those cards never fail to be a nice addition to the Christmas lineup. And I enjoy making them. One thing you can do to help with stamps to make them stamp more evenly is to put a mouse pad under where you are stamping. Or you can pull them off and put them up on EZ Foam so you can use them on Misti.
Hi Julia, I love your Christmas card, and enjoyed watching the process. I never thought of making a Christmas card using strips of paper like this, although you could also use washi tape which would also be nice. What really impressed me was the little detail that you put on the inside of the card, and I am going to do that when making my next cards. What I should do is start making my Christmas cards months in advance, but I never do, and I scramble to get them done just before Christmas. I have been known to make Christmas cards in December!!! Julia, you have inspired me to start NOW, and build up my stash ready for Christmas! God's richest blessings, Gloria
You know I get pushed on Christmas cards also! But I get started just as soon as the last Halloween card is off the table. Because I am such a stampaholic my Christmas collection takes over the whole studio. And I try not to make more than 2 cards the same so that I can ink more stamps. I could use some elves!! Have a wonderful day and thanks for your lovely comments! Come back soon!!
Thank you so much Dinny! I really liked that card also. I was thinking about it the otherday when I came across some narrow torn strips. I might have to re-make that video!! Take care and enjoy your cardmaking!!
Thank you for sharing the technique. I really like the highlighting idea with the inks. The background super cool. Cute way to create the trees. Im still trying to get comfortable with tearing paper 🫣. Lol love the card. Keep up the great work.
I understand completely Tabitha! Tearing paper is certainly not my first go to!! But it really works well in this application and you really just can't go wrong with these cards.
Hi Kiwipommie I am so glad you enjoyed these cards and Welcome to My Channel! There is a lot of good content already on the channel if you would like to backwatch. And, I try to put out a new video on Sunday afternoons (USA time), So Come Back Soon!!
Just found your RUclips channel... loving it. Please can you tell me the brand and where you got your tape dispenser.. the little ones run out too quickly.
Hi Robyn! Welcome to My Channel - I'm glad you're here. Since making that video I have switched adhesives to liquid glue. It is much less expensive and easy to use when you put it in smaller fine tip bottles. However if you want to try the ATG I have used it for years and still do often. The refills are less expensive when you order the generic brand - just be sure and get the ones for the "Pink" dispenser - the tape wheels are a bit different. Let me know if you have any questions? Happy Holidays to you!
Julia, these torn paper scraps made nice Christmas trees for your card, but I saw something else when you first laid them onto your card. They kinda looked like mountains too, or is it just my imagination playing tricks of me, LOL.
I just love watching your videos, your ideas are good, and I always have a little chuckle listening to your funny little comments at times, always brightens up my day so thank you.
Thanks Judy! Sometimes I crack myself up, which is better than being depressing I think?! So glad it brightens you day!!
Hi Julia, this popped up,again in my feed so I watched and learned. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Those are unique cards to make. I think it's the script or perhaps the blacked edge??
Another wonderful Christmas card using pattern paper! Thx

@@SeniorSusieStamps Maybe a card with mountains made with torn scraps would be a great idea then.
