I can't possibly think of a better way to celebrate Schumann's Birthday than playing on Clara's piano ! Thanks for sharing this moment with us Tiffany !
It's always a pleasure to have Tiffany Poon appear on my RUclips page! ❤👍(Schumann himself was probably a "presence" in that room, marvelling at how his music is being played on HIS piano!)
Magical. Thank you for giving me a doorway into Schumann. I never had interest in his music before because I hadn’t developed an understanding of his concepts. All it takes is one good interpretation to unlock the door 💜
Thanks. Enjoyed it very much. This piano is instructive in understanding the points at which you pedal as it makes that sound. Thought it could be an idea to have it as a feature in hybrid pianos for the sake of teaching.
It's lovely to hear on such an instrument. Thank you for sharing. I'm sure you are making Mr. Schumann proud, even if only by your desire to respect his music. It would be fun if there were an antique piano museum in NYC where you could be an artist in residence. You could give them back their singing voices. 🎶✨
Also tiffany, please come to canada…Toronto… I will be sure to come to your recital. I realize that there needs to be other demands for this location, but please consider this.
I’m a horn player and would absolutely love to record Schumann’s Adagio and Allegro sometime with friends! It’s a masterpiece of chamber music for horn and piano! This piano would be fantastic to play with! So light and delicate sounding.
Hearing these pieces performed on these historic period instruments is always a special treat. I'm now wondering if you have tried all of Robert Schumann's piano pieces by now, or do you have more to uncover?
amazing. Kissin does a good version of this on the Olympia label. Your version is great. In the same way that your middle section of the Liszt-Schubert Serenade (which I don't usually like because it is so loud and 'banging' in comparison to the rest of the work) was played so sweetly at your London gig.. so, too, you manage to convey this piece excellently.
💖 That piano is almost a century old....Have pianos changed any over the past 100 yrs? How different is physically playing this piano vs one manufactured today?
Why doesn't Tiffany attack the instrument vigorously like she normally does, is that because the old instrument is fragile, or the music just doesn't call for i?
@@TiffanyPoonpianist "attack" as in play vigorously....sometimes she pounds her Steinway very vigorously (in a musical way). I love this channel, I love Tiffany!!
See you in Amsterdam? 😃 www.muziekgebouw.nl/nl/agenda/14814/tiffany-poon/debuut-in-amsterdam
Sadly I won't be able to attend that performance but I hope in the not too distant future to listen in person at one of your future shows :) .
Will there be a meet and greet after :D i will be there!
@@Strawberryfreak Yes :)
I will be there!!! So excited to hear you play in person!

Oh, to be so lucky as to be visiting the Schumann Haus museum at the time Tiffany is there playing Clara's piano!! 🤗
The melody really sings with this instrument.
It gives a useful insight when interpreting schumann’s works
She played my favorite Schumann piece on Schumann’s day 🥹🥹 tysm Tiffany ❤️🫰🏽
Aww I'm glad you like this piece 🤗❤️
So beautiful. It is quite clear to feel your spiritual connection with the Schumanns when you play their instruments in their house
this sounds so soothing on Clara's piano
theres just something about how delicate it sounds that just fits this sort of music!
I know, right?! A lucky find in my archives
Wunderbar, und das auf dem fast 200 Jahre altem original Claras Piano, vielen Dank Tiffany.
Way to make the music soar with feeling and colors which inspire!
Bravissimo, Tiffany. I love listening to your Schumann. Such a unique instrument, too. Best of luck to you in Amsterdam.
I was inspired to learn this piece after hearing Lorin Hollander perform it on his album many years ago. Beautifully played where it all started.

I love how the pedal has it's own sound 😊💕
simply beautiful, thanks for such a great performance ❤
Nothing could be better than Tiffany playing Schumann except for Tifanny playing Clara's piano.
Always putting a smile on my face ❤😃🍀
Just mesmerizing. Thank You Tiffany!
Very nice and beautiful ❤️ 😍 🤩 👌 ❣️ Thank you
Beautiful. Thank you
As always, enchanting, magical, just Tiffany!

This piece really does remind me of “Pride and Prejudice” 2005❤️

Brilliant! 🦆

The chaka chaka sound is fantastic. Percussion included.
You look successful here Tiffany, as though you have reached a Goal !

I like how each pedal press seems like pressing your hand against a harp
As close as we can get to hearing it as it sounded in Schuman so time.
Hi Tiffany
👍❤❤❤
Muhteşem
Those videos are my favorites.

Almost two centuries!
@@pleomonzi8365 Oops you're right. Little brain fart there :)
Lovely Schumann. Who is the pretty Artist???
Tiffany Poon
Now that is a good question/s
Very nice, no need to say any more 😊
Okay but this thing lowkey sounds like a banjo
Why doesn't Tiffany attack the instrument vigorously like she normally does, is that because the old instrument is fragile, or the music just doesn't call for i?
Oh gosh, I hope I never attack any instrument and if I ever did, I sincerely apologize to all those instruments 😳😬
Where did you even get this narrative from…?
It’s a small instrument and an lo-fi recording. She’s playing with her usual aplomb.
@@TiffanyPoonpianist "attack" as in play vigorously....sometimes she pounds her Steinway very vigorously (in a musical way). I love this channel, I love Tiffany!!
@@brodricj3023 I think approach or even play would have been better words.
What did you need to do to adapt to this instrument ?
Exactly what I was wondering 😉
It's op. 18 :)
Yep 🧐🙏
I bet it is under A=440. A=338 you think?
338 is very low, did you want to say 438 ? The piano is around A=428
