The elder Maponga needs to consider this :The reading of scripture is influenced by the culture and tradition we have come out of. If you know anything about translating language, you would know that other languages have concepts, phrases, slangs, metaphors, symbols, words and cultural vernacular that do not have exact representative when translated to another language. There is an entire history behind a culture and their language.This is why there is the phrase "LOST IN TRANSLATION". Add to this that we are 2000yrs and many cultures removed from the ORIGINAL LANGUAGE OF THE TEXT. Therefore before we interpret this semitic text to African perspective we need to consider the above. Which is impossible.
The problem with us is that we are so spiritual and we take to heart to values of leadership,..... And we show our hand in our politics when the rest of the world operates in deception. As africans There need to be complete off the grid dialog. There should be a public policy and private reality.
