Hi Dusty!! Your art/craft/office room is such a nice space and nice and bright with so much natural light. It's down-pouring as I'm watching this, so much heat and humidity and the last two days...rain and of course it's the weekend.
Oh it hasn’t rained during the day for awhile here. It is supposed to rain today and tomorrow of course. I am taking Chuck to the library so he can get a card and find something to read.
Such a nice vlog, love your vibe ! Hope your having a good day
Thanks for watching!
I love your vlog 🫶🏽. You know I get what you were saying about Pride & Prejudice. The first time I read it I felt the same way. I also know what you mean about reflecting on the content we share on our channels...I'm always reflecting in the same way. Keep doing what you love and what brings you joy. I think that's the most important goal generally but especially for my reading life.
Thank you. ❤ And yes, I wouldn’t want to do this if it became a chore. It really is enjoyable and I have “met” so many nice people.
I just visited our little free library to leave some books, and when I opened the door, it fell off!!! I bet all those books are getting wet now that it's raining so hard. I LOVE free little libraries. #FreeLittleLibraries. Ohhhh, that would be fun to make your own free little library.
Oh no! Some of them I’ve seen need some work for sure. It would be fun to have one but idk how much traffic it would get on my street.
Bye bye Secret! 😂 And Throw away your lovelies was a very nice way of saying Kill your darlings! A lot more kid friendly 😅
I was just thinking that I was loving your energy in this video, when you started talking about your channel plans and why you started it. There was such a sense of joy and confidence about you, I loved seeing that. As for content, I say do whatever excites you like that! That’s The Secret 😄 I think your idea for a series sounds great, and you sounded excited by it!
Lovely vlog! The dog walk clips made me laugh though, I hope you don’t mind! First the vertical clip that was also horizontal and then you told us about the slomo 😂 😂 I only laugh because I’ve been there! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten record/stop the wrong way round in my head, so I end up with only clips of all the parts in between the actual shots I wanted! 😂 We try!
Thanks so much- I always love reading your insightful comments. I have not heard "Kill your darlings" but you are right... it was much more kid friendly to say throw away your lovelies.😆 And the dog walk.. haha, I watched that footage and figured... well I'll include it anyway. haha. Oh and originally I messed up and had the clip of the free library before the clip where I said, "let's go to the library" 🤷♀️lol. I agree about our channels needing to be what excites us. It really is fun to have this creative outlet.
@@TheLibraryMouseGina Maybe kill your darlings is more for the movie industry, I’m not sure! You might have the most beautiful shot, but if it doesn’t move the story forward - cut it! 😄
I’m glad you kept the dog walk though! That wasn’t a darling haha but it moved the story forward! Absolutely the right choice! And in the right order! 😂 It’s a humbling thing to make videos haha
The water bottle for walking with dogs is nice. I always carry a cup because where I walk Bella! in the cemetery there are water faucets. I still would like one of those. -James
Yes it' is really nice when you are walking where there isn't access to water. At first she didn't want to use it but now she does.
I love free little libraries!! I really want to make my own and I think you should too!
I also have been re-reading some of my childhood favorites this year and I’ve LOVED it!!
It would be fun and creative to make a library. I live on a dead end street... idk... maybe people would come to visit? What is one of your childhood favorites?
@@TheLibraryMouseGina I think if your library is listed on Google, people would definitely come visit! That’s how I used to find all of the little free libraries I visited.
One of my childhood favorites was Into the Land of Unicorns by Bruce Coville.
Bruce Coville was always a favorite author of the fourth graders I taught. :) A favorite memory was my coteacher and I reading Goblins in the Castle around a fake campfire in our classroom to our students. They loved it and so did we.
@@TheLibraryMouseGina Oh my goodness! How fun!! I never read his goblin books but, I read his Unicorn Chronicles and Magic Shop books!
I also loved and still love the LM Montgomery’s books, Lloyd Alexander, and George McDonald. I re-read some of those this year as well. 💕
