- My two slot Everest watch roll. Great for travel and it can double as a display at home. I was surprised to learn that some Rolex ADs sell the Everest brand secretly. Email questions, comments and the like to me at manning8channel@gmail.com.
@Manning8 what model Pelikan is that you used in the video? Very nice video by the way I do like the Everest 2 watch roll a lot! Hoping you can help with the Pelikan model as it looks like a good size pen and very sharp! Thank you!
Hi Thomas, I think this pen is called the M200. This is a smaller pen. I use it with a fine nib. It's great for filling in forms especially. HTH!
Hi, does the watch clasp make contact with the bottom of the case...Rolex clasp can sit differently depending on how it's closed
There's no contact at all...lots of clearance with my watches...Sub, Datejust, OP39 have all been fine. Thanks for the comment!
Very nice enjoy
Thanks for the comment Mike. Enjoy your watches!
Do you know the max case height fits in?. I have a 16 mm height at my watch and I’m scared that the watch does not fit in.
Thanks for the question. I don't have any measurements other than to say my Sub is 12.5 mm thick and there's clearly another 4mm between the bezel and the lid of the watch roll. You can easily eyeball this fact. But if you're going to use the watch roll for travel, then the top might become compressed and I can't be certain how much clearance you will end up with. HTH!
👋Thanks for the review! But its too pricey. However, I also got the MIRAGE watch roll from Amazon. Same functionality though.
Thanks for the comment. Amazon is definitely worth checking out for price and selection. One reason to possibly consider the AD is to play the game and stay on their good side for the day you want a hard to get piece.
@@manning8 yes check them out. Hope to see your review on it, if you liked it! I am loving it so far, elegant display also. :)
Check out the carapaz website, they actually make and supply these for Everest then Everest bump up the price and resell them! They are made in Switzerland and the carapaz original ones are cheaper by over $100 and have a second slot which also allows you to display the watches. I picked one up today with a cyber Monday deal and got the 4 watch roll for $346 delivered
carapaz.com
@@BoyCypriot Where did you get this information of carapaz making these for Everest?? Also, the carapaz case is not made in Switzerland.
@@whereRbearsTeeth I have heard it from several sources, also all you have to do is look at the design, they’re identical! Also isn’t it strange that Everest have never sold one with the display notch, probably because Carapaz hold the patent for that? I can’t be 100% sure that they’re made or manufactured in Switzerland but according to their website they are designed and developed in Switzerland and were around way before Everest. Either way I own both and the Carapaz version is better in my opinion 🤷🏼♂️
Nice Review! Can you tell me what type of material they use for the inside? On their website they only say soft material and thats no big help. :( Thanks!
@Doerks93 Thank you. Unfortunately the fabric isn’t labeled so I can’t be sure about it. It is definitely soft. I think it’s a synthetic fabric that’s made in a way to create a fuzzy nap.
@@manning8 Can you say something about the durability of the synthetic fabric? Tbh, I am undecided because it's not leather.
@Florian Koenig The exterior is leather and the interior appears to be a soft, synthetic fabric of some kind. The fabric is still in perfect condition after more than a year. No rips, tears, or loose threads. HTH!
How much this type of case worth?
The MSRP was $285 and I received a 9% discount. I paid $259.43. Should have stated that in the video. Thanks!
Manning8 I hope I’ll find it in Singapore
@Sayed Imam I think Singapore is an important watch market. It would be a mistake for Everest to ignore it.
@@manning8 and i assume the ad gave you that discount?
@Acorn Tree Sure, the AD was the seller and I was the buyer. We agreed that a 9% discount was the appropriate price.
Sorry to rain on you parade, but I bought two Everest straps and they both failed with less than one year of wear. I had the straps for more than a year, so Everest would not warranty those straps, that cost me $500. I understand how warranties work, but for both straps to fail with only a few months of wearing them is bad business. I avoid anything Everest.
@ryvr madduck I understand your disappointment. Straps should last more than a year. No one could disagree on that point. Also, I have no equity interest in Everest. My own experience has been positive so that’s what I have shared here.
@@manning8 hate to say I tell anyone and everyone my bad experience with Everest, and I tried to work with them.
I just got one like this for $45 off Amazon. I would not pay more than $75 for this thing.
Wow you found a great deal!
@@manning8 It's not that hard you literally just have to go to Amazon, I just ordered a 3 watch one for $45.
@Andrew Giblin Good info! I could do a better job shopping around.
I can almost guarantee it's it not as good of quality. But if you don't care about that, then go that way.
