Excellent Vlog by Chris. Kadhi Chawal is eaten as lunch so some people may start to sell around 11 ish. Frankly, I love the way you pronounce Kadhi Chawal. I am a Delhiite who is married to a foreigner for several years but my wife cannot eat a lot of north Indian food as she finds it quite spicy. So you have another crown to be able to not just eat but even appreciate the lovely Indian food. I can clearly see that you have made a lot of efforts to learn Hindi / Urdu as I feel that it's a difficult language to learn. Lastly, street food and local transport are two best ways in my opinion to explore any place. Good luck and looking forward to see some more vlogs!
Most westerners will not like North Indian food since not only do they find it extremely spicy subsuming the flavour of the veggies/ ingredients in the dish but also dangerously oily / greasy.
glad you enjoyed the food and wasn't much bothered by the honking and cleanliness.. thank for you staying so humble and kudos on your efforts to learn some hindi

Welcome to India, Chris. Things start late in Delhi because they work till late at night, unlike some other countries where at 8 PM everything closes down.
if you are to eat street food In India only eat if it is piping hot. things to avoid: Non-bottled water and uncooked foods like salads, buffet breakfast in hotels that's not fresh cooked.
