Congrats on the new motor, since subscribing, I been obessing about GTRs....then i bought a gtr, but from the auction. Learned a lot from you. Keep it up.💪
I like your videos, but why did you not rebuild yours? You would have had peace of mind that everything was right. You should at least take sump and timing cover off and check the pan, oil pickup & oil pump. Otherwise you just don't know...
I found a longblock for basically the same price as a built bottom end. This motor is unopened and shouldn’t have any issues. Let’s hope for the best 🤙
@@adamhouston4299I was in exactly same position as you. I bought mine with damaged bottom end and I decided to repair it (in my 2 car garage!). I did look at other engines but if I had bought another I think I'd still be tempted to check the sump and oil pump 🙂 I look forward to seeing yours on the road 👍
Hell yeah!! I rewatched a video on the new t-type vs an old gtr r35 and if the price difference was worth it, last night. I thought about you and when you were gonna put a video out again......and here you are lol.
@@adamhouston4299 it's terrifying fast bro lol I don't know how this guy's go 1500 2000 or more that's totally insanity, for a street cars like our cars 700 is already more than enough to have lots of fun and plus being reliable whith I believe is very important. My turbos are AMS Alpha 11, I replaced turbos, intercooler also AMS Race intercooler, 1300cc injectors, fuel pump e85, I also installed a carbon fiber AMS intake manifold and a boost logic titanium exhaust, if one day you come around NY let me know let's go for a rip
Definitely need a Torque wrench for all those bolts you just installed, especially anything that you won't be able to torque once the engine goes back in the car, turbo oil leaks would suck, and you don't want to mess up the threads or break bolts by over tightening anything
I don’t believe you 😂 you hummered bolts with the impact. You also tightened the torque plate without a torque wrench and then impact The bellhousing bolts 😂

What year and condition did you end up getting? 😁
@adamhouston4299 salvage 2015: running condition with built tranny minor things to replace
