Just found your channel, you remind me so much of my oldest son. Binged watched the GTR videos. Owning one myself I've enjoyed watching your journey. Word of advise get an oil/air separator asap, or you'll fill up those replacement intercoolers and intake with oil all over again.

I don't know how you got that harness on with the motor in - pretty tight!
I took the plugs off the ECU and pulled it through, then reattached the harness to the motor before it went back in.

ali express oil cooler is just one of the many items that are the same as big brand companies the others I’ve found:
- billet engine oil pan
- down pipes
- billet trans oil pan
- intercooler
One of my contacts went to Sema and the ali express suppliers were walking around saying they make the stuff for big brand American companies but didn’t mention which ones 😂
I’m realizing a lot of parts are just rebranded on this car and a ton of others lol
Get that gtr rolling babyyy. I got 2 e39s, black one is built motor with a custom gt25 twin setup and a silver one I’m gathering parts to n54 swap. Definitely gonna record and post the swap too!
I’m not going to lie, my next project will hopefully be a f80 m3. Trying to find a wrecked or blown up one to rebuild for the channel
@@adamhouston4299 swear to you shits cake to work on if my black car didn’t have a custom exhaust manifold for the turbos I could pull my motor in like 25mins it stays pretty similar even for f80. Biggest things working on the new ones is having a good scanner and honestly questions I feel like the only way “bmws are hard to work on” is if you can’t identify the problem

Yeah that’s the plan when the budget allows. This motor and turbo setup cost me a ton 😂

I bought my wife a rav4 to daily and that’s what I’ve been driving till the gtr is back. Hers is a 2010 and has the v6 which is surprisingly fast for an suv lol
